I have been a customer here for a while and each time I go their I am delighted with the personnel and professional service I receive. I was there this Saturday and Eric was very helpful and most importantly friendly and attentive to my needs. The eye doctor there is also very good at what he does and orders are placed and there to pick up very quickly. Prices are very reasonable and so I would highly recommend this eye place.

Take your business elsewhere. Do not waste your time with this place. Have yet to receive my glasses (it’s been well over a month) and each time I call for an update status they answer and say they’ll call me back (THEY NEVER DO) or not answer (DURING OPEN HRS). They’re hours don’t match with the hours online so I’ve wasted my time by making 3 trips and have yet no heard an updated status.

I was fitted for glasses on 5/22/2019, was told they would be ready in a week and the store would telephone me. That never happened. Yesterday I tried to phone the store but there was no answer and the store voicemail was full (has been for weeks) so I couldnt leave a message. This morning, Wednesday, June 5 I telephoned to let them know I was taking 2 hours off work to get there by 4 p.m. to pick up my glasses. I was assured that the store would be open until 5 p.m. When I arrived just before 4 p.m., the store was dark; there was a post-it note on the door saying the woman working there had closed early. They have my money (glasses cost $383), my new glasses and I am very upset and angry over the completely unprofessional way they do business--when they feel like it. I plan to get my glasses and then file a complaint with the Illinois Attorney General Consumer Affairs Division for fraud. They should either run a business or close up permanently.Beware of North Shore Optical. Dont do business with this place.

Im very pleased to find this little optical shop!! The doctor was kind, efficient and accurate. There is a substantial frame selection at all price points, more than the average store. Eric, who works the front desk was so helpful. I tried on about 20 pairs of glasses; he was like having a BFF shopping girlfriend!! In the end, I ordered TWO pairs of glasses. Thanks, Eric!

Whats wrong with this place tho? I came yesterday saw the open sign left open , the lights were on but door were locked , me and another guy waited for nearly 40 mins outside and nobody ever came ! Nobody picked up the phone too even yesterday and today

Ive been a patient of Dr. Dewards and a client of Northshore Optical for 11 years now. When I went in to get my first pair of contact lenses back in highschool, Dr. Deward was extremely kind and patient, and explained the entire process of the examination to me step by step.Since then, every follow upup appointme Ive made has been easy and successful. The staff was always very friendly, and willing to work with me in regards to finding the best options for brands and answering questions, as well as calling me to inform me when my lenses come in.Ive recently moved to California, so Ill have to look for another optometrist. I only hope theyre as great as Dr. Deward and Northshore.

Went in for eye exam for glasses October of 2016, got my glasses October of 2017. They never called to follow up- I gave up hope until one day I really needed my glasses. They lost my glasses or something and had to reorder them. They never called me to follow up at all.Please save yourself the hassle. They are really nice but inefficient.

Worst optical place ever! Its never open , when you call no one answer , voicemail is always full. Was there few months ago it was the quickest eye exam ever didnt even know what just happened, the dr dewaard doesnt help you or explain anything and feels like he wants you in and out. The contacts they sell you dont have a box and will report be careful coming here and the young lady was so rude , she felt like she didnt wanted to be there anymore and she looks unprofessional.

Ordered glasses on 11/1/2017. Went back to check on them multiple times, was told every time (that they werent closed) theyd be ready in about a week. I finally just got my prescription on 3/26/18 so I could get a cheap pair somewhere that would take less than 6 months.
