I am appalled by the visit I had with Dr. Blumenthal. I came to him with severe chronic pain due to menstruation—pain so blinding that it frequently renders me unconscious on the floor. I explained that I wanted an ablation and that due to my numerous complicated health issues, I know I will never want to pass on my DNA in any way, shape, or form. I have such debilitating medical issues that I would never want to take the risk of passing them on to a child. Instead of compassion, I was met with inappropriate and rude comments from Dr. Blumenthal. He told me that I should see a psychiatrist and be evaluated for anxiety and depression despite my chart and medication list which indicated that I am already being successfully treated for those disorders. When I reminded him of this, he asked me if I had been assaulted and said there “must be an emotional component” and an assault would explain that. As a woman who was assaulted at age 21, I told him that I saw no reason why that was necessary information with regard to the debilitating periods I’ve had since age 12. He told me that everything I’m experiencing is normal and there’s nothing wrong. I told him that he cannot possible tell me that it’s normal to lose so much blood and be in so much pain that my husband has to rescue me when he finds me unconscious on the floor. Dr. Blumenthal made me feel like some crazy, over-emotional, neurotic who couldn’t possibly know my own body and needs. I have not felt so demoralized by a doctor as I did in this appointment. No one deserves to feel this way.Dr. Blumenthal: While I am furious about how you treated me, I know that you may one day have complicated medical issues of your own. When you cross that bridge, I certainly wish you a better doctor than you were to me.

Dr. B is the best. I have been a patient for over 15 years. I left for about 2 years due to insurance switch, nothing in comparison, I was counting the days when I could make it back to his care. He has the best bed side manner any patient could ask for. He is very caring and will give you a sense of comfort with any issues that may arise. My last two pregnancies were under is care, well my last one he unfortunately had to refer me out, but he followed that pregnancy as if I was under his direct care. His staff is also amazing..they dont just know because of your chart in front of them, its real genuinely knowing you :). My husband came to every prenatal appt and Dr. B spoke with him as if he were the patient and made it feel at ease. Because I respect/value his knowledge and his opinion, I ask for referrals of other doctors/specialists that I need. And he will fuss at you when you havent done what you need to do. :) :)

Dr. Blumenthal was the absolute best. I had a horrible birth experience that lasted 4 days. Dr. Blumenthal was not on call when I went into labor, but I was so relieved when I was awaken in the middle of my third night and saw Dr. Blumenthal checking on me.

I have been with Dr. Blumenthal for 18 years. He is a wonderful doctor who truly cares about his patients. If you are looking for a good gynecologist, look no further. Dr. Blumenthal is the doctor to see.

Dr. Blumenthal has been my doctor ever since Dr. Dresner sem-retired. He is a wonderful person, excellent surgeon, and has been a supportive person in my life. His staff is great and I can praise Be Be from back to early times and much more. If a doctors office could be a home...this would be my choice. Thank you ALL.

I have been with Dr. Blumenthal for at least 30 years . He is the best, look no further.
