Words cant express how grateful I am to have found Dr. Kafali. I had the most terrible experience with another doctor that performed a labiaplasty, to say the previous surgery was botched is an understatement. Dr. Kafali performed a revision labiaplasty for me and I am beyond happy with my results. Dr. Kafali does amazing work and I only wish I would have gone to her first.

I’ve been with Dr. Kafali since the start of her career. That was about 16 years ago now. I’ve followed her into her private practice and she’s delivered both of my kids. 15 years apart. The second child was a c-section and she left me with minimal scarring which has healed up nicely and is below my bikini line. On my first pregnancy I tore delivering and she sewed me up beautifully there as well. She has magic hands and takes pride in her work.She’s incredibly knowledgeable, matter of fact and patient about explaining your options to you. She’s also gentle as an OBGYN and I extra appreciate that. Her office is typically busy and buzzing but the atmosphere inside is relaxing. She’s good so she is often booked but if you are diligent about planning ahead you’ll have no problems being seen. I’ve called to squeeze in here and there and the front desk staff, who has been with her for a long time, really work with me to make things happen. I’ve recommended her to friends and she’s delivered some of my favorite babies and has treated close friends of mine who have had precarious needs. Outside of taking care of your lady parts and delivering your children, she offers an array of other services at affordable prices. She’s also really passionate about what she does and that seems to make all the difference. I highly recommend! ❤️🙏🏽

Dr. Kafali truly has been a blessing. She listens and really shows how much she cares to help you. I’ve had bad experiences in the past and Dr. Kafali made me feel so welcomed and comfortable which means so much. I am very blessed to have found her!

Let me start by saying I have been going to Dr.Kafali since 2011 when I was pregnant with my first son. Over the years I’d come for regular check ups and if there was anything else I needed. She was helpful for the most part but unfortunately the front office she works with is the most unprofessional group of people I’ve ever had to associate with. I was asked to do a couple of blood tests and did so, then I found out I needed a full panel. When I called for this order to be emailed to me no one gave me any particular set of instructions regarding this panel I’d need to do. So I scheduled for my blood work only to arrive at Quest diagnostics (because they outsource everything) and be told I should have fasted for one of the tests that was on my order. I called the office and in a very arrogant way was told “oh yeah you need to fast” which then I stated would’ve been nice to know when I called initially for the order. I’m not sure which of the ladies answered at the front but she then just proceeded to hang up. This particular group of people who work for Dr. Kafali in the front lack professionalism as well as knowledge of medical terminology. More importantly lack of customer service!

I love Dr Kafali! She is an amazing doctor! She delivered both of my boys and I can’t thank her enough! I am very comfortable with her and trust her knowledge and expertise! I have moved to a different state and I do miss her and her staff dearly!

Dr. Kafali & her staff have shown me tremendous respect & care. This clinic prioritized my care from my very first introduction, surgery was scheduled & performed as quickly as possible which was so important during these uncertain times of global pandemic. I feel so lucky to have been introduced to this clinic. Do not hesitate to start your care with Dr. Kafali, she is wonderful.

Dr. Kafali had been my doctor for about 10 years and she has been great through patient and kind.l love the care and smile u give ne when i come see her i couldnt asked for a better gynecologist i travel from the south suburbs to the North side for my appointment also her office is clean and neat and she has a great staff too that works in a timely manner.

Dr. Sue is absolutely an amazing doctor! She listens, answers all the questions you have and very caring about your concerns. She is friendly and always makes me feel extremely comfortable before my annual check ups. Dr. Sue is very knowledgeable and has so much experience. I would recommend her to anyone!

Dr kafali was extremely rude and dismissive, with any concerns I had about my pregnancy. I felt ignored. Seems like when it comes to pregnancy and child birth poc dont ever matter. Feels like our lives arent important. Ive also seen the review responses of her and her staff here and seems extremely unprofessional. Theres one thing explaining the situation and then theres being passive aggressive with past clients, and current clients that arent giving good reviews.

Dr. Kafali is amazing ! She has been a great doctor for my mother, my sister & myself. For more then ten years. She delivered my baby csection she did an amazing job love her and her work. Mari is her best employee such a terrific and professional always a good time seeing her in the office. 💕

Wow! I would never go anywhere the doctor thinks it’s appropriate to respond in this manner to patients. Seems you missed the mark and come across as extremely rude like the reviews say. Unfortunate I need a doctor but I’m shocked at your responses. I don’t know you but wow.Wow your nuts! I don’t work at another Obgyn. Patients read reviews for demeanor and experiences. You are RUDE and unaware. You have a good summer crazy lady. Go talk to a therapist see what they think of your post.

Great medical staff! Had wonderful experience from start to finish. Was referred by my general doctor’s nurse( who was also a patient of hers). And I see why!Despite the unusual time of 2020 , pandemic year, being pregnant, dr Kafali made me feel so comfortable and coped easily with some stressful phases throughout the entire duration of my pregnancy and delivery. She is very caring, attentive and wise doctor who helped me with her medical and more important personal advices.I have been going there for almost a year now and will continue to see their wonderful medical staff!I’m so grateful and highly recommend Dr Kafali!!

Would not recommend Dr. Kafali. I saw her for an issue which she previously prescribed me a medication for but I felt like the issue had become worse. During my appointment, she completely dismissed all of my concerns and told me basically that there was no issue, even though I was having pain and she’d given me medication for it in the past. She then inserted a speculum into me without asking for consent or telling me what she was doing first. This was also alarming because I’m not old enough for a pap smear so there is no reason this should have happened and it made me extremely uncomfortable and frightened. I still to this day have no clue why she did that as she never told me. Asking me first would have been more professional and appropriate.On top of everything, she then prescribed me an antibiotic for the issue I was having which didn’t exist according to her, and I had a severe allergic reaction which I had to go to the ER for. It was so bad, my primary care physician had me come to her office daily to look at my rashes until they got better. It was so bad and painful, and I have an autoimmune condition so it was very worrisome. I called Dr. Kafali first and all she told me to do was take a Zyrtec and never called back to check on me or asked me about the symptoms of my allergic reaction. I will never see her again.

Two months ago I had my baby by c- section. Everything went well. Thank you very much Dr. Kafali for your kindness and professionalism. You and your team helped me feel safe throught my pregnancy.You answered all my questions and I felt very comfortable and supported. Thanks to Mary and all the staff for always doing everything to help me and clearing my doubts and to help me in the process.I highly recommend Dr. Kafaly, she is amazing.

Dr. Kafali was recommended by a family member. She is a great doctor who is thorough and compassionate. Her ultrasound technician is amazing. I wish I could say the same for her front office staff & the billing department. One person in particular stood out in the front office. I dont know her name, but she is rude. The billing department keeps sending me bills even though my secondary insurance was never billed & I always call them to bill my secondary and they never do. At this point Im just annoyed. I give them 2 stars only because I was satisfied with Dr. Kafali & her ultrasound technician.

I unfortunately had a terrible experience & was made to feel extremely uncomfortable when I went for my appointment here.However, I have since found a new & incredible doctor who has already completed my surgical procedure. I fully recovered almost immediately & am so grateful I was referred elsewhere.

I paid for the plastic surgery 7500 $ in full and I did not get the expected result. I had to redo it again and still was not satisfied with the final result. I told this to dr. Kafali and she said the current result is better than it was originally and she was ok fix it again for additional 900 $. Of course I refused to pay more for the same surgery I already paid for and would not recommend this place to anyone who do not want to waste 7,5K and then look for another doctor to fix her work. Separately I would like to mention about horrible experience with appointments. I visited this place for more than 6 times and never had that service strictly on time. I could wait more than 1 h or get appointment canceled evening before. I was explaining them that they can not play with my time like this, because I also have work and have to manage my time as any other busy person, but women at the front desk and doctor assistant always have a lot of excuses I tired to listen for all that time. I really regret that I chose this place and would like everyone knows this before to come and trust them health and huge money.

I had my 2nd appointment with Dr. Kafali this week and couldn’t love her energy more. Let’s be honest ladies, appointments to have the lady bits checked are usually terrifying and uncomfortable, but Dr. Kafalis calming demeanor made my nerves disappear. She was very knowledgeable and it translated in her detailed explanation prior to the procedure as well as during the procedure. I 100% would recommend her!

I recently had a procedure done with Dr. Kafali. I really enjoyed her energy from the first visit/consult I had with her. I booked an appt that day and I was getting my procedure done a week later. There was a medical assistant training the day of my procedure, which I was totally okay with, and I felt everyone in the room did a great job of making me feel comfortable. There was also peaceful music, too.This is post 2 months now, and every week I am more surprised/satisfied with the results. I wish I would of done this sooner. She keeps detailed notes on her patients (I’m pretty sure) and I think that’s what makes her so personable. I would for sure recommend her. I’ll forever remember her and the great job she did.

I was referred by my doctor to Sue Kafali and at my first appointment she made me feel like somebody actually cares about what I’m going thru. Great doctor and staff, I always leave her office with a smile on my face and she has amazing ladies working at the front desk.

One of my good friend goes to Dr Burcu Kafali. I wanted to go and visit her myself for my annual check up. All I can say is: why I havent met her earlier?😏. She changed the whole perspective of doctors in my mind that I had for years:) she is the most caring and sweet yet professional doctor I have met. She listens and explains everything without making you feel anxious or uncomfortable. Personnel in her office are also very friendly and sweet. She has a great sense of humor and at one point you feel like, you are visiting a friend. My anxiety didnt even kick 🤭 and i felt very good in her hands. They say she is the female version of Dr. Oz. I think she is very unique and every woman should treat herself with appointment with Dr. Sue!

I would highly recommend Dr. Kafali. She is such a kind and gentle person. I felt very confident and secure in her care.

I can’t say that Dr. Kafali is a bad doctor, but coming on time for your appointment and waiting for 1 hour to be seen for 5 min it is too much. Every time I went there (about 4 times) my meeting with a doctor was not longer than that and waiting time was horrific I even went out of the room to ask if they forgot about me. She seemed rushed and I even haven’t got time to ask all of my question, since I told her on my second visit that I’ll be moving out of Chicago soon she lost any interest in me as a patient. Than refused to print me out an ultrasound picture... I guess not a big deal but what was the problem? She couldn’t calculate my due date correctly, the measurement of the first and only ultrasound picture that she did was incorrect and that is why the due date she told was a week later than it actually is (tHis is what I was told in two other clinics).Secondly, nurses and staff in general are extremely RUDE. Very unpleasant experience. Just read the comments how they answer the negative reviews, not apologizing but blaming entirely on the patients. I swear USPS workers are nicer than them. If you can, avoid the clinic, find a place with better attitude, they just don’t care.

I got an appointment with Dr perry and waited around 2 weeks just for them to tell me that they dont take my insurance. Why not tell this to me while giving me the appointment when the first thing we talked about over the phone was my insurance. But she just denied that we even talked about it. You say you record calls why not go check it. My case was time sensitive and I even mentioned that on the phone.This is just not worth the stress and the time for your pregnant self. They just dont even know how to schedule an appointment.

I have been a paitent with Dr. Kafali many years and she is one of the most caring doctors I have come across. She takes her times with you and listens to all of your concerns like a family member. Im blessed to have her for a doctor! She is a very knowledgeable and, eager to listen and not rush you out. She is a great doctor and human being, very down to earth and easy to talk. I wish all doctors were like her. Her positive energy and smiling face brings radiance into her office and for her patients.

I feel like there should be a lot more one star reviews but I’m assuming these people just don’t come back. I went to here for my first visit. I asked them for paperwork and they told me just to sit (very rudely). I then proceeded to ask them 20 minutes past my appointment for the paperwork and then they finally gave it to me. I then asked for an update 45 minutes after my appointment and they said I checked in 10 minutes ago even though I signed in with the time. There was another lady waiting 1.5 hours and the front desk said no you got here 30 minutes ago?! They also hang up on you on the phone when you are waiting too long? It’s not worth the stress when there are this many gynos in the city. Trust me, this place should have a whole bunch of one star reviews as I’ve seen people outraged and a rude, unorganized front desk that seems to give so much attitude. This place is just not worth the headache. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

She is very energetic and cares for your care. I am happy with her as my doctor. Front desk has excellent customer service!

The receptionist was absolutely unprofessional didn’t ask for any information but booked an appointment when I got there they were willing to charge me cash but not willing to look up my insurance or help in anyway. Then once I was looking for my insurance The receptionist told me that I had to reschedule after I had drove 45 minutes to get there! This was the most unprofessional office I’ve ever been to. The worst part about it is that a patient sitting next to me said that she went through the same thing. What a way to treat your patients. I’ll never go back again

Dr Sue Burcu Kafali is such an excellent doctor Ive ever met. First of all very warm, friendly and comforting. That is very important and very hard to find these days. She listens to you very carefully, she doesnt give you unnecessary anxiety yet, very detailed oriented. She neves rush her patients and makes sure that you are well taken care of. Also, her office staff are very friendly and they have such a happy environment. For people like me who has a doctor fear, a perfect place to go cause you feel very comfortable and in great hands. Dr Kafali is impecable doctor and a person. If you go to her, you wont regret it and will feel really good in her hands. 👌

7 weeks ago I had surgery performed by Sue. I have never been so disappointed. If it could go wrong- it went wrong. From the long wait times, to the unprofessional staff, to waiting WEEKS for MY medical records because I need a revision(her office sent them to a completely different practice than requested hence violating my Hipaa rights) it was not worth it. Save your money or see a plastic surgeon. It’s very clear that her specialty is being an OB, not surgeon. I 100% regret seeing Sue and her practice. I want a refund7 months post op update- could not be more unhappy. My prebody was better than whatever Sue did. Please, if you’re reading this, just find a better doctor.

I am so glad Dr. Kafali was able to see me for a last minute appointment today. She was quick but thorough and listened to all of my concerns. I am very satisfied with the service I received today, and will be returning for future appts.

I am a teenager and I have very bad Endometriosis. First I believed that everyone feels as bad as I do during my periods, until I realized it wasnt normal. He knows how nervous I get and told me I am referring you to the best!My wife goes to her.When I met Dr.Kavali I loved her!She is the best!I am having surgery this Monday and Im at ease because of Dr.Kavali. Dr. Kafali’s practice has been superior in every way compared to my previous OBGYN. She gives thorough but concise and caring responses to all of my questions and I never feel uncomfortable asking anything. Her paps and my IUD insertion are always quick and she always does a good job at keeping a conversation going to distract.

Worst experience oh my life!!!! Really hoped for a magical visit, like everyone saying how amazing she is and wonderful Dr. Sue kafali is... went for my yearly and it was all about my weight loss which I didn’t even wanna talk about!!! Let me mention how she would of refused seeing me if I don’t get on the scale.. which I had no choice but to get on or I would of drove 1 hour and 30 mins for nothing and waited 45 mins to be see..This was my second time trying to give her a chance to help me but, I just don’t think it’s right for everyone but totally, Not professional at all and not the image I was picturing sad to say last time I will be going!!!

Dr. Kafali has been my OB-GYN for the last seven years and I am planning to keep her as long as I live in Chicago. Shes very diligent in every practice she offers. In addition to my regular check ups and treatments, she also delivered my daughter. Shes a caring and highly dependable doctor. I had an excellent pregnancy and birth experience, thanks to her guidance and extensive knowledge. She came to the hospital to see me soon after I checked in for labor and was there all night and made the timely and right call for c-section when my infection put me and my baby in danger. I think she only had a few hours rest that night after she completed a flawless c-section as she came to see me three hours later to make sure all is well. Her passion for ecstatic and cosmetic gynecology became very obvious to me as she used a stitch technique thats used for plastic surgery, which left hardly any scar on the incision area. I had some other complications later on and she was very timely and diligent tackling those as well. I definitely recommend Dr. Kafali as she truly cares about womens health and its her everyday passion to make women feel empowered and healthy.

Dr Kafali has been my doctor for 6 years. I cannot imagine going to somebody else. She is very knowledgeable and very professional. Her staff is nice as well.She is a doctor to go to and when it comes to care when you are pregnant and after you have your child.

I have been seeing Dr. Kafali for several years now. She is always kind, but also not shy to tell me things I may not want to hear. She has guided me thru 3 pregnancies and I’m happy to have 3 great, healthy kids. She has also been wonderful from the healthcare side for me (aside from pregnancy) by letting me know all the appropriate steps I should be taking as I get older. I highly recommend her

Im so thankful I found Dr Kafali. She is incredibly professional, an expert in her field, and provided me clear options for my treatment. I felt safe and in good hands with her. I was confident that she would take the best care of me in surgery, and I was right. Dr Kafali is the best of the best.

Every year my waiting time for Dr Kafali to come into the room seems to get longer. Last year I waited 35 minutes. Today I waited 55 min. Finally, I got dressed and walked to the front desk where I waited another 5 min. This is inexcusable and unacceptable. No one even came to check on me or tell me dr kafali will be a few more minutes. She took care of patients whose appointments were after mine while I sat there thinking I am next for an hour. No doctor is worth that even if you like her as a physician. It is poor bedside manner not to keep a patient updated.

I give this establishment 1 star because Dr Sue Kafali is so kind. Unfortunately, her staff is the exact opposite. I had to change my doctor at the last minute (34+ weeks pregnant) due to the lack of honesty, transparency, and professionalism from her staff - especially Linda who I’ve found to be very fond of lying. She claimed I owed a certain amount but refused to send me an invoice (until this morning when I demanded it; which btw wasn’t detailed). She claimed she couldn’t draft it, only the office manager, who seems to always be absent, could. She, Linda, took it a step further and canceled my appointment (9/25) because of this. When I made it the initial appointment, I was in a considerable amount of pain (hence the reason I made the appointment). Linda told me that I would have to come in and make the entire payment and I told her no I wouldn’t be making the payment today but I planned to do a payment plan shortly thereafter. Please keep in mind when I spoke to the receptionist fromThe day before, she made it clear that it was okay for me to come by and she got the “ok” from the office manager. Linda said she had to cancel the appointment... keep in mind I was in pain. 30 mins or so later, she called back and said “oh, are you still in pain?” AFTER she cancelled the appointment. When I told her to send me exactly what she just said in writing, she said she would need to run it by the office manager as she doesn’t deal with “paperwork”... whatever that means. This is just one of many unfortunate incidents that happened at Sue’s office but this was the final straw. I would’ve continued my service with the doctor, truly but her staff just made it impossible. I recommend any expecting mothers to stay clear of this place UNTIL they revamp their staff (even the nurse). It’s unnecessary stress you and your baby don’t need to deal with. Your experience might be different from mine but this is what happened to me and several other mothers I’ve spoken to... all which have switched.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kafalis for 6+ years and would highly recommend her. She is super knowledgable and friendly and I am always comfortable during my exams. I never feel rushed even though she is usually very busy. Her staff is also wonderful, I actually look forward to my appointments!

The greatest miracle of all is bringing life into the world. Dr. Kafali has a calling for doing so, not only shes beautiful, but very knowledgeable and professional. She was so supportive with my birthing plan, making my experience a positive one. Her office staff is exceptional, very accommodating with my visits scheduling. I definitely recommend Dr. Kafali shes very loving and kind with a focus on patient centered care.

This is my Third or fourth visit within a two month span. I am currently waiting for my 10:30 appointment. I have waited half an hour today and when checked on status told another twenty mins. Well that is to just go into a room. Lets see how long I will have to wait for anyone to walk in.. I have never been seen on time previously. I have experienced waiting for up to 30 mins or longer each time. This is incredibly uncomfortable. Although the staff is pleasent and Dr. Kafali herself does have a good personality, I will not be returning after today. I value my time. This is not acceptable. Ps. Im only here today to discuss results. Why am I waiting 40 minutes past my scheduled time for a brief discussion?*******Hey just an update!After my honest review I recieved a letter in the mail that Dr. Kafali was dropping me as a patient. I have no feelings about this. As I stated previously due to the unprofessionalism and uncomfortablity I did not plan on going back. Be aware to cancel future appointments should you plan on not coming back as I have recieved confirmation calls for appointments I had made in advance. Im only sharing this because I know there is a no show fee. If I didnt get that reminder call Im sure they would have remembered to charge me! Thankfully I canceled but dont want anyone to be in a bad position!

Today I went for my visit with Dr. Kafali. My appointment was at 4 and I didn’t see her until 5. I had received a call earlier that day from a nurse Maritza asking if I had done a certain test and if I had gotten it somewhere else. When I got to the office, I explained this voicemail I received to Jess who was the front desk person. She said they were not open at 8:30So she doesn’t know why I got that voicemail. I then played it to her and she looked back to nurse Maritza. Apparently she had not noted on the call log that I had been called nor that she left a voicemail. I then explained to Jess that I didn’t know what test she was talking about and that this was not the first time that they’ve requested information about a test directly from me. I explained that I didn’t understand why they would need this information from me if they have been my sole obgyn for my last 6 months of my pregnancy. Jess couldnt find the request for the test in my log/chart. I didn’t understand why I was being asked for this test if it wasn’t even something that was logged. Then I waited an hour for nurse Maritza to triage me. She takes my weight and blood pressure and continues to listen to her Salsa music on youtube while completing whatever chart she had pulled up for me. Aftwr 3 minutes of not saying anything to me, I ask if she needs anything else. She says, “no you can go to the room now”. Then the doctor comes in and asks me how I am doing. When I try to explain to her that there has been a lot of miscommunication she tells me that I should have come in earlier for an appointment. When I tell her that there weren’t any available times for me she tells me that “perhaps I should look for a doctor that has availability on the weekends”. What is someone’s reaction to this? I told her okay doctor, alright, I will do that. So I left. I am completely disappointed in the level of care that I have experienced with Dr Kafali and her staff. My experience is completely an unacceptable standard of practice. I hope her other patients have more positive experiences because no one should be talked to this way or treated in this manner. I am entering my third trimester and the doctor wants to tell me to look for someone else. As I was leaving she said “this isn’t normal” (referring to me walking out). You’re right doctor, this isn’t normal, the way you treated me today is not normal. Imagine someone talking to your daughter this way or anyone else that’s in your family. Please, do better.

Dr. Kafali is an exceptional physician in whom I have complete confidence. I have a tendency to read up on health issues before I come in, and she always knows of the studies I mention. She gives her educated opinion—always presenting both sides—and in terms I can understand. It’s clear she keeps current on the medical literature. In addition, she truly cares. She is sensitive to her patients’ physical and emotional concerns. On more than one occasion she has asked me how I am emotionally when she sees I look stressed or depressed. She never rushes. Her staff is friendly and efficient too. I always feel better leaving Dr. Kafali’s office!

Doctor Kafali is the best and the most efficient doctor I know who sincerely cares about her patients. She takes her time to talk to you, answers all questions and concerns you have and never rushes you. Very honest and upfront doctor who has a lot of knowledge. Her stuff is a very nice and friendly as well. I highly recommend Dr. Kafali to everyone!!!

Like her as a doctor, however every appointment I have had has been cancelled, reschedule at the last minute or I’ve had to wait an hour or longer to be seen.Not worth the headache and scheduling problems.

Dr kafali is awesome .I met her first time and she made me very comfortable .. I was little nervous before but after meeting with Dr kafali i would say i am in good hands.She is professional and knowledgeable and takes care of her patients very well.

I had my first appoitment with Dr. Kafali and I just loved. I am from another country and moved to US recently. I had to change my ObGyn for this reason and I was so worry to have a meeting with a new doctor because you never know if they will treat with respect and compassion. Dr Kafali made me feel so confortable in her office that I did not miss my doctor from years ago. She is kind, patient and professional. She answered all my doubts in a way I understood perfectly. I am so happy my friend told me about her, I could have not find a better ObGyn than her. I absolutely recommend Dr Kafali. She is much more than 5 stars.

I have gone to a couple of appointments with Dr. Kafali and I have received nothing but wonderful service from both the staff as well as Dr. Kafali. She is a great teacher as well as listener. I had 2 procedures done which made me a little nerves and Dr. Kafali made me feel comfortable by walking me through the processes step by step. Dr. Kafali is awesome.

I have nothing but great reviews for Dr. Kafali and her staff. Since I began receiving prenatal care at this office, the office staff has been more than patient and kind in working with me. There were a few minor mishaps regarding some referrals that I needed for services, and Salina and the office manager worked tirelessly to ensure that I received the test needed by the due date. Towards the end of my pregnancy I felt like the ladies in the office became my buddies, and I looked forward to going there weekly to get my non-stress tests and weekly check-ups. Furthermore, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed working with Dr. Kafali. She is very relatable, kind, professional, compassionate, and friendly. I would highly recommend any family that is expecting to this office. You will be treated with respect, kindness and will be happy to know that Dr. Kafali does her very best to ensure she is at every delivery. Thank you ladies for all youve done and making the time that I received care from this practice one that I can speak positively about.
