Dr Tate recently put a shunt in my head several weeks ago withno significant side effects..I am totally pleased. He did a great job.He is a wonderful Neurosurgeon who answered all my questions and did my surgery with sensitivity and care.. He made me into a new person. I would recommend anyone to Dr. Tate who has brain cancer and needs a possible surgery when other hospitals seem to fail you. My dad has recently been diagnosed with the most aggressive and deadliest brain cancer called Glioblastoma Grade 4. The neurosurgeon and doctors at Mayo Clinic in Rochester wouldnt do surgery on my dad because his cancer was the Wild Type and would paralyze him. I brought my dad to see Dr. Tate at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and he removed 90% of of my dads tumor mass which ended up prolonging his life. Also, not only his surgery was successful, his speech wasnt affected and his right side has begin to improve which we thought would never be possible. We are very grateful to Dr. Tate and his team!
