A wonderful place to live. Very professional staff and a plethora of health care and services. 100% better than the Salvation Army. Staff are sincere and have a pleasant attitude. I would recommend this to anyone.

My name is Darryl Cardine Jr. I am staying in the 21 day Casa program through Medicaid Illinicare health insurance. I have to write my review because some of the things that I have witnessed here is horrific. Firstly, I will say that I have absolutely no respect for this place. They are holding the Casa clients in there CSU disciplinary unit, a unit where they send their clients with disciplinary problems. Generally the clients in general population that act out. There is absolutely nothing to do in this unit but watch and use you imagination. The one star is because you are allowed to keep your phone and have occasional smoke breaks and I do mean OCCASIONAL. The staff in this unit besides two staff members Donavan and Lanetta, are lazy and it’s like pulling teeth to get a smoke break or do any activities. Donavan and Lanetta are great when it comes to keeping the clients engaged in the program and having an appropriate amount of smoke breaks. The rest stay in their phones playing games or social media or whatever they do UNLESS the boss(Cassandra) is around. I also have witnessed several nurses(not Ms. Lauren(she’s gold)) yell at clients who are not as high functioning as others. I have witnessed security guards put their hands on the less high functioning clients because they didn’t follow their command. I am staying here just to bide my time until I move to the next phase of my recovery program but this is a place I would not recommend to anyone or will not be returning to. It’s horrible here. This is the truth from my perspective. I hope someone reads this and thinks twice before placing a loved one in here or coming themselves.

Worked on a private ambulance, Had to bring a patient back there from the hospital. Place is dark and cold looking, Fire sprinkler system is old outdated and looks like it would malfunction. Staff there rude, Food there looked very unappetizing and stale !!!!!
