Dr. Ring is the absolute best. I have never met a doctor who spends so much time with her patients, getting to know them and asking questions to determine the best way forward, with an integrated medicine approach to treatment. Since starting seeing her in 2013, I feel like a new person. The only downside is that because she is SO GOOD, there can be a wait to get in to see her. She is worth the wait! Dr. Ring provided the most thorough interview and medical evaluation I think I have ever had! It was a one-hour consult. How often do you get that amount of time with a doctor? In addition, she ordered a considerable amount of lab work. I should mention that I am almost 74 and have several medical issues: osteoporosis, high blood pressure, possible COPD, osteoarthritis, and both a mother and grandmother who suffered from hypothyroidism. Recently, I also found out that I am pre-diabetic. Although I have seen some very good doctors both at Northwestern Medicine and in Massachusetts, where I lived for nearly all of my life before moving to Chicago two years ago, I had never seen an Integrative Medicine doctor before, though I did know something about the field. Years ago I subscribed to Dr. Andrew Weils newsletter. Dr. Weil played a very important role in establishing the field of Integrative Medicine which combines alternative and conventional, evidence-based medicine with biological, psychological, sociological, and spiritual practices.When I saw the blood test results online and Dr. Rings detailed explanation and comments, I was even more impressed and happy to get such thorough information and attention to my health issues. I responded with a fairly detailed note back to Dr. Ring, with some questions, and within a day she wrote back with additional information! Beyond Dr. Rings medical and other knowledge, thoroughness, and attention to detail, I found her to be very warm and compassionate.I am more than impressed!

Dr. Ring takes the time to listen to you, and diagnose the actual problem, rather than treat the symptom. Im working on a proposed solution at the moment.
