After 6 laser tattoo removal treatments from reset, I see NO changes at all, I had taken a before and after photo of every treatment for my own reference and there is not even a slight bit of lightening. I went in for my 7th treatment and came out with a severe burn and now what seems to be a SCAR on my still visible tattoo! I have a 8 treatment plan and asked if they could refund the last treatment and call it a end. Got no response and they just decided to ignore me for 4 months. Leave me no choice but to advise everyone DO NOT COME HERE they are irresponsible and will refuse to communicate with their clients. It’s basically a SCAM. DON’T RUIN YOUR SKIN.

My first experience with Dana at Reset MedSpa was great! I got the Diamond Glow facial. Dana was very professional and I loved that she answered allll my skincare questions. She was super thorough and knowledgeable. But the best thing is that my treatment wasn’t one and done: she helped me see what next steps I need to take to get my skin all the way together. This review is for the Botox injector. Horrible horrible. She actually created a new line on my face and I have major droopy eyelid. And when I called to ask for a fix, and did not want the same woman touching my face, I was told too bad. Nothing we can do. DO NOT GO HERE FOR BOTOX.

I went in for a facial treatment with Dana. She was really helpful in guiding me to the right treatment for my skin and based on my desired outcomes. I entered into a purchase agreement (for 6 laser tattoo removal sessions) with Reset MedSpa on 3/18/2017 with Dr.Bloom. The purchase agreement clearly states “if additional treatments are needed these are provided free of additional charge”. Unfortunately it’s been four years and I’ve had 17 laser treatments and the tattoo is still visible. On 3/13/21, the new owner Richard Grant handed me a letter explaining Reset Med Spa would no longer honor the guarantee I was provided provided by Dr. Bloom on 3/18/2017. This is concerning and I consider this a breach of contract. In writing I asked that Reset MedSpa honor my purchase agreement and stand behind the guarantee. To date there has been no response. I was told by tech Robyn T. that several other clients are having the same issue as mine so she reached out to Candela (the seller of the Picoway machine). She stated Candela oversold what their product could deliver. I have also asked for a copy of my before and after photos and treatment summaries and there has been no response from Reset MedSpa.

I was recommended to check this spa out from a friend experiencing similar issues with hormonal acne. I am so so happy I did!!! She recommended Dana, who in just two sessions has already made a huge difference in my skin. She is very cautious with your skin and delicate. I have been to many different esthetician’s and she is really amazing at what she does!! Thank you Dana keep being awesome!

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Dana!! I was experiencing awful hormonal adult acne when I got off of birth control, and Dana has been incredible. Truly saved my skin and has gotten it completely under control. She is so profesional and never pushes products like so many other esthetician’s have in the past. I came in the day before Thanksgiving for a chemical peel. On Thanksgiving Day I looked like a brand new person. My skin has that glow! It’s time for a modeling gig. I shall return!

Dana the aesthetician is very sweet. She has great bed side manner and is a wonderful conversationalist during treatments. I had one hydrafacial with her and my skin felt great after. However, I primarily went to Reset MedSpa for laser hair removal - and while their prices may be competitive for the Chicago area, the efficacy of their laser is lacking. If you do a deeper dive into Reset’s reviews, other customers also claim they had little to no results with either tattoo removal or laser hair removal. I completed 4 under arm hair removal treatments at Reset and 3 bikini area treatments, and while I did see a reduction of hair, I felt as if my skin/hair should have had much more of a response as I am fair skinned with dark hair follicles. I moved two months ago and found a new MedSpa - and then soon realized that Reset does not use the correct “standard of care” laser for laser hair removal. The MedSpa I switched to in Arizona uses a yag-Alex laser for hair removal, and I have seen immediate results. I was told at Reset the laser being used was the Alma Harmony - and it appears that this laser is strictly an IPL laser which is less efficacious for laser hair removal. While the prices are competitive again for Chicagoland, you may require more treatments as it takes longer for IPL devices to work for laser hair removal. Unfortunately I would not recommend laser hair removal with Reset. If they refute this review and say it is indeed a standard of care laser, fine, either way, the settings used on me did not work. Make sure you do your research on a MedSpa’s lasers prior to committing to a treatment plan.

If your someone who feels like giving up because you think there is no hope for your skin needs, please I urge you to give Dana @Reset Medspa a call first. My troubles started first after doing laser treatment for hair removal. I soon after started hyperpigmenting at which point I started electrolysis. That was a mistake for my sensitive skin, it caused the dark spots to get worst along with acne scarring. No one likes having uncomfortable marks on their . I done my first chemical peel and I can already see a significant difference. Dana takes the time to help you achieve your skin goals. Am completely happy with my experience thus far.

When you set an appointment and first walk in you are greeted by a jewel Zachary. Zachary is fun, energetic and so sweet. I’ve been twice and my first time there I was Kelcy B who did my Botox and did an amazing job making feel safe and comfortable. Dana did my dermal infusion and her touch is to relaxing and calming. I could have fallen asleep but our conversation and laughter made it hard to doze off. I’ll be moving from the city soon but I will always make this my beauty home.

I recently relocated to Chicago from Orange County, CA and was in desperate need of a beauty medspa. I found Reset on Yelp after reading so many positive reviews. Ive been there three times now.I went to Kelcey for Botox - This was my first time receiving Botox. Ive only had Dysport injected in the past. Kelcey was very informative about the differences of both injections, sweet and professional.I received cheek and under eye filler from Dr. Bloom and Im so happy with the results! He was very personable, professional and patient. I look so much more refreshed and so glad I went to him.I recently went to Dana for a dermalinfusion. My face felt so amazing for days after. I cant wait to book more facials with her. Dana is so sweet and didnt try to oversell me on unnecessary treatments. She was pretty straight up on her recommendations. Im looking forward to going in and having her do some microneeding for me.

I went to reset for PRP scalp treatment and have noticed an increase in my hair thickness since! Clare and Kelsey are great, Clare did an excellent job explaining to me the benefits and expectations of the treatment. The spa is conveniently located on congress pkwy and the facility is modern and welcoming.

They will not even ball park prices for standard med spa services over the phone, which is very shady business. I have had too many bad experiences going in for a free consultation only to be pressured into same day services that cost too much. They need to at least offer a price range over the phone for standard services and treatments.

I visited Reset MedSpa in early September and am very pleased with the results. The staff was professional and knowledgeable. I will go back as I see fit and highly recommend their services.

Generic facial, not customized to your skin and overpriced. Microneedling on my hands took 10 mins (for two very prominent scars) and still fought me on th coupon I was given from my surgeon and it still cost $120 to see zero improvement. I was told afterwards I would need 5-8 treatments each at $250 full price...yeah, pass. Id rather have the surgery, one and done. Mediocre experience at best. Medical spas are just an excuse to overcharge. Nancy @ Soho Salon in West Loop has been my go to! She is amazing!!

I have the worst experience here, i did the Brazilian laser here four times so far, the hair still came back like crazy, some parts is missed, Im Asian, not that much hair too,i truly believe that the technician not as care as take care Asain cousterm, specialy when I was try to make my apptioment to see her today ,I called,told that i am on my way will be late,but i already outside the spa, 30mins late ,they cancel me ,wont let me in the spa and they charged me $100 for cancel the appotiment(one of my sevrice), no call and no show, wihich that i called and i show up.if you dont speak good english they will look down on you and poorcustemservice.Thats the worst spa experience i ever have. Also very upset that they take peoples money like this way, how they can sleep at night . 😒😒😒

Awesome place! I came to Reset for tattoo removal. Ive wanted my tattoo off for some time now, and I finally decided it was time to take the plunge. I did some research and decided the new PicoWay laser was my best option. Reset was the only place in Chicago that had this laser, so I called and made an appointment. Super easy to get there, its a block from the Harold Washington Library (State and Van Buren) L stop. The place is very modern and clean. The staff was great, very friendly and knowledgeable. Ive heard tattoo removal is more painful than the actual tattoo itself - so pretty nervous for the procedure! Fortunately they numbed the area and it was actually pretty painless. Ive only had one treatment, my next one is scheduled for next month, but the tattoo has faded A LOT! If you research the PicoWay laser youll see how effective this thing is! Id definitely recommend this place. Theyre a complete MedSpa, so they have tons of other services too.
