Dr Albert is fine but his office staff is SO bad that I couldn’t not leave a review.Incredibly rude, disorganized, and SO difficult to get a hold of. First of all, if you call the office you are obligated to leave a message w a third party answering service rather than the office staff themselves. In theory, the office staff is to call you back- this did not happen, my messages were ignored three times. Secondly, I urgently needed access to my lab results- 1) they made me wait over 2 weeks to send me my own lab results and then proceeded to send me the doctors notes instead of the lab results that I’d been clearly asking for (via email, so all written) for weeks 2) they never sent the lab results I needed them to send to my other doctor 3) when I finally asked again for my lab results, they rudely told me I could access these through an app after telling me for two weeks I could only get these sent to another doctors or I had to pay?? I was NEVER told about an app prior.I am absolutely EXASPERATED and do NOT recommend. If you have any kind of urgency or if you need your own test results, go elsewhere.

Dr. Albert is amazing!!! I found him on referral and am so happy I did. He is extremely thorough, compassionate, and has excellent bedside manner. He always double checks to ensure he is providing the most up to date information. As a health provider myself, there is nothing I appreciate more than a provider that takes the extra time to follow up on a question asked. I know that any suggestion he makes is with my best interest in mind. I cannot recommend him enough. Thank you Dr. Albert!

I did a 4 weeks of GI rotation under Dr. Alberts care and it was an educating experience. His interaction with his patients is undoubtedly professional and his patients are comfortably able to discuss their concerns with him, which he addresses with patience and conscientiousness. He disapproves the practice of unnecessary procedures for economic gains and ensures that his patients understand the logic behind the need of each diagnostic procedure and the treatment plan that follows. He is considerate enough to create a treatment plan which meets the patient’s needs and as well as, is approved by their respective medical insurances. Dr. Albert is also a great mentor, he was kind enough to teach me about different GI pathologies and update me on the latest guidelines to prevent and them. He is a genuine human being who cares for everyone around him and is invested in his community, as well. He is my first choice as a GI specialist, any time, any day.

Have been in Dr Alberts telehealth clinic a couple of times. Dr Albert and his team are very knowledgeable. They pay attention to details to make sure they havent missed anything. Dr Albert seems to have a packed schedule at times, but hes able to pin-point the problem and he really feels and cares about your concerns. He respects people from all backgrounds and is really professional, which is so important in these difficult times.

I had an unfortunate accident a few nights ago and landed myself in the ER, where Dr. Albert’s services were required. Dr. Albert was extremely courteous and honest and he had a comforting bedside manner. The procedure was as fast and painless as advertised and I felt that I was in good hands before, during, and after it. He even followed up with me the next day to make sure all was well. Highly recommend Dr. Albert.

I had a great experience with Dr. Albert! He was originally recommended by my PCP who had amazing reviews for him, and I now understand why. He is highly knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. He takes his time to explain complex medical information in simple terms, and truly listens to his patients. He has fantastic bedside manner, and helped put me at ease before and after the procedure. His staff is welcoming and very responsive. I had communicated with the staff several times, and would always receive a response the same day. The wait times were also short. The office is easily accessed with parking on the street or at an adjacent lot for a discounted price. Five stars without a doubt!

Dr. Albert is an exceptional doctor who emphasizes prevention and communicates directly and clearly about your health status. I have been seen him for several years now for three procedures and continually impressed with his knowledge, kind bedside manner, and by his commitment to patient care. I wish more physicians were as conscientious as Dr. Albert and feel quite fortunate to be in his care.

Dr Albert’s office is TERRIBLE when it’s referring to making an appointment or receiving a return phone call. I called at almost any point of the day at their business hours and have yet to have a first time call be answered by his staff. I always have to call multiple time to receive an answer. This has occurred numerous days. Most recently, I am getting a procedure done in which I had a very important question regarding whether I was able to eat/drink something the day before the procedure. I called on a Monday when the procedure was scheduled for a Friday. There was no answer of course and the call was during business hours. I left a detailed voicemail and a call back number and received to no phone call back until I had to call the day before the procedure. I called twice of course before anyone answered and was told by someone (not a doctor) that I could not drink anything the night before the procedure. I requested a reschedule of the procedure due a party I would attending the day before and they advised me since I did not call three days in advance they would charge me $150 fee for rescheduling. UNBELIEVABLE. I advised them I called almost 5 days prior. They looked up the voicemail and stated they received it and tried to give me a call back two hours later and claimed they left a voicemail!!! Which of course were all lies. I never received not a single call or voicemail on my phone. Of course Dr Albert or his assistant isn’t there on a Friday at 11am to speak about this concern. And this staff member claimed to be the acting manager. This staff is ridiculous and I am definitely recommending no one go here considering you can’t even get the proper treatment to begin with because the staff is terrible at answering calls.

As a dentist, I am very aware of the patient experience. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Albert. I was recently diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis under his care. I was devastated. The thought of taking meds long term worried me. He understood this and walked me through the process of how we could get to remission and next steps in my treatment. He was patient, he was thoughtful, and very knowledgeable. Most of all, he was kind. Truly grateful for him and his PA Libby.

Really fantastic and thorough doctor. I had a GI ulcer diagnosed at Presence ER and was sent home same-day without scope. I called Dr.Alberts office and got in quickly due to extremely low blood count. He prioritized my case, got my scoped ASAP, and followed up regularly. In addition, he spotted an abnormal growth and sought to fully investigate the cause. His diligence led to a discovery of a cancerous tumor on my stomach. I would have never received this level of care elsewhere!

In addition, his staff have been incredibly helpful, communicative and kind. Thank you Dr. Albert for being such a pro and doing your work with such care and heart.

I came here once. Gross office. I was suppose to have an appointment with Dr. Albert. When I got to the small dark room the only person who saw me was his PA. After just telling her I had diarrhea often and cough after eating she insisted I get a colonoscopy and endoscopy. When I went to get them done the surgical doctor to perform these operations was astonished I was there when no elimination diets or medicines were tried. They went through with the procedure. It cost me double than what was quoted at $2,000. Then, I called many times to the office to make an appointment but no one answers the phone. I decided to take my labs else where I found a doctor to read them and they stated I didn’t need to go through that procedure as nothing was found. He then put me on an elimination diet. This was complete fraud by this clinic and malpractice. I will be doing my due diligence to make sure this does not happen to another patient.

I had an absolutely horrible experience here. They do not have an active phone line so you can never speak to someone in person. You must email them to schedule appointments- which seems great in theory- but I sent over 3 emails to reschedule an appointment with no response. It then took over 2 weeks to receive my results back when they said it wouldTake 24-48 hours. I do not recommend this

Dr Albert is an extremely empathetic and competent doctor. Having worked under his guidance at Chicago Gastro, I personally saw him taking care of patients to the best of his abilities and making sure all their worries were alleviated. I completely trust his judgement and can count on him to take the best possible decision keeping his patients health and comfort in mind. Recently, I was in the Emergency room for abdominal pain. Though he wasnt on call, Dr. Albert came in over the weekend and sat with me while I underwent numerous tests. I was so grateful for his help and concern. It turned out to be my gallbladder which ultimately was removed. For years, no one know what these episodes of pain were about. He figured it out immediately and gave me such a sense of comfort. I am so grateful to him and his team.

My fiance Frank DiNozzi presented to Dr. Albert with a minor stomach ache that he hadnt felt in months. He had seen his primary care physician and after a battery of tests, they found nothing, so they sent him to Dr. Albert. Frank told his story to Dr. Albert, and was sent for a Catscan just to be sure. That diagnosis by Dr. Albert saved his life as the catscan showed a tumor on his pancreas. Thank God for Dr. Albert, as every doctor we have seen since has asked how we found it, as it usually is a silent killer(acinar cell Carcinoma). The tumor was removed a few weeks ago, and we just received the path report showing it has not invaded any glands, the removed spleen, or his stomach which it was attached to.... Thank you DR Albert!!!!!

I saw them about 5 years ago & had no problems! Because the Dr has lots of patients, he stays extremely busy, and you most likely will have to book a colonoscopy possibly as far as 4 or 5 months in advance! Theyre a little hard to catch on the phone! So I would say, if you really need to see a gastroenterologist promptly, hes probably not your best bet!! If its routine, then Dr Albert will work.

My experience at Chicago Gastro with Dr. Albert, his PA-C Libby and his office staff has been phenomenal. I cant say enough. I was referred to the practice by my primary care doc at age 42 to see if I could - or should - be screened due to family history of colon cancer. It was explained to me that I would meet with Libby first and I found her to be competent and bright - even funny. The whole staff is warm, I loved that. Its not the easiest thing to deal with, especially if its your first experience with a GI doc, so their kind and easy going manner was really great for me. Dr. Albert spoke with me before and after my procedure at the hospital and he was super kind, attentive and warm. He put me totally at ease and I felt very well taken care of. From start to finish this practice has been fantastic and I couldnt be more satisfied. Also, I found communication and scheduling pretty easy - when I sent emails they were promptly returned and theyd follow up with phone calls. I look forward to returning in 5 years for my next screening. I never expected to be thrilled with a colonoscopy (weird) but this was honestly great. Everyone get screened! And go to Chicago Gastro. Seriously.

Waste of time. Dr. Andrew Albert was not there the first time for my dads exam, a day taken off work wasted, even though they called him a day before to confirm his appointment. On the date of the reschedule Dr. Andrew Albert cancelled all appointments for hospital meetings. Although there was ONE voicemail warning us a month prior there were no further voicemails left as the assistant told us there were, (she said there were three)so now two days taken off of work wasted because neither Dr. Andrew Albert nor his assistant could be bothered to reach us, but theyre quick to charge you a $50 dollar fee if you dont show up.If youve ever taken a colonoscopy and know the process you have to go through the day before, and love it so much you want to do it three times then by all means go and see Dr. Andrew Albert!

I met with his assistant, she ordered a bunch of redundant tests I had just got done a week prior at my primary physician- they told me it was too hard to get the records from another doctor- and I ended up with a huge bill for all of these unnecessary pills. Moreover, all they did was prescribe an insanely expensive antibiotic that my primary doctor told me she doesnt prescribe because its too new and too expensive. (a pharma sales friend of mine told me doctors get a huge kick back for prescribing it). Finally, These people dont answer the phone, nor do I think the doctor works there. They want to do everything with their online portal and dont answer or return phone calls. So I am stuck right were I started with my health and have a huge bill for services I didnt need. Thanks Dr Albert. You suck.

Not a very nice experience. The doctor and the assistant did not make any efforts to talk to each other regarding the information that they received from the other hospital. The assistand said she did not received nothing and after I talked to the doctor he said he forgot to tell the assistant that actually he took the papers with the information . I said ok , maybe it is just a misunderstanding. The doctor gave me some pills for my acid reflux and he told me to call him back if it is any problem. I still had the acid and after 2 weeks I called back . The same assistant answered my phone she was very rood telling me that probably I have the reflux because of my hiatal hernia. I asked very kindly to tell the doctor about my problem and she said that she will and she hanged the phone very fast. I never received the call from the doctor.
