I used to love this facility....but now its more like a beauty shop....how is it that the appt was at 9:30a30a and we dont see a doc for over 2 hours? Limited seating during a pandemic. How wonderful.

I use to totally love this clinic been going here for over 20 years but unfortunately today will be my last…my son’s visit was a total waist of time after waiting over a month for an appointment and over 2 hours to see a pediatrician only to be told that they could not do my son school physical, dental surgery release and prescription refill all in one visit I would have to make 3 separate appointments wtf… the pediatrician was in the middle of a total meltdown staff was overworked and overwhelmed …this place is a total zoo parents/caregivers please don’t waist your time like I did a total disappointment 😭😭😭

I absolutely love this doctors office been here since I was 7 weeks pregnant and now my son is 9 months old my obgyn Alicia Key was the BEST!!!! & his pediatrician Colleen Is GREAT WITH MY SON I LOVE THEM ❤️

Ive been with these guys for yrs and have noticed that when I had an attitude, they had an attitude. If I was a jerk, they were jerks. Everyone here is human. They will treat you with kindness and respect if YOU show them the same. So dont be a jerk. Its not nice. Its actually very ugly. These guys work hard and long hours dealing with jerks so be kind. Drs are knowledgeable, kind, respectful... never a problem with referrals. And their facilities are always very clean. Thank you Friends health, yall are all doing great!!!

I love Dr. Kidder. She is amazing and polite. She listens to your concerns as a patient. She is encouraging to your goals, she’s just a kind person overall.

I was 3-5 min late for my appointment. They canceled my appointment after I told them I’m almost 6 months pregnant and haven’t had any maternity care and needed medication. They don’t care about anyone’s health and they are very unprofessional!

Not for sure what happen to this facility but its overcrowded no seats due to covid and customers service needs improving.

I’ve been calling all morning and no one has answered the phone. They canceled my appointment but won’t answer so I can make another one. It’s been times I’ve walked into the 55th and cottage grove location calling and they literally are sitting there ignoring the phone. I’ve had to tell them like is this what y’all do? One lady at the front desk literally sat there on her phone and then said I didn’t know it was ringing😑 they need to be taught to answer the phone in a timely manner it’s not fair that people have to wait for over 15 minutes to get serviced.

My son was at Friends and Family Health to get his First shot for the Covid19. The staff was so unorganized. There was a sign in for the patients but no Sign in for those coming into to get the shot. It was crazy. I hope when he goes for his Second shot for Covid19. I really hope they will have a sign in sheet and be better organized.

Unprofessional 30 weeks pregnant i feel rushed by the doctor every appointment ! Not only that the nurse took my blood pressure on the lower part of my arm( when i always thought it was the upper part! )The reading came out wrong!!! I told my doctor that the nurse did not take my blood pressure the right way and asked for retake she declined and quickly sent me to the e.r (the University) stating that i was high risk as soon as i got there the lady took my blood pressure the RIGHT way and it came out normal i spent 6 hours in the E.r and each 30 mins to a hour the blood pressure reading was NORMAL! I dont understand this clinic but its unorganized and unprofessional

Friend Health is horrible. I have been waiting to get a referral for my husband from Dr. Umar for 3 weeks. I have called every day with no follow up. Because of this issue my husband has been in the ER 3 times. I would NOT recommend this practice. Horrible.

Tried to register for Covid Vaccine. The sign on the door at 1160 west 79th street clearly indicated that vaccines AND testing were available. There was not a line or waiting and I still could not be served until I registered. The attendant gave me a number to call to register. I called the Friend Health registration center. The representative insisted that this location was NOT a site for Friend Health site .She said that if I wanted to register for a vaccine I would have to travel more than 10 miles away to the Cottage Grove location, register days in advance and complete a full registration as a patient with insurance information to be served. NO THANKS.Later, when I text the number and put in COVID, the Friend Health registration popped up. This kind of service is extremely frustrating for a community that urgently need the vaccine distributed.

Love this place, nice and clean and friendly and helpful staff. Ive been going here for over 15 years and they have always had quick and excellent service. The only thing I would say I dont like is that the doctors do change alot. You get use to a MD and then they are gone but I guess that happens in clinics, but the service stays consistent. I recommend them to everyone

Waited on hold 30 minutes just to finally speak with someone and she places me on hold again only to hang up on me. Whether by mistake or not, no one has even attempted to call back and now I have to call back and wait on hold again.

They dont care about your health or well-being. I called to reschedule an appointment that I missed previously. I was told by the young lady on the phone that I would receive a call back to reschedule. That was about 2 weeks ago. Im talking about the office on 55th.

Y’all need 0 stars I got blood drawn 2MONTHS ago and have yet to hear, or see my results. I’ve called multiple times over the passed 2MONTHS and even contacted administrative and they said they were gonna send a email out . STILLLL never heard back that was LAST MONTH. Are y’all good? Do y’all need help or What?

A lady named Alita called me and asked me alot of personal questions, including my birthday. Then she said the company would be putting $15 on my OTC card. I checked my card & nothing was there. I called the number back and was told they did not know who Alita was and I will be contacted by a manager. I gave these people the benefit of the doubt. They have always been a thorn in my side, always calling me for appointments and cancelling, giving bad information, and being rude. When will these people act right or leave me alone? If you want to help me, do that. If not, stop all the unnecessary drama. Thank you!

I have been going here for fifteen yrs. The receptionist area has three people with an attitude. I was ten minutes late & she says We going to reschedule. Im like really ten minutes Ive been there before and waited two hours to be seen. I ask to speak to a supervisor or administrator they said no ones in the building. Now today I ask the receptionist for a letter for school one lady said hold on the other said we dont do that. Since when. They always rescheduling me.

This is a bad clinic, they need change like different cultures people in there too work. Like mix people

I went to get a covid test with my partner and somehow they lost my results. Told me it would take longer to get results before they just concluded it was inconclusive... my partner got her results though (negative)... idk what theyre doing here. Wouldnt recommend a covid test from them though...

This is the worst place to go they don’t care about their patients with serious medical condition ran out of medication and can’t even get a refill because I have to schedule a appointment which I did multiple times they always call back to reschedule and never call or do anything they just need to close this place down seriously

I can not say enough about the Staff at this facility. I have had the best PCP Providers in the city of Chicago, at Friends and Family Health Center. My new PCP Provider is the best, very well educated in the field of medicine, cares deeply about his patients health and recovery, Dr. Umar is awesome!!! The Receptionist and Intake medical clerks are very very nice and respectable, the Referral Department, number 1# in their field they do a wonderful job taking care of your needs, the Lab techs are awesome they never cease to amaze me just when you your blood drawn you go in a bit unease and come out smiling they do a wonderful job as well and lastly the magical workers as I like to call them the NURSES are outstanding, great people who are there for you in any way possible!!!!Thanks for supporting me on my health journey to recovery Victoria Clark.

They are promoting false information for their Covid test results, on their flyers they say results in 1-2 days. Your better off getting a free test at Walgreens. I got tested Wednesday, today is Sunday...... still no results.

They never answer the phone during office hours. I am 38 weeks pregnant and haven’t heard from my doctor about my next appointment and I cannot get in touch with anyone. Its really frustrating.

Staff rude and unprofessional. Dont acknowledge you unless you speak first at the front entrance desk, then get an attitude when you call them out on their unprofessional behavior. All female staff at front desk most times with attitudes. Need more friendly staff, more genders AND races besides all the females that are there. This current staff need more training on how to provide GOOD customer service to patients.

I don’t understand WHY they have a “Strict Policy” about arriving to your appointments late when you STILL have to wait Beyond your “scheduled” appointment time ? I have twins whose appointments are always scheduled back to back. If I arrive late for the 1st twin to be seen they cancel that appointment but I Still have to wait Beyond the 2nd twin appointment time. My children were scheduled to be seen at 8:30 a.m. & 9:00 a.m. We arrived & signed in at 8:46 a.m. we weren’t called to be checked in until After 9 o’clock which at That time I was told my daughter whose appt. was at 8:30 had already been canceled(we arrived & signed in 1 minute past the 15 minutes they allow after your appt. time before they cancel your appt.)but ok I accept her cancellation because technically we Were late. They stated they could only see my son whose appt. was scheduled immediately after my daughter’s at 9. I’m thinking fine he should be getting called to the back almost immediately since they already had canceled the patient before him(his twin sister)....Nope 9:30 rolled around & there we Still sat, Waiting ! I spoke to 1 of the ladies from the front desk about the wait & explained to her our situation, she went & spoke to someone in the back came back up front & notified me my child would be called next. We waited 13 More minutes & decided to leave because my children were becoming later & later got school. My thing is if there’s a policy about time then it should work Both ways. It’s not fair to patients to have appointments canceled because of tardiness when if you have more than 1 child being seen you Still end up waiting an unreasonable amount of time to see the doctor. They Really need to do better concerning the checking in process & the wait to see the doctor !! They might as well make it an all walk-in clinic because their current system SUCKS !!

Every time I come here for a scheduled appointment I wait over 2 hours with no explanation as to why. I’ve had about 4 appointments for my daughter and this has been my experience every single time. They do not care about your time. The staff sits and laughs and no one cares that you have been sitting for hours waiting. This will be my last visit here, this is unacceptable!

Sick and Tired of this .....Appt. Time 8:45 am.....What Time Im actually seen...10am....arrived at 8:20 am because they require you to arrive 30 min. prior to appointment.

The staff is very unprofessional no communication at all they do not give u real wait times I have been here almost 3hours waiting for the doctor and the staff acts as if there is a problem asking why the wait is so long!!!! But if i was late than my appointment would be rescheduled..smh I will most definitely take the longer ride back to Pulaski where they treat you respectfully and everything is on point. This is why I do not like to support things in black communities!!

Probably the worst clinic I’ve ever step foot in and Ive been to some bad clinics . Management is unprofessional and clueless, it trickles down throughout the center. Patients are treated as 5th class citizens and Doctors show little to zero effort.

I love the care they take.

I was with my girlfriend and her daughter when we first walked in I noticed at the front desk someone was waiting and the staff acted if the young lady wasnt even there but in spite of that the service was really quick maybe the staff can use a little bit more training on how to treat people who are waiting for their service

Terrible customer service. Nurses with little knowledge with horrible medical advice. Long wait to be seen even with an appointment. Atleast an hour. Very quick dr.s They write a quick prescription and tell you to see them im in 2 months and just do it again. dont care about you. They just want a check.

Poor from a patient experience perspective. My doctor was nice but the experience as a whole was NOT good.

Frankly speaking, the clinic is horrible. The doctors Ive met with are pitiful and jaded. Ive been stereotyped, hung up on, argued with, and criticized on the multiple occasions Ive been forced to go there. All while just trying to get some assistance with my health issues, this is never a clinic I would recommend to anyone. Hell someone I knew personally was severely injured by one of the staffs gynecologist (which is some very delicate work, mind you). Fortunately, she survived, but she couldve very well bled to death. There is just honestly so much I could say about this place and none of it is good.

Great clean center for kids doctors are cool and staff if you know how to carry your self you should not feel judge or stereo type

I am pregnant. I have went here before since I was a kid as well. I never really liked it but my mom would bring me here. I dont know why I was never at the actual university. I thought it mightve been because of my age at the time. But now that Im having a baby I cant stand this clinic. They are horrible! I dont understand how they assiocate with the university of Chicago either! I began prental care here and unfortunately I have been through 3 dr. Dr Glispee, dr jones and dr reed. Dr jones was the ONLY DOCTOR TO ACTUALLY BE CONSIDERED A DR. the rest of them was like mid wifes or physicians as they would call it. But to be honest I dont like none of them! Im a first time mom! They are not informative , their not excited , they are strictly to the computer and asking you more questions about your living circumstances then being concerned about the the birth of your child! None of them has introduced there selves to me and actual have had a connection with the me as I would like! They nurses ARE SO SLOW! They talk more about what they gone eat for lunch then they do helping the customers. The nurses wasnt at all informative about the next step to my appointment or where to go. They was just telling me to go do stuff as if I already knew. They are so ghetto over there. And everyone could careless less about your actual health! They are just there to do there job and make money like usual! Its ridiculous. The only cool lady I know that is usually nice and very pleasant is the lady who does the blood work for the OBGYN department. I love her! Other than that I hate everything about them! They always so slow. My appointment was at 1120 the other day and i didnt leave the dr until almost 3 and I was only talking to the dr for 5 to 7 minutes! All the rest of that time was waiting!SO ILL BE AN OFFICIAL PATIENT OF THE ACTUAL UNIVERISTY OF CHICAGO MEDICINE THIS WEEK

I simply LOVE Dr. G!!!!.... All of my Drs for that matter but Dr. G really shows her empathy and compassion for her patients!!!!!

They are extremely unprofessional, I requested an appointment over the phone. The gentleman told me to just show up between noon and 5. I said I would like an appointment and he says ok your scheduled.I show up for my time and the front desk tells me I dont have an appointment and they have reached capacity!! Unbelievable!! What a joke!!
