I went in to get a full gel set. I was there for over 2 hours. I had two different people working on me. I wanted a design but halfway through changed my mind because I was getting impatient. I went with an all black set. One had has a blue tint the other is black but not a solid black. I couldn’t even count how many times my nails had to go under the light. The shape is all over the place. The tips are weak and bending backwards causing my nails to crack. It hasn’t been a week and my nails are already breaking. $65........

I have gotten two pedicures from Mary and have officially found my new nail salon. She is careful and takes her time to do a great job. The space is very calming and quiet, which is exactly what I want when I spoil myself with a pedicure.

I chose Spa Anjou based on a friend’s recommendation, location and cleanliness. The salon is very clean and the staff was pleasant and courteous. My nails however, and what was done about them is another story. I made an appointment for noon on a Friday for what I thought was a dip. When I got there she had me down for a no chip. I am not sure who made the mistake as the person I spoke to when I made the appointment was hard to understand. The owner asked to come back later and she reimbursed me for my parking. Very nice but inconvenient for my schedule.Anyway, my dip, plus I needed 3 extensions, took over 2 hours. But it looked very nice. By Saturday afternoon(next day), one dip nail had a big chip, another a tiny chip, and one cuticle was cut too close. I had asked for minimal cuticle work. I contacted Spa Anjou and we made an appointment for Monday afternoon for a repair. By Sunday afternoon, 3 additional nails were lifting, and 2 more big chips. We are now at 50% bad. I stopped at the salon Sunday, 30 minutes before closing. The owner wasn’t there and I spoke to another manicurist. I told her I had an appointment Monday afternoon. 4 times she told me to come back Monday morning! I repeated that I was not available in the AM. I just wanted to show her what they looked like.So I get there Monday at afternoon, show the owner my chipped and lifting nails. She offered to redo the nails, saying that they weren’t done right. Well, obviously. But at this point I didn’t want to use the salon again. I requested a refund (manicure only, not tip or parking btw), and the removal of the dip and extensions. She agreed to a refund or redo, but no removal. She said that the next place I went to get my nails done would do it. I wanted to give my nails a break and just wanted the bad manicure removed.I was shocked and disappointed that she was being so petty. She curtly dismissed me by saying she wasn’t going to argue with me. I also didn’t want to argue with her so I took the $60 refund and left. I googled how to remove a dip, went to Home Depot for acetone and did it myself. It was laborious and took me 3 days.As a business owner, what I would have done was to remove the dip, be gracious, apologize and say to please consider using us again in the future. I would have also offered some freebie as an incentive to return as I am still out my tip, my parking and my 2 hours! I understand that sometimes things don’t go right but now we have 2 wrongs.

Lida is who have to request. She’s the only one that does the best work in there she takes her time and my no chips last. Went to LO spa near by my nails chipped in 2 days. But again ask for Lida or don’t even come here and the callus treatment she does is amazing!!! After moving to the south loop from lakeview it was so hard to find a nail salon in this area where my nails dont chip after 3 days.

This may have been the absolute best pedicure I have had. My nail technician did her best to make every aspect of my treatment superb. I wanted the spa package going in and had difficulty getting that across to her. I asked if she had a pedicure package and not just the basic pedicure where she suggested an add on massage. Not until a few moments later did she suggest the spa package that I had asked for before. Up-sale girl! I ended up getting the spa package plus the massage, and was absolutely not disappointed.

I came here with my mom and girlfriend right before a wedding and these ladies absolutely made our day. They did incredible work on our nails and were wonderful conversationalists. We loved getting to know them! They also rubbed our shoulders and paid such close attention to detail. Great prices, too. If I lived here, Id visit them every week! Ill definitely be back when Im in town again 😊 would give 10 stars if I could!

Not a good place by any measure. The technician completely stained my hands, the dip chipped within two days, and has totally fallen off four days later.

I am very pleased with my gel manicure. I was the first customer of the day but they immediately became very busy. The young lady that took care of me was sweet and gentle. She checked with me before she did anything. I love the little massages. Thank you Spa Anjou 🤗

My first experience here was 2 weeks ago, and I was happy with the finished look of my pedicure. However, it was 17 minutes long, and my friend’s, whom was with me, was almost an hour. The staff was very nice, but my pedicure was very short and missing many steps. Today I took my daughters. We didn’t have an appointment, but it was early in the morning & they said they could do a polish change on them. It is my fault for not asking for the pricing first. It’s normally $5-7 for nail and toe polish changes at most places. When they were done, I was told it was $20 a kid. I looked at the price sheet and there was no polish change price, but they could have got a kids mani and kids pedi for $25, rather than just a polish change. So I feel extremely ripped off, especially since my daughter’s toes look awful & my 3 of my other daughter’s nails are completely chipped off within an hour, and we didn’t even do anything where that would have happened. Again, the staff is very kind. But I am very dissatisfied and feel ripped off.

We were vsiting from Houston & needing manicures. We were serviced quickly without a wait (3 of our party of 4). This shop does natural nails (not full sets, acrylic overlays, etc). There was definitely a language issue. No-chip manicure & pedicures were overpriced (like a $25-35 difference). Shellac here is like $10 more. Really nice atmosphere- quiet music, nice decor.

I got my eyes brows waxed. I told her just a clean up and that I like my brows thick. She took half of my eyebrows off, one brow is thicker than the other and she burned my skin. I believe that was the owner. There is another woman that works there part time and she is excellent.

Great neighborhood nail place! I always get pedicures here and the staff is very accommodating and always take their time to do a great job. They do paraffin to soften the heels for no additional charge as well as the foot scrubber that other salons charge for separately. Never rushed, fair price and high quality service 💅

On a spur of the moment decision for a manicure for an evening wedding, my daughter, her girlfriend and I were SO pleasantly surprised by these wonderful women and the treatment we received! Kind, gentle and fastidious, we enjoyed great conversation and lovely inexpensive manicures. It was such a nice experience that it made me want to move back to Chicago so I can just go and see them every week! Recommend them 110% 🎶🎺🏙️ I will definitely be back when I visit home ❤️

I was skeptical after reading reviews, but Im SOOOOO glad I decided to stop in! This place is a printers row gem. I went in for a dip manicure, and was very happy with my experience. I was a little thrown off since they charge a little more than other places ($50/55 vs $45), however...they file by hand, and they do a full manicure, so its worth every penny!

Staff was very nice and attentive but my no-chip chipped in less than 12 hours. All i did after getting my nails done was eat dinner and watch tv before bed but I woke up with 3 chipped nails! Also all of my nails were filed in different shapes. I left a good tip because of how nice the staff was but kind of wish I hadnt.

I’ve been coming here off an on for the last 2 years. They have always been clean and courteous, even giving me a slight discount after I was waiting for a while though I had an appointment. I will add that the no-chip isn’t anything special for an overpriced $40. Unfortunately, I feel that the customer service and has declined recently. It’s a bit odd when you walk in and 4-5 technicians look up at you, but don’t acknowledge your presence. When the person sitting on the couch with headphones in finally acknowledged me, I was told to pick out a color and then was quickly told they couldn’t accommodate me because they had a customer with an appointment coming in 20 minutes and I would have to come back in an hour. I understand as a walk in that these things happen, but was put off by this situation. For a $40 manicure in Printer’s Row I’m happy to go somewhere else, and will likely make an appointment.
