Hi everyone.Unfortunately dr byun he loves money more than making his patients happy with the results.I swear to GOD Im going to tell everybody the truth nothing but the truth.Im 43 years old. He did my face surgery but he ruined it completely. Im so sad and in each time I look at the mirror start crying. But I believe in one GOD and Im sure he never gonna enjoy my money not him not his family either. GOD gonna let him pay somehow he will loose a lot of money because he lied at me a poor woman , he get all my money to fix my face but he didnt.

Dr. Byun is amazing. I have been going to him for about a year and a half now for Botox and filler. He combines art and science to look at the face holistically and always explains every procedure. After assessing the face, all of his recommendations are spot-on. His suggestions are based on his professional expertise, but he leaves the decision to the patient.I trust him with my face and I always leave looking SO much younger and more refreshed than before. My friends always ask me what skincare I am using and comment on my youthful face. I am in my early 40s and look 25, thanks to Dr. Byun. I have been treated by Dr. Byun for the last 15 years, mostly for restyline injections. More recently, he did 2 surgeries for me First, let me say that Dr. Byun is a real doctor, not a technician doing a procedure. Dr. Byun gets a complete medical and personal history or update with every visit. I always leave his office feeling I got much more than just a restyline injection. His philosophy on maintaining the skin, the largest organ in the body, is that the result should be natural for the individual, not exaggerated or arbitrarily chosen on scale from 1 to 10. With a background in pediatric surgery, Dr. Byun grew his career working on the smallest, most delicate among us, a great background for a plastic surgeon if you give it a moments thought. He is also the director of emergency care in his field at a large Chicago hospital. Dr. Byun has terrific bedside manner. He is warm, kind, and personable, and that sets the tone for the whole office. I am told that Dr. Byun is a little more expensive than the average practitioner in his field. That might be true, but you get what you pay for. When it comes to my face and body, I am not counting nickels and dimes. Dr. Byun is the best out there, and every penny is well spent. Highest possible recommendation, without qualification.

I am a 50 year old woman who has experience with bad plastic surgeons, so I have difficulty trusting others with my appearance. I have been unhappy for a while with the amount of moles and large sun spots on the side of my face and on my cheeks; however, after going to Dr. Bs office, not only was I treated with sincerity and compassion, he went to extensive measures to make sure the post-op process would turn out perfect.When I first went to the office, I was welcomingly treated by the people at the front desk. The procedure itself took a relatively short amount of time, and Dr. B made sure to get to each individual spot.After my procedure, Dr. B gave me precise actions to take for the post-op, and I felt so reassured that everything would turn out great. He told me to generously apply an ointment for 7 days and also offered me some skincare products that are available at the office as well: they consisted of wrinkle-reducing essence treatment, which made my wrinkles shrink completely. My moles were completely gone after one week.Im writing this review one month after my procedure, because I still dont see any scars or moles that have reappeared on my face. I continue to use the essence daily, and I have yet to see any wrinkles on my face. I highly recommend Dr. Byun for anyone seeking professional treatment with long lasting results.

I went to Dr Michael Byun to take care of a keloid scar I had received from a bad car accident. Dr Michael is a fraud. He charged me $750 for Kenelog shots that everyone else is charging bw $50-150 max. This is over $600 more than what I should have paid. When I called his office, I was first given the run around by his staff, and then told the doctor would call me back to discuss this issue. I never got a call back. This is highway robbery. Pls always shop around to double check costs you are being charged. Do not go to Dr. Byun he will gorge you on his fees. Bad bad doctor 😡😡😡😡😡9.23.2020 UPDATE TO MY REVIEWI had an appt with Dr. Michael Byun Aug 2020, to get a Kenalog 40 Shot for which I was told I will need about 3-4 shots and each will cost me $750 per session. Innocently, I went ahead with the appt and got the first shot for which I paid $750. I subsequently spoke with other plastic surgeons (both in the Chicago area, Atlanta and New York) who have told me that the Kenalog 40 shot cost ranges between $50 - $200 per shot.I reached back out to the Dr. Byun to ask why I was being charged such a high amount. At first I was told that was their cost and subsequently the doctor and his team became unresponsive. I left a message with his office saying I was going to let the world know that he is a fraud and that he should refund me my monies. Nothing!!!!! I did not receive a call back from the Doc or his team and so I went ahead and posted my negative review.Today, I just got a call from the doctors assistance asking if I was coming for my next appt which is tomorrow 9.24.2020. Of course I replied no! She then proceeded to tell me that there was a misunderstanding about my sessions and that my next Kenalog shot was to be part of the $750 that I had paid. I responded saying that I was told, via an email sent from the doctors office on their fees, that the Kenalog 40 shot was $750 per shot. So, I have this in writing.I went further to say that have already gotten my second shot from another plastic surgeon (Affiliated with Northwestern Hospital Downtown Chicago) and was charged only $200 for it. Also, two shots at a rate of $200 will come to only $400 which is still much higher than the $750 I had paid. The caller then proceeded to tell me that the additional amount I paid was for the doctors expertise and experience. I responded saying that was *bullsh*t. The doctor that gave me my shot was also certified and experienced and only charged me $200 (expertise and drug inclusive). She returned, that unfortunately there is nothing else that she can do and I can do whatever I want.So, I have taken the time to write this review to let everyone know about this doctor and his practices. This is malpractice to trick a patient to pay you such an amount for something that is way cheaper elsewhere. To not make good and fix the problem. Im sorry but Dr. Michael Byun is not a good person and definitely not an honorable one. We all need monies but we all also work hard for our monies. so my message to the good doctor is ....STOP TAKING ADVANTAGE OF YOUR PATIENTS DR. BYUN!!!!!!

Dr. Byun is AMAZING. I did my upper eyelids with him. It looks perfect. Very natural. I just look super young. No more hanging skin. I researched a lot before I found him. He is worth every single penny. There was no pain and a week after the procedure I was already looking good. Now after a month all is going wonderful. Super excited to have more photos taken and live life. So happy!!

Dr. Byun is the best there is. I would not go to anyone else.He is innovative and a perfectionist. I consulted 3 different surgeons for body reconstruction surgery after weight loss and decided on Dr. Michael Byun because his approach was different. First, he spent a lot of time with me. He explained to me exactly what was going to happen and made sure that my obsessive list of 1000 questions were answered. He showed me exactly where the incisions would go, following the natural contours of my body. The other doctors I went to took one look at my body, told me what they were going to do, and then gave me a quote. That was it. Dr. Byun drew up a sketch of my new body and then allowed me to make revisions to ensure I got what I wanted. He and his team were so friendly and patient with me and the surgery exceeded my expectations. At my one month follow-up I asked Dr. Byun about a brachioplasty at some point in the future and he refused to do it because he said it is unneccessary. That was how I knew for sure that hes a good surgeon. He could have easily taken my money and performed a surgery he didnt believe in... but he didnt. My surgery with Dr. Byun was the more expensive than the quotes I received from other surgeons, but it was worth it. He changed my life.

In 2007 I got a tummy tuck and lipo suction with a leg lift. After surgery I ended up in the emergency room with my legs extremely large and stitches open up. Since it was due to the surgery they packed me up and I went to Dr Byun. He had to give me give me a bag of antibiotics for a week. When that was I went back to Dr Byun and he offered nothing to me to fix my legs. I was so angry because my legs looked the same. I had such depression over it not able to wear shorts or a bathing suit. I also had great pain in my private area because the area was so tight and discolored a great deal differentIve not been able to say anything till now being in counseling and being able to talk about it now.

I want to thank Dr. Byun for the gift that keeps on giving. Before the facelift co-workers would comment, as I aged, that I looked tired all the time. I wasnt tired and I finally said This is how you look when you are 56 years old. That is when I started thinking about a facelift. I had it done in 2007. The results were exactly what I wanted. I no longer looked tired. The circles from under my eyes were gone as were the lines around my mouth. No frown lines between my eyebrows or lines on my forehead. I just looked refreshed. I kept getting compliments that I looked great but no one could put their finger on why. As the years have gone by I have aged gracefully thanks to Dr. Byun. My friends are showing their age and I have pretty much stayed the same. I dont feel I have to wear bangs to cover my forehead and my eyes are open and allow my eye shadow to show. I’ve came to Dr Byun for Rhinoplasty for my daughter. Since I was there I had talked to him about lipo and Hi def Vaser. He was so honest with me and my daughter. I had the pleasure of attending a charity event for Dr. Byun. The event benefited those in need of surgery, but dont have the funds to pay for it through insurance. At the event he shared some stories of patients that he has helped in the past. These patients werent patients that got a procedure done to increase thier beauty it was to correct an issue that happened to them in an accident or disease. Patients that he helped also came to the event to share their stories and show their happiness they have now.It was a very good event and was able to show how great the charity is and how it can help others in need.

I had tummy tuck breast lift and liposuction at this place... at first I was very interested I was hoping I found the right doctor..to be honest I even feel worse than before I had a surgery.. you never see the doctor after the surgery .. and one i requested to see the doctor after 5 month check up .. I stated my tummy look big and one side of my body is higher the answer is you didn’t get the Lipo ( if you guys ever want to do anything from this office make sure you have a copy of the paper because otherwise they will agure with you they think you spend the money and don’t know what you get).. the nipble look totally so weird and he said take time to heal no it not .. it the way he solves.. the work that he done it not right.. Now I know my body nothing better but the weird scar.. REMEMBER WHEN YOU CONSULT WITH HIM .. HE WILL SAID YOU HIRED ILL MAKE YOU HAPPY.. yes you will pay more to get the results DOUBLE..I’m doing this review because as a women I know how hard when you get the wrong results please be careful when you choose the doctor ..it can affect your life for a long time ... I really don’t want my pictures in public and I don’t have time to complain to write long story but I will start my blog on this matter for all of women ... please consider to go to this place

Best plastic surgeon on the planet!!!! I have had lots of masterful work done by Dr. Byun and no one would guess I look anything but natural. I have had a mid and lower facelift, lower bleph, browlift and my current favorites botox and platelet injections. I have a very thin face and the platelet injections are actually like a treatment that promotes collagen production and plumps my face nicely. His technique is like no other doctors. If you want to look youthful and natural go to Dr. Byun. He couldnt be nicer or more reassuring. Im happy to share him with you!

This review is for the downtown Chicago office location and the two appointments Ive had there:My skin has always been a concern of mine. I had acne as an adolescent and I continue to have a pimple or two here and there each month. I am unfortunately not one of those who are blessed with beautiful, porcelain Asian skin.Even though this was only my second time getting the chemical peel, I can already feel and see a difference with my skin. My first visit was a consultation with Dr. Byun and he listened to my concerns and provided me with some great feedback. I like that he offered to set-up a plan for improving my skin and he explained the process to me. I would have to say that this kind of education and information is important for any patient, because we typically want to achieve immediate results. And while there were immediate results, you also want to look in the long-run and make sure to maintain and continue with, in my case, nice skin.I already set-up my next two appointments and I cant wait to continue my treatment plan with Dr. Byun. Its pretty easy to set-up an appointment -- they really try to work with your schedule. Its great that they have two locations, even though hes only at the Chicago location once a week. Its still better than only being in the Northbrook office.He is lucky to have an amazing staff -- everyone that I interact with is super friendly and kind. Nicole, the manager, is very professional and helpful. The aesthetician was very friendly and even explained what she was putting on my skin and what it was used for. I love the attention to detail and that she was aware of my concerns and wanted to help educate me along the way.

Please do the research on this doctor .. after paid 17 thousand for the surgery make me so embarrassing every time when I look at my body also so mad at myself that I didn’t research before I get it done...two different nipple.. also he placed one higher than other
