I went to this center at the beginning of June 2021. I went as a referral from my primary care physician to have a 3 - D breast mammogram done. When I called this place lasts year for the pricing they stipulated that all mammograms are $500.00 and any extra imaging instructed by the physician will be $100.00 each per slide of image. I decided to call in May 2021 about the pricing and the same information was given to me over the phone. One of the problems I had with this place was even though I stated that all imaging expenses will be paid by myself or out of pocket. The girl at the front desk stated we can’t accept patients that are under Medicaid by the state of IL. I wasn’t trying to use my Medicaid card but she at first denied me as a patient to come into the center. Second time I called, I decided not to even mentioned that I had Medicaid (No Insurance) and asked to pay out of pocket. When I went into the facility everyone was nice, the place looked clean and brand new. My problems came after I was serviced by the technician for my mammogram. She specifically told me if extra imaging was needed by the Doctor I will come back and get you for more images to be taken. That never happened so it was much to my surprised when I saw the final bill was $700.00. I asked the billing front desk personnel why the extra $200.00 charged to my account??!! She stated that extra imaging was done and I didn’t realize until I got home that this was a lie. Imaging was done on the whole circumference of my breast like all my mammograms have been done in the pasts and the technician stated if we needed more, we will let you know and this didn’t happen. I was told that I could schedule a ultrasound at a later date and when someone from their office called about the scheduling of the ultrasound I decided to voice my complaint to the Office Manager in charged apologized and told me a refund will be given for the $200.00 but that refund was never sent. So this place is nice and service was also nice but the rests is up from grabs if you ask me and next time I will just go somewhere else.

My first time there and I couldn’t have felt better. Dr. Farag is highly recommended by me. The reviews didn’t let me down at all. I am so happy that I came here. It is heart warming to be in a place where you feel comfortable with trusting someone with your care. His staff is just as amazing.

Seniors Beware.Their website states that Dr. Faraq does not take Medicare, so I specifically asked before making an appointment, whether they took BCBS Medicare Advantage Plans. They said that they did.I spent time transferring my previous studies and made the trip down, only to discover upon arrival that they did not.I not only wasted my time, but it cost me $16 (with their discount parking validation) to exit the garage. (But apparently, if you buy something at Bloomingdales for $10, parking is free. I wish that I had known that ahead of time.)A little attention to detail on the part of his staff would be helpful, especially to seniors during a pandemic.Aside from that, it appears to be a well run practice. Dr. Faraq got a stellar review from my breast cancer surgeon. Hopefully, his staff will not make the same mistake going forward.

Dr. Farag and his entire team are fantastic! They make you feel so comfortable. The experience can be frightening and uncomfortable, but they make all of that disappear. The whole team is incredibly kind and empathetic.

Dr. Farag and his staff are truly outstanding. Having a mammogram or ultrasound causes anxiety, and everyone in the office does their best to make the experience as good as it can possibly be. Dr. Farag cares about what he does, and will explain to you in great detail all of your results in plain English. In a world where medicine can feel like an assembly line, this practice is the rare exception.

I never do reviews, but my great experience here warrants one! Needless to say, I was nervous having to get an ultrasound. But everyone at Diagnostic Imaging Specialists eased my fears from the first call through the procedure and meeting with the doctor. They sensed my trepidation on the phone and squeezed me in the same morning, which was so appreciated! It is conveniently located and their office has a nice, calming environment. The procedure was quick and painless, and the tech and doctor had great bedside manner as well. And I loved that I had results right after the procedure. Would recommend this place to anyone!

If you have to go, go here. This office rocks from the kind desk staff, friendly nurses, and informative doctor. The office has a spa vibe which really reduced my anxiety about going. It does not feel like a hospital. Also since they specialize, they have the latest imaging technology and you receive results the same day. I was very impressed. I was in and out in 30 mins.

Diagnostic Imaging Specialists office is like entering a spa. It is the nicest medical office I have ever been in. They have chocolates, coffee and bottled water in the waiting room. The changing rooms are private and calming. Its really nice they do everything they can to make you feel relaxed. Being next to a mall to treat yourself after doesnt hurt either :)

I have been getting my annual mammogram at Diagnostic Imaging for several years now and have had excellent service. I am able to schedule my appointment quickly and with no problem. I especially appreciate meeting with the Doctor immediately after having the mammogram taken. All in all, an A+ experience.

I just left my appointment with Dr Farag and must say this was the best doctor’s office I’ve ever been to. It was clean, warm, comfortable, they had many refreshments and a relaxing, spa-like waiting room for patients. They have sonos speakers in the rooms and play great music which truly made the experience. My nurse was amazingly helpful and kind and Dr Farag himself is outstanding. He is extremely knowledgeable, pays close attention to detail and has great bedside manner. I will be a lifelong patient here! Thank you everyone.

Diagnostic Imaging Specialists is one of my best medical experiences. They treat you like a person, not a number. The staff is kind. And best of all, you get your results the same day - no agonizing for days or weeks.I was concerned when Dr. Farag took over the practice from Dr. Werber, but his attitude and demeanor is very similar to hers. No more concerns!

I have been coming to Dr. Werber or Dr. Farag for years now for my personal radiology diagnostics. This setting is such a contrast to a busy major medical center out-patient radiology facility. I love the fact that any additional imaging, if needed, can be done before I leave, sparing me another trip. The face to face conversation with Dr. Werber or Dr. Farag about results is reassuring. Beyond this excellent professional service, the space is beautiful and calming.
