Seeing Dr. Ralph Fiore was probably one of the worst experiences with doctors Ive yet had. I found him to be shockingly full of himself, and I was taken aback by his basic impoliteness and disrespect. He was willing to embarrass me, and whats worse, he didnt seem to care that he had. This guy was everything I hope my doctors wont be.

Rush is played up as offering better service than its surrounding hospitals but is false. I had a dermatology appointment set up for over a month. I was to be a new patient dfor Dermatology but have seen several other specialities within Rush. My appointment was canceled stating that the “time slot I chose is for Cosmetic Dermatology and the doctor does not do cosmetic dermatology, try river north or the loop location.” When booking an appointment it clearly asks for you to input what your reason for the visit is. I wanted to see the Dermatologist since I have adult acne and scarring in some areas from it. Does that sound like I want to see a cosmetic Dermatologist? Also, the schedule states nothing about cosmetic dermatology, so how would one know some slots are for regular Dermatology and some are for cosmetic. The reasoning made no sense, as if the Dermatologist I chose only deals with non cosmetic dermatology issues, why would there even be time slots for cosmetic dentistry. Once I was free I called back 1 hour after being notified via my patient portal that my appointment was canceled. Another patient was scheduled in my slot and the next available for any doctor at the location is not until Mid April. Will be transferring my care from Rush to UI Health. I had a similar incident with the Plastic Surgery department. One would think a simple call would be befitting to see what is it the patient actually needed before canceling the appointment. When you message the staff, no one responds and you can see the message has gone unread.

I managed to get an appointment after first being told by a very rude person on the phone that they would not have any available appointments near me for two months. When I was seen, I was treated by resident instead of the specialist I scheduled with. They did not listen to my account of the issues, talked down to me and patronized me, or better yet, infantilized me, and said nothing could be done after a hasty examination that couldnt have lasted much longer than two minutes. Rush came strongly recommended and I have visited with several providers and spent hundreds of dollars on care with them over the past year. Most of my experiences with them have played out in the same fashion, and I have not been given an effective course of treatment for any issue I have been seen since I established treatment with them. I have absolutely no idea how Rush ever gain a good reputation. Avoid them like the plague unless your are a glutton for punishment and enjoy wasting time and money.

I have been trying to get an appointment with Dr Ralph V Fiore II, Do since May. 3 times my appointment has been canceled 24-48 hours before my visit. You do not offer a different Doctor... You just reschedule my appointment for another 5 weeks out. Its truly appalling and I am looking for another Dr. I would 100% recommend going elsewhere this place is bad.

I selected Rush Dermatology because of the positive reviews and was disappointed with the dermatologist my primary referred me to last year. They took me back right away and I saw residents and then the mature/experienced Dr came in and I showed him a red mole that the previous dermatologist dismissed as nothing. Luckily he asked me questions and did a biopsy, two weeks later they called to say its melanoma.
