I feel comfortable going to this salon during the pandemic. They do a great job keeping the area clean and enforcing temperature checks and hand washing not only of staff but customers too. Kiona never disappoints with my cut and often gives my ideas if I want to switch it up. I’ve also started to go there for spray tans and Connie is amazing! I originally decided to give Mitchell & Co a try after I became super fed up with my previous salon (lots of turnover) and had been walking my dogs by M&Co almost daily (and snagging a treat here or there from their treat jar :) ) Bobbi is the best at color, my highlights look so natural and grow out beautifully between visits. The salon is welcoming and has such a great vibe. I’m so happy I finally found a place that I will keep coming back to!

Kiona is always very professional and listens to what I would like to have done. She is very talented in both cut and color; in fact I am 50% grey, but no one ever guesses that I color my hair; it looks completely natural!

My boyfriend and I have started coming here and will continue to do so because we always leave satisfied! Andreana did a gorgeous deep red on me today and Pamela was able to cater to my boyfriends particular hair needs and style as well. The girls here are so nice and welcoming and as someone mentioned in another review, not gossipy (which I always appreciate). You can tell these ladies are passionate about their work and they’re focused on listening to you and what YOU want. A very welcoming and vibrant environment. Also the shampoo girl was so good I wish I could have her wash my hair every day 😂 it was a bit pricey-but well worth it and these girls don’t waste your time. THIS is the place to go.

I used to go to Mitchell & Co regularly when I lived in Lincoln Park but hadn’t been back in a while since I moved downtown, strictly because of distance. After being sick of over priced and underwhelming results from salons downtown I went back there today and am so glad I did. I got a cut with Kiona and it was perfect. She listens to what you want and you can trust her to do it! Absolutely not the kind of experience where you ask for a trim and somehow leave with 3+ inches off.Kiona and all the salon staff are so friendly and have created the perfect welcoming, fun atmosphere. It is also obvious they are taking COVID precautions seriously - temp checks upon arrival, must wash hands upon arriving, very spaced out salon chairs with dividers in between and masks of course. Will be going back here regularly again, 10/10 would recommend!

AMAZING! Im so happy I was placed with Adreanna as a new client. She totally subsided any anxieties I had about chopping all my hair (dont want to look like Lord Farquaad) and worked with me so seamlessly on achieving what i was looking for. I got my haircut by Leo. Hes an absolute doll. I always get a medium textured bob. Ive never been impressed by my previous cuts or been loyal to a hairstylist until I saw Leo. He is very talented! He is mentored by Kiona, one of the owners. Shes a genius. The salon is not at all pretentious or gossipy, which I appreciate greatly. I highly recommend them!

I needed to get a haircut for an interview and my sister recommended that I go to Mitchell and Co. Salon. Having only ever spent $20 on haircuts, I was used to wearing hats for two weeks afterwards, but with both Rachel and Bobbi I can honestly say I’ve never been more pleased with the finished product. Both experiences, pre- and post-COVID panic, were awesome and I just wanted to say thanks!

This is a great neighborhood hair salon. The staff is talented and the prices are fair. You can book your appointment online, which is super convenient. They also recently installed an ATM in case you need to withdraw some cash (they accept credit cards, but you cant tip on your receipt).They also carry bumble and bumble products.

I LOVE this salon. It has taken me years to find a place that is efficient, affordable, and an all around enjoyable place to be. The owners are SO sweet. Kiona cut/colored my hair, and Ive never loved it more. I will definitely be going back.

Very happy with my experiences at Mitchell & Co! The space is lovely, my cut never takes too crazy long, theyre great about pre-booking, dont pressure me to buy the products they use (even though I have!) like some other salons, and Mikayla is an awesome stylist who listens to me and what I want!

Kiona is a wonderful stylist who runs a clean and friendly salon. I have gotten my hair cut by several other stylists and what I value most is the time they take to understand what you are actually looking for and how a style will fit into your life.

I am absolutely in love with this salon. I usually take a wild card & choose random salons each time, but I have a feeling this one may stick. Mikayla did a beyond amazing job with revamping my tired dull blonde hair into the platinum blonde color I love, even though it is so damaging & requires much effort for upkeep but she went above and beyond with making sure I felt comfortable for the amount of hours it took, in addition to taking extra steps in making sure my hair didnt dry out by putting coconut oil on the ends & keeping a good eye on how the bleach is affecting my hair. Plus her blowout skills are to die for! I usually look like a fool after a blow out, but she has some wild skills that put me in a state of awe. Seriously, I have never been this impressed by a salon before with everyone being so nice & caring, and I hope to come back very soon
