This review is long overdue. I have a kid that despised sports and any kind of physical activity. Of course Im not ok with this so I did what any reasonable parent would do, I signed him up for a sports summer camp. Since my son had been kicked out of a karate class and soccer class for not participating I called Brad at Hi- Five first to kind of warn him about my kid and what to expect. Brad was super patient and overly confident that my child would do just fine. I was reluctant but figured if they kick him out at least I tried. First week of camp my son came home excited about his day and excited to return. I figured it had to be a fluke but it wasnt. . My son who had previously declared Im not made for sports and I hate sports was enjoying camp and being a part of a team. The kid didnt even want to run with friends at a playground. This same kid now wants to take soccer lessons, talk about sportsmanship and was sad on his last day. Hi - five is more than a sports camp. The coaches are PHENOMENAL. The management top notch. If you are on the fence, do it! Your kid will be happy and so will you.

Hi-Five is terrific! Regardless of the format - summer camp, weekend/off-day sessions, or weekend programs - our kids love the counselors, the activities, the exercise, and their skills are improving. I cant recommend it strongly enough. Its also important to point out that theyve done a terrific job with all pandemic rules and requirements, and the operation is safe.

They were great, highly recommended.Brad was able to gather about 30 (!) six- and seven-year-olds from a playground, line them up, apply sunscreen and grab water bottles, bring them to a field and play organized sports for an hour and a half. His voice is incredibly clear and carries. I was able to hear him clearly from probably 150 away giving instructions to the children. They had regular water breaks, every kid had a blast. All the parents at our party were very impressed.After the activities we thought That was awesome! Ok now lets figure out how to distribute cupcakes.... Brad swoops in with his loud clear voice, and takes care of that for us, an unexpected surprise. He leads the birthday song, had each kid sign a soccer ball for our boy to remember who was here, then come get a cupcake. Obviously he has done this before.11/10 points Thanks

My kids have attended the Hi - Five Sports drop in and schools out camps. They are convenient, safe, and well organized. I am able to drop off all three of my children at the same time. Thy are different ages, have vastly different athletic abilities, and have varying levels of interest in sports. At pick up, all three are ALWAYS happy, exhausted, and asking when they can return. I highly recommend High-Five Sports.

It was my son Jacks first year at High-Five Sports camp and he loves it. We started with two weeks but he begged us to send him the whole summer, so we did. Jack is an upcoming first grader who was starting to feel down with lack of socializing as he is an outgoing kid. But now when I pick him up every day, he is raving about the variety of sports they did, the hot lunches (tacos, burgers, fried chicken), and other stuff like the dance competition. Totally fun and safe environment with temp checks and the like. Jacks mood is fantastic and man can he throw a football now! Jack made me promise him that we would send him next summer and we will. I cannot say enough good things about this camp- my standards are high and they meet and exceed my expectations in every way!

We hired Hi-Five Sports to host our sons 7th birthday party. Brad was AMAZING at engaging the kids and creating a fun, collaborative and engaging experience. He covered everything from reserving the spot to the final details. The team he brought was absolutely fabulous. We highly recommend Brad and his team.

We have participated in sports camp several times and an event at Hi Five and every interaction and experience has been stellar. The team is friendly and welcoming and great with my son, currently 6 years old. Communication is quick with the team as well. My son loves the time he spends there and they take great care of him. The kids are in good hands at Hi Five, I promise!

I wanted to thank Brad, Gary and the whole hi five team for doing such an amazing job this summer, especially under the current circumstances. Both my boys have enjoyed the camp for 5+ years and it wouldn’t be summer in the city without it. Every year the boys make new friends they wouldn’t otherwise have and further deepen relationships that I know will be impactful as they grow up. My wife and I can’t thank them enough for once again hitting the ball out of the park with a great experience.

It was my sons first year at High-FIve camp and according to him It was the best days of his whole entire life He cried the night before his last day and he cried on the way home from the last day! Each day he said was better then the last. Everything was perfect from drop off to pick up and everything in between. The counselors were amazing and my son has already started the countdown to next year! We highly recommend High-five and cant wait to go back!

My Son returned this year for his 3rd year. He had a blast. Camp just keeps getting better and better every year. Every morning, he would wake me up at the crack of day to have our pancake ritual and to make sure that we got to camp early so that he didnt miss one minute of the fun. Every afternoon when I picked him up, his little body was exhausted but his smile was alive and contagious, it lit up the room. He slept like a baby every night (thank you for that). No matter what level of tired he was when I picked him up, he woke up that next morning ready to take on the world. Ready to compete and conquer and have fun. The staff has been so incredible. Year after year, my kid has been impacted so much by everyone. New friends are made both older and younger. Character is built and developed. Sportsmanship and fair play are emphasized. Hi Five has been integral in my sons life. This year, more than any other, we needed Hi Five to establish some sense of normal and stable for our kids and they didnt just come through, they absolutely shined!!! The only regret that I have is that I dont get to experience camp the same way that my son did. Gary, Brad, and crew, we cant wait to do it again!

Great programs, friendly staff, top notch facilities!

Is there an option for more than 5 stars? The camp was amazing. The staff was tremendous. You could tell how much they cared about the kids and how excited they were to see the kids every day. For a camp run during a pandemic there were obviously safety concerns but these were dealt with consistently and never wavered. The day 1 process continued until the final day and was done every day. As a parent this eased a number of concerns as often stringent procedures tend to fall away as time goes on. That didnt happen here. They earned our trust in a big way.Our son loved going every day. He spent 6 weeks there and hes gotten more confident and sure of himself. Sports and coaches can be a powerful thing in a kids life and we saw that in our son. He left having grown during the time he was there. He loved his coaches. Every day in the car home he talked about the his best day ever. He had so much fun. It was a delight to see him sing silly camp songs, or do a dance that he learned at camp. When can we register for next year?

Brad and team at Hi-Five are very accommodating, easy to work with, and quick to respond. They work extremely hard at giving the kids a safe environment to play sports through their camp options. We are grateful for all their efforts and appreciate how much thought they put in to make sure the kids have fun. Thank you!

If you are looking for a party idea, this is it!! We had our 8 year old twin girls birthday party and it was fantastic! 25 kids, 3 amazing coaches, very happy kids and birthday girls. Most amazing, is that we got to have fun, watch the kids play, and take pictures. The coaches were enthusiastic and made my girls feel special. The kids were entertained and tired at the end. Thank you Hi-Five sports!!!!!

We love everything about Hi-Five Sports Chicago! Our son has done the JR-NBA basketball program, summer camp and winter camp. He also got to participate in the hi-five tunnel of a Bulls game! Hes always had a great time and asks to go back. Hi-Five has the best coaches and counselors. They really care about getting to know the kids and I was very impressed with the communication during summer camp. I received text updates and pictures throughout the day from both his counselor and the bus counselor! Gary & Brad are great to work with. We will definitely be back for more camps and programs!!

I have heard fantastic things about Hi-Five for years, and I have to say, every positive thing I heard about this company is true. All of the staff is friendly, personable, trustworthy, communicative, and they prioritize the kids safety, all while emphasizing the fun in sports. I have observed many camps, and I have found that the programming at Hi-Five continues to be consistently top notch. If youre looking for excellent youth sports programming in the city, look no further!

Our 10 years old little man attended the camp for 6 weeks this Summer 2019 for the first time. We were a little anxious because his social skills are still work-in-progress and his overall comprehension of common sports rules are minimal. He had a blast and came back home tired but asking for more every day. Gary, his son Brad and the team they assembled delivered quality activities in a safe & friendly environment, inspired by sport competitive spirits but with respects to fairness, others and their diversity. This is priceless!

Working with Brad and his crew has been an absolute pleasure. My twin boys love Brad and his coaches. We have done their winter break camp, days off school camp and most recently hi five coach from home camp. Every session presents an amazing experience where my boys are entertained, get a great work out and most importantly have a wonderful time. Most recently our coach from home experience involved my twins and 3 of their friends. Brad and his team were clearly concerned about their health as they took the kids temperatures and had sanitization plus PPE. All the while not compromising the kids entertainment and exercise. I cannot say enough about hi five.

Thank you for another amazing summer ( year 7) at Hi Five ! We were so happy that our son could have a “normal” summer during these crazy times. Thank you for the laughs, smiles, competition and hilarious dinner time stories !

My children (ages 5 and 7) participated in just 2 days of the winter camp and had an awesome time! The camp was high energy, my kids were engaged the entire time (or so they tell me) and they came home exhausted and eager to return. The counselors were really kind and after only 2 days knew my childrens name. Definitely a top notch experience!

2020 was my 7-year olds second year at Hi-Five. I cannot praise them enough for the hard work they did in making this a really great summer, when the kids needed it most. After a terrible spring, he had a great summer. Thank you Gary, Brad and the staff.

We had the most amazing birthday party for my 6 year old son with Coach Brad, Hawk and Justin!! 30 kids all had a blast and the coaches did such a good job engaging the kids. They managed all aspects of planning the party and made it so easy for the parents. High 5’s to High 5 Sports!

From start to finish, Brad from Hi Five went above and beyond to make sure my sons 9th Birthday Party was perfect! The kids all had a blast and it was zero stress for me which is priceless. I couldn’t recommend them more and I can’t wait to do #10 with them!

We recently had our son’s 10th birthday party with Hi Five Sports and it was all things amazing! My son wanted a variety of sports with 15 of his close friends, and that is what he got. Brad and his team handled everything with high positive energy and were extremely professional. We highly recommend them!

My kids had a great time at Hi-Five Sports Chicago winter camp. It was the best experience I could ask for my kids! No better way for them to spend winter break. The staff was exceptional and my kids had a blast.

I cannot say enough good things about Hi-Five! My kids have done fall and winter basketball with them last year and we are doing it again this year. We did summer camp this summer at Hi-Five and my kids are already asking when they can go back to camp! Well definitely be doing summer camp with Hi-Five next year.

My son has been going to camp for 3 years now. He starts talking about camp around January with great anticipation for an awesome fun summer. He loves the daily rituals of the camp, his teammates and even the competition. Its super active and he comes home wiped out from a fun filled day. I would recommend this camp to any kid that loves sports and high energy activity.

Theres no beating Hi-Five Sports Chicago and the counselors and staff that create the positive experiences for the campers. Gary and his team tailor each days agenda to the needs of their campers while also hiring the best counselors for each age group. The campers are safe throughout the day both with security team members out front and with frequent breaks for water and sunscreen (so important in Chicago summers!!!). Plus theres a full-time nurse on staff so no matter what happens, the campers leave each day happy and asking to come back the next day!! Sending your kid here is a no brainer

Hi Five Sports Camp is the best summer camp for kids that love sports! They have fun all day and come home sweaty and tired. They are exposed to so many different activities and end up making lots of friends by the end of camp. Also cant beat the door to door busing service. Highly recommended!

My son loved it, and my wife and I were very impressed by the facilities and all of the coaches that we met....BUT the owner, Gary, really disappointed us over a tuition rebate. It isn’t a lot of money, but it is the principle. Gary offered a refund - unsolicited - and then was completely unresponsive in his follow-up and then blamed his staff for lack of response.We are in a CPS school. School ended on a Tuesday. Camp started on a Monday. Gary held an orientation on Sunday, where he stood on stage and told everyone in attendance that High Five was offering a pro-rate for CPS children. We did not know this and were not expecting a rebate. If I misunderstood this, Gary had ample time to correct me since the subject line of my email was CPS ProRate. I called and talked to Rob at High Five about this. I followed up with an email to Gary telling him I talked to Rob. I never heard back and I never saw a credit to my account. Over the next eight weeks I re-forwarded my same email to Gary six times with ZERO response. I also left several phone messages on the answering machine and several live messages with the staff....ZERO response from Gary. One of his office workers lives across the street from us. I talked to her about this and she said she talked to Gary about it. I completely believe that she is telling me the truth. I caught her live on the street one day after camp and she said Gary told her that he had talked to me and had cleared it up. Not true-- no communication from him at all. On the last day of camp I called and got the same office worker. She tracked Gary down and I got to talk to him live. He told me that he had talked to his book keeper about this multiple times and she was to have taken care of it. I don’t know why he did not bother to call me or email me about this. I asked for his book keepers name (Susan) and contact information and told him I would call her but would expect him to call her as well. I talked with Susan and it was clear that this was the first time that she was hearing of this issue. I pointedly asked her if she knew about this issue prior to us speaking. She said NO. I told her that her boss had blamed this whole issue on her. She said she would dig into the issue and get back to me. About five days later she left me a voicemail saying that after talking to Gary that she had put a credit in the system for next years camp because this years camp was already over and they would not do anything after the camp was closed!I have sent a message to Gary since with no response...Not shocking...I tried to attach my email string to him but I ran out of room. I realize that this is a lot of detail, but if you are contemplating spending $5000 or so, you might want this information.
