I’ve been getting my haircut at Strands and Trends for the past couple of years now and I have always had a great experience there. I’ve gotten quite a couple of different services done there like haircuts, hair styling and hair coloring and each of these services have always been done so well. I called on a Saturday morning to get a cut, they were able to fit me in that afternoon. Yesenia chopped about 7 inches off of my hair (almost all of it was damaged) which was a pretty drastic change for me. She was incredibly knowledgeable so I let her take creative control and I absolutely love it. She showed me how to style it and recommended a few products that would make styling easy for me. She also answered all of my questions so that I would be able to replicate the look when I got home. Amazing experience. Amazing stylists. Ill definitely be back and am recommending Yesenia to everyone I know.

I came in with long hair that had about 2 inches of dead-ends. Asked those to be cut and my layers to be touched up, we determined 3 inches all together. I leave and get home to pull my hair into a hairtie and realize that i have no hair left. My already thin hair was chopping so thin that it looks like I am losing my hair. I cant believe I went from beautiful long hair to looking like a cancer patient. In some spots I have 7 inches of hair gone. Who thins thin hair? Also, parts of my hair wont even reach the pony now - awesome for summer and working out.

I used to care little of where I go to cut my hair and who cuts until I came to Stands & Trends. I received the utmost care and attention to my hair and head. Your experience starts since the moment you walk in. The staff is extremely nice and friendly. The haircut I got from Tim the stylist was the absolute best. I think its the absolute best I have ever looked. I was very happy with my visit.The premises are kept always clean and i got excellent recommendations for hair products. I recommend customers to call in advance to avoid any wait. And definitely try the coffee they make at this place, its phenomenal.

Overall: Fun, friendly, and most importantly, a great cut! Ill definitely be back for another visit in a month or so!The good: Ella was incredibly friendly and gave me a great cut! Yesenia cut my hair a hair piece today. She understood how to cute a guys hair piece. She gavee such a wonderful hair cute. She blended everything perfectly. Thinned the spots that needed thinned and covered already thin spots. I am so happy I got my hair cut by her. So fantastic. Everyone here is so nice and professional.

I absolutely love this place!! I have never been in and on a whim, called and asked if they could fit me in within a 3 hour time frame and they did! The staff is amazing and sweet. Ella is such an amazing stylist! Shes so sweet & attentive! I have never had someone take so much time making sure i was happy! She asked me tons of questions about how i style and what i washed with & my routine just so she could make it as easy as possible for my busy working mom schedule. Update: Strands reached out to me after reading my review and offered to exchange the product they have amazing customer service. Also I got a second haircut from Ella and it was even better than the first! Best hair salon in Chicago.I needed to get a haircut so I walked into strands since my normal salon was booked solid. I was assigned to Ella who was great. I had ideas about what I wanted some of which were terrible and Ella told me that she had to offer her professional opinion. I followed her advice and my hair looks great. I bought the suggested product at the end but I dont really like it. I wish Id picked up a different one.

Tim White, has excellent Product and Styling recommendations. His talent and dedication to seeing excellent results is transparent throughout his work. Being new to the area, this was a great recommendation from several friends in the city and suburbs of Chicago. Thank you Strands and Trends, I have found my new salon! Very busy, but well worth the wait. I can honestly say Ive never been this happy with a haircut. The customer service is outstanding. I usually hate haircuts... but they made the process, not only painless, but enjoyable. Yesenia is a genius. Shes talented, consultative, and very friendly.

I cant speak directly about any of the other employees but Ive gone with Victor every time and have always been happy. He takes time talking with me about what I want throughout the process and making sure that I leave with exactly that. Hes up on current trends, and does a good job with educating you as he goes and with teaching you how to style your hair, the right products to use, etc. The only real drawback to me is that the prices are pretty steep.

Always great service. Love it that you can book and manage your account online. Only complaint is sometimes they run behind schedule which is kind of frustrating. Nevertheless still very much worth five stars and the great value for my staff that cares about the product they deliver.

I previously had a terrible haircut elsewhere in Chicago. I booked with Victor based on Google reviews, and I wasnt let down. He fixed the issues from my previous cut and proceeded to give me one of the best haircuts Ive had in years. Masterful attention to detail. Highly recommended!

My 3rd time @ this salon with Tim, a master stylist. FABULOUS!!!!he not only tamed my cotton candy hair, he gave me a fantastic style, as always.not only did the cut look great that day, but also 4 days later.Terrific value, great people, genuinely friendly, talented stylists.

This place is a solid hair care establishment! The staff is very friendly and welcoming (they offer you a drink upon arrival). I saw a regular stylist and explained to her what I wanted. She understood, took her time and did a fine job altogether. I was satisfied with my haircut and I plan on going back. The price was very reasonable too: $20. One drawback is a decorative tree in there that gets all up in your face when you try to sit in the corner.

Excellent staff. Very knowledgeable. Very educative. They know whats best for the type of hair and the purpose of the haircut. So far the best place in USA. Ive been in this country for 4 years and spent my time in Connecticut and Illinois and seriously I havent found a better place.

Tim was wonderful. I usually go to Hair Cuttery or whatever else is cheap, mostly because I cannot set appointments in advance, my job is too sporadic to hold down any normal appointments. Tim was very accommodating. He told me what he was going to do and why it would be best for my hair. I am very hair dumb so this was beyond helpful. I will be going back.

Ive never been into complicated hair cuts or styles, so I was a little worried that this place would be too hip for me. But Victor did such a great job with so little direction and for such a good price that this place is definitely going to be my new go-to. Easily the best cut Ive ever gotten.

I loved EVERYTHING about this salon! As soon as I walked in I was greeted with a smile :), then asked if I wanted a beverage. I literally waited 2.3 seconds before I was walked over to the chair to begin!The Owners were so welcoming and sweet, and my hairdresser, Yesenia, was fab!I went in with HORRIBLE looking hair, and walked out with a fresh new look. Ive been to Strands & Trends for several years now. Shay was my stylist initially and now I have moved to Tim. Hes open to hearing my crazy ideas and setting expectations to what can be done. Hes made my dark hair as blonde platinum as possible and it looks beautiful. Hes a great color specialist and you can tell he loves his work. Tims been my stylist for over a year now and that wont be changing soon.

As always, a meticulously crafted haircut. Ella spends a lot of time making sure my hair falls perfectly. She understands my lack of talent with styling my hair, so she designs a hair style I can maintain. I cant imagine anyone else cutting my hair.

Tim is my stylist and I have been going to Strands & Trends for over 2 years now. How I came across Strands & Trends originally, was that I was searching on Yelp and saw that great reviews and called them so they could fix my hair. Tim saved the day and fixed my horrible highlights. The staff was also very nice and I like the way the work together as team. I also like how they have new equipment and are up with the technology.
