This was my first time visiting George Charles and getting my haircut at a salon professionally— I was nervous but had an amazing experience with Bianca! I showed Bianca a video of the haircut I was hoping to get and told her I didn’t want too much cut off overall and she did exactly that. The length is exactly what I wanted (just a little trim off) and the style itself looks amazing (I asked for long layers). Bianca was also extremely friendly and personable.In terms of the salon itself, it was very clean and the staff was very friendly, hospitable, and professional. I just moved to Chicago so I’m glad I found a new trusted place to go to regularly!

I have been searching for a new salon “home” since moving to Chicago. I definitely saved the best for last! George Charles is spectacular! George knew exactly how to fix the color disaster left by the last salon I tried, and gave me the perfect mix of base and highlights. I finally look like me again! The salon is very clean, stylish and inviting, and the staff is so friendly! You definitely get what you pay for here! I’ve done the legwork and have tried all the alleged “best” salons in the city. George Charles outshines them all!

I got a haircut from Jeri Delgado. Jeri is a truly talented hairdresser. She has great, thorough training in her background. This training and years of experience allow her to always give me a fresh, new look that is never what I see anywhere else and yet, it looks like me. I am comfortable and feel great when I leave her place..I am in my 60’s and she puts a “little sassy” in my haircut that I love.Jeri listens, understands and has a relaxed, creative way about her. She is always professional and runs on time.

Mio is a fantastic stylist. Every time I get my hair cut she knows exactly what I want. I leave the salon loving my hair and I continue to love it while it grows out.

Jennifer is a miracle worker! I cannot praise her talents enough. If you’re looking for remarkable balayage and hair cut/styling look no further—Jennifer is the best.

Malia is a gem! I went in for some partial highlights and gloss to correct some really brassy hair and it came out so perfect. I really could not be happier, even weeks later I still love the job she did. Beyond her skill, she is so lovely to talk with. Definitely will be back.

As always, a lovely visit to George Charles. Jeri accommodated a quick tweak following my recent haircut. The mask affected a certain part of the overall cut, and with a few tweaks it was perfect!

I was visiting Chicago, needed a blowout. and chose this salon because it was close to my hotel. I booked online some 10 days ahead , a simple process. I selected a blowout at the time I needed, and it assigned me to a stylist, showing her rate to be $45. I included a note saying due to a back injury I would shampoo at my hotel, and arrive ready to style. I completed the booking and received a confirmation for a blowout with that stylist at $45.I arrived freshly shampooed, which surprised them as they hadnt seen my note, and chatted with the gal at the desk while waiting for my service. The stylist did a decent job, and I went back to the desk to pay.The girl informed me that the stylists rate was $65, not $45 as had been listed on the site and confirmed to me, and she hoped that was okay with me. I said it was NOT okay, that I had confirmation. She said sorry but it was $65 for this stylist. I was rushing to meet family and had no time to dispute this. So I said Id pay but never return there, saying theyd used a bait and switch. I asked why she didnt they tell me when I walked in, rather than after I was finished, and she shrugged.What a sleezy operation! I will never go there again, that was bad business practice and a ridiculous thing to do. Use caution if you choose to go.

I think the woman who did my hair did a good job but I did not feel comfortable. I booked through ClassPass and I’m not sure if that’s the reason why I wasn’t offered a trim but she left my ends looking crispy. I would have paid for that had I known it wasn’t included but it wasn’t even offered. I think because I’m young and of color that may have had an effect on my treatment in the salon. This was my very first time applying heat since I went natural 3 years ago. I left a 40% tip and the woman quickly left the salon without giving me any tips on maintenance or sleep care. As a person of color I do not feel comfortable returning to the George Charles Salon.

This was my first visit. Staff customer friendly, and it was very easy to make an appointment. Roxana gave me the best haircut I have had in years! She asks what you want and follows through. She does not rush you. A superb cutter. All in all, coming to this salon was a very pleasant experience.

Leia did an AMAZING job on my hair! She is so friendly and makes great conversation throughout the appointment. I’ve never had anyone get my hair as straight as she did and I’ll never book with anyone else. Thanks, Leia!!

I love my hair! Jordan is an awesome colorist! He was very patient and talked with me in depth about the plan to get the right shade of blonde. Everyone at this salon is so nice- the receptionist, the colorist, and the owner were all so kind, warm and welcoming. The salon is also warm and cozy. I was falling asleep at the shampoo bowl; it was relaxing and comfortable. I really enjoyed my experience at this salon, it was very positive. It is a professional, beautiful salon, and I would recommend it.

Cecilia is sincerely the best hair stylist I’ve ever been to! She took a fair amount of time to fully understand what I wanted and asked clarifying questions before starting. She also addressed my hair issues without pushing any products on me, but suggesting me to do my own research on them to consider for my hair type/concern. The vision I had going into the salon is exactly and more than what I could have ever asked for! Honestly, if you are on the fence and need a new style or just fresh cut, highly recommend Cecilia!! I’m so happy with how my hair turned out.

Great salon! I went with Malia for a balayage and keratin express, and she was amazing. She listened to all my hair concerns and made sure I ended up with something I was happy with. Will definitely be coming back for all my future hair needs.

Cecilia Jimenez took care of us today and it was great experiencing this salon for the first time. We got 3 hair cuts done and 1 hair coloring. Cecilia made sure we were comfortable and made sure our styles are what we wanted. Overall the environment was very welcoming and clean. Cannot wait to make my next appointment with Cecilia!

Great products used when I had my blow out. My blow out last 4 days! It was easy to get in for a same day appointment on New Years Day nonetheless. Personable stylist. Bonus: I asked for the stylist to take my picture. She had me follow her back by the wash stations and low and behold there is this awesome round light on a stand that she took my picture through. You can she a shadow around me in the picture. Thats so cool! Ill definitely be back when Im in town.

Came in for a Balayage and they were ready for me immediately. I have a lot of long curly hair that has always been box dyed so doing a balayage in the original hair color I wanted was not realistic. However Cecilia did an amazing job taking care of me and was able to do the balayage , gloss, hair cut, and flat ironing all in the same day. She even had to clear up her schedule so she could focus solely on my hair, which meant so much to me because I needed the hair coloring ASAP for an event. The owner George even took the time to stop by and discuss the situation and said he’d look at the schedule so they could do everything the same day. Very pleased with the results, my hair is healthier than ever and the look is subtle but noticeable. Definitely recommend and I’ll definitely be back. Thank you for your hard work ❤️

Mio is amazing! I have long black hair. She cut my hair exactly as I wanted and it looks amazing both styled and air dried.

I CANNOT gush enough about my hair, and its all thanks to Leia! She saved my hair from looking a hot mess. I had that pandemic stay-at-home craze of messing with my own hair using box dye, but not just any box dye. LMAO of course I used the worst type there is. (Splat) when I approached Leia. She was super interested in taking on my hair project, and God I cant say enough great things about my experience. She no lie had to remove the dye out of my hair using 4 different products because of how stubborn it was WITH caring for the integrity of my hair. She deep conditioned it. She put a dye, and a gloss over my hair. After hours and hours she styled my hair and made me feel so beautiful and so well taken care of Im looking forward to coming back so she can work her magic. If youre trying to decide where its at, its gotta be with Leia. No BS.

Wow! Jeri is amazing, I could not have left happier! I had a eyebrow tinting, Milbon moisture treatment, and the keratin express treatment done. It was my birthday and I wanted to treat myself to a salon day. Upon arriving I was lost since the salon is located in a hidden alley behind Prada. Once walking into the alley itself than their is a door guy at the end, that takes your name and lets you up to the salon on the third level. Would have been better if this was explained via email/phone once I made the actual appointment. That definitely would have saved myself time walking back and fourth a couple blocks for 20 minutes . Anyways, I call them a second time and the reception stays with me on the phone until I figured out the location. The salon is very clean, organized, and professional looking. I check myself in and my stylist Joseph is very well experienced and took care of my hair really greatly! I am of mixed race, Middle Eastern and Ethiopian so having thick hair is more prone to being dryer naturally. The Milbon moisture treatment, definitely helped add shine/moisture to my dry hair! I noticed a huge difference once he styled it straight. I received many compliments from my boyfriend and family on both my hair and the eyebrow tints.

Wowza!!! Ive been struggling for years to get the right blonde color. My hair is medium ash blonde and just kept getting brassy no matter what I did. Malia did an AMAZING job. She listened to everything I was saying and my hair is exactly the colors I wanted. She is a master colorist. This was a $600 highlight in a NYC salon.This is for sure my new go to place. The owner is also super amazing and nice. What a great find.HIGHLY recommend.
