I very rarely write reviews, so this does not come lightly. I cannot be more grateful for how timely, helpful and kind agent Howard Arbetman was when helping me get into my new apartment. After a few poor experiences with other agents at other companies, I was beginning to lose hope. Howards level of professionalism and knowledge is exactly what I expect from any agent who wants to close a deal. To my surprise, it appears that most agents in the city have lost interest in providing a certain level of care and understanding - but not this guy. Many thanks to Howard and Chicago Association of Realtors, I will be using and referring your services in the future.

I have been a member since 2001. I have served on the Grievance Committee for 15 years. Current management really misses the mark. It would be advisable to join a different association if possible!

I had an issue with a local realtor who had overcharged me on some closing items. After numerous back and forth trying to solve it, I was told by a friend to contact the CAB. My issue was resolved within 2 days after contacting them and my money refunded. I recommend anybody to contact them if you believe you are the victim of deceptive practices. Thank you.

Very Quick to take your payment, very slow to respond when you need help. I called to ask for some information they passed me through 2 or 3 people and then it went to a voice mail. The person in the voice mail never return my call. UNFORTUNATELY, AS REALTOR HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO STAY WITH THEM BECAUSE FOR SOME ODD REASON THEY ARE THE ONLY ONES IN THE CHICAGOLAND AREA. THEY HAVE MONOPOLIZED THE MARKET.

An employee sent a housing application/contract with this Company labeled on it. Very irresponsible and didn’t send our rent to the specific landlord like originally planned. Landlord had to call multiple times before getting a hold of her for a month. Even asked my apartment mate and I last week that we didn’t pay moving in fee when we had valid proof and documents back in May 2019. I don’t know who trains these employees but very irresponsible and not organized. Normally don’t review companies but never came across this type of issue with a realtor not giving the landlord rent and move in fee on time.

CAR is great! Anytime there is an issue of any sort they are happy to help and get it solved almost immediately. They continuously work hard to organize events, recognize members, and give back to the community. We are fortunate to have them as our board of realtors.

Pat Murray was my instructor for the 15 hour real estate course. It would be a crime to recommend this course to anyone and I strongly urge anyone interested in real estate education to choose one of the numerous other options.Pat Murrays arrogance was palpable throughout the entire course. His entire course is taught from his chair with no notes, visuals, or instruction. Pats course and instruction style can be summarized as telling irrelevant stories for the entire duration of class while throwing in some condescending remarks here and there.Pat was a real estate lawyer throughout his career, but whole heartedly believes hes a world class historian, CPA, agent, salesman, and mathematician and will stop at nothing to insult everyone around him to boost his own ego.The course does not cover any aspects of being an actual agent. The actual closing process is never covered, interacting with the different parties is never covered, who all the parties and responsibilities are never covered.If you take this course you will rely on your personal study of online resources to pass the exam. I whole heartedly believe I wasted two entire Saturdays in the course. The material is not difficult to understand or teach and while Pat does understand it, he utterly lacks the ability to teach it.

I have been trying to figure out how to get started on getting my leasing license for a month or so and it was super confusing... Well until i spoke with Lanora Tolliver, not only did she make it simple to understand she also guided me through the best method to achieve my goals. I really appreciate her help. I will be using Chicago Association of REALTORS for all of my future real estate needs. Thanks again.

The most horrible association agent can have the membership withThey put charges on me 2 time more because im managing broker-that is mean all my agent i manage will be low class and will make the same mistakeThey discriminate me and nor charged me equal as anther brokers....Also i was charged extra for stuff WASNT on the complain.....without giving me a chance to bring witnesses to protect my self....Group of idiots will decide my future....no wayI canceled my RE license .I dont need bullshits in my life any more

Cannot seem to understand English. I am no closer to an answer than when I started.No fear on the part of realtors because nothing will get done. Poor service is the standard.
