Above and Beyond is one of a kind Treatment Facility and work environment Ive never loved coming to work as I do now. The level of care that we provide cant be compared to any place I know of, We meet people at the level their at and offer many roads to recovery. Our approach is to make sure the client has all the tools they need to become productive members of society Drug-free, housing and working. Upon completion they become part of our Alum group and a part of the Above and Beyond family for life. Above and Beyond is more than just our name its what we do!!!

I found this place to help my brother. My brother never got treatment here only a tour. Unfortunately he passed away a month later . I am writing this review because you might be looking for help too with a loved one or maybe you need help. My brother complained all the way to this place when we went to check it out. He even threatened to stay in the car. When we walked in we were greated by a very nice gentleman named Steve. He gave us a tour of the building and informed us of ALL the classes they offer. He was patient and understanding. there is so much to gain from this place the classes they offer barely fit on their calendar. Its such a beautiful place it looks like an art center/spa. all the employees were so nice when we were introduced to them. My brother changed his mind and decided he wanted to come back it gave him hope. Thank you Steve for taking your time to help other people. I hope the next person that walks in and is unsure of this place get to talk to you.

Above and Beyond is awesome. The staff is amazing..no one judges you if you have a minor slip up..they feed you..groups are actually interesting..you never feel alone there. Plus even when you finish youre 75hours youre still welcomed to keep coming in as a way to keep structure and sobriety in your life. I would recommend Above and Beyond to anyone who is trying to start Outpatient treatment or has to for probation or parole.

The entire team is amazing! I spent my whole weekend in the REBT training & enjoyed every minute. It was very informative and eye opening. I would definitely do it again. Thank you Terri London & his team!

The best rehabilitation center that Ive experienced in my life. The staff truly care for the people who walk in. Everything is free which I almost couldnt believe. I highly recommend stopping in for your intake.

I was a client at Above & Beyond and I found the experience to be quite rewarding. The environment was very welcoming and the staff very professional. Although I have graduated I continue to attend their alumni program. They Always have open arms for any and everyone. I recommend their services to anyone in need. You wont regret it!

I provided weekly acupuncture treatments for the clients of Above and Beyond for close to two years. I thought the staff were very helpful, especially when I needed help or assistance. The clients were respectful and very appreciative of the treatments they received. I heard from clients many times that they loved this place, and this is the best recovery center Ive been to. From what Ive seen as a practitioner, I agree with them.

A truly amazing place to find things like brain mapping, acupuncture, SMART recovery groups (thank God they have alternatives to 12 step...12 atep is everywhere here in the USA and only helps less than 10% of the folks who try it...and has held addiction science hostage in this country, why do they think we need specifically Christian prayers to treat a medical/behavioral issue...the American Medical Association was originally very veryagainst AA...the US is at least 50 years behind where it should be in addiction medicine ...i could go on, but at least A&B gives you a choice!One can attend Smart Recovery or AA) They also have yoga, trauma therapy, art therapy, music therapy, resume writing workshops, free music lessons, haircuts, job help, a library, living arrangements for those without a safe place to live, food/meals available to EVERYBODY, whether one has insurance or not...and it isnt some dingy looking sterile bare bones place. From the outside it looks like a luxury furniture store/art gallery/loft building. Theres beautiful art everywhere you turn, some very cool stuff, everything from a giant chess set to a huge white Buddha, to abstract paintings , etc etc etc. You gotta see it in person. But they do some real miracles here, Im so thankful it exists!

Ive only been going a little over 3 weeks now and I must say I am impressed! The clients && staff are all very friendly. I suffer from extreme Anxiety. And there is a staff member there that does a technique called brainspotting and in 2 weeks my anxiety and decreased significantly!! They also help with housing,job placement and more. I recommend Above And Beyond to everyone struggling with addiction.

I was actually referred to Above and Beyond by a classmate prior to seeking out a mental health internship site. I highlighted them and gave them a call along with five others within my apartment sector, and out of the five that I called Above and Beyond was the only one that called me back. Go figure! The next step was returning their call to set up an initial visit, which in that initial visit with Kaori, I got a great feel of what its like at Above and Beyond during peak hours, plus I was introduced to several of their support programs (S.M.A.R.T Recovery, REBT - Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Art Therapy, etc.), and met several of their volunteers and staff. I felt overwhelmed, but excited at the same time because Above and Beyond was so welcoming compared to the others that didnt even consider returning my call.Since that initial visit, I have dropped in at Above and Beyond on a few occasions and even ended up moving closer to the East Garfield Park area, which was another huge plus because I put them as a high priority as my internship site.I highly recommend Above and Beyond if you are a client, volunteer, intern, or anyone looking for work because its facility is filled with diverse welcoming counselors and volunteers that keep its programs flowing. I have nothing but respect for Above and Beyond and any other mental health facility on this side of town because of the clients they serve and what they do.Thomas G

I have done 30 hours of treatment at this particular facility and I could not be happier with my progress. The staff members are engaged, polite, and very ready to help you whenever you need it. Theyve taken notes out of Victor Frankels style of Logostherapy and will attest to this fact. here is also a bigger focus on innovation and treatment for those people who arent christians or believers in faith. However, if you do believe, they also accommodate that very well and have many christian staff members as well. If given a chance, people will find their place here. I wholeheartedly believe this treatment center will go on to do even greater things for people who are struggling through an emotional or drug addiction crucible. I know from experience that it can be hard but Above and Beyond is a big help. Come on down!

If youre a part of the recovery community, and live on the Westside of Chicago? This is a great place to make some meetings. They help with some social issues that are apart of the community, and they have some great people that work there, and have groups there. If youre out that way? Show them some support.

This agency is one of a kind. They are caring, compassionate, and want the best for everyone that walks through their doors. They always answer the phones, there is always someone sitting at the front desk, they dont let people wait that long to be seen (most places it hours). Above and Beyond is something special and if you havent been there, go there. They have meetings everyday at noon, and then some at night through out the week. They even have SMART Recovery meetings. If you are hurting and want somewhere to go that will actually try and help you, Above and Beyond is the place to go.

Wonderful Environment and the staff is caring. Everyone that walks through the door has a positive experience of being treated with the utmost respect and care.

Dang I can only give 5 stars 😩😩😩I’m sitting in this establishment now great comfortable building that does not hold the image of a correctional center/captivity... I was there here not for recovery, I walked 3 miles in the hot sun with no source of water and my phone died in humbolt park... great friendly staff and clients... no working fountains at the public park and the updated property in the community have no access to water spouts nor electrical outlets every merchant nearby charge for the cup to give u free water or force you to buy something or ur considered loitering... Above and Beyond, great name for such a place... I’m going to nickname it AwesomeSauce😏 saved my life I was stranded 20 miles from home no communication and was almost a victim of heat syncope... I am not an alchohlic but indeed struggle with addiction I was not looked at funny nor judged, I’m not ready for recovery yet but I do recognize my addiction issue and do plan on changing my behavior soon enough, but I dare anyone to try for themselves at least seek information ... I was also raised in a family where alcoholism played key role in physical and domestic abuse amongst mother and children... I wish my father could acknowledge his addiction and agree to check out a place like this... I strongly recommend this facility to anyone struggling or dealing with alcoholism or any addiction in general... just when I lost faith in Chicagoland professional service centers who the general unpleasantly ask why are u here instead of offer the services ... Above and beyond is definitely worth the funding over other non for profit/ service centers ... Again awesome personable staff and customer service... GOOD VIBES... Keep the doors open and expand!!😀 just one question where is the commercial/billboard, this place deserves more acknowledgement on the great work and effort applied to serve our communities
