I was very happy with my recent experience. Dr Holmberg was thorough in her exam of my eyes. She was very pleasant while also professional. The office staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend Greenspan Optometric for your eye needs.

I really like the doctor as I have been going here for years but todays experience was the last straw! My appointment was at 8:30am and it was myself and this sweet older lady waiting to get in. The lady and I were having a conversation until the office opened and thats when I learned her appointment was at 8:40am. The doors finally open we sign in and guess who was called to the back first...well it wasnt me. As I went to pick out glasses I was informed that I could only choose a select few because insurance wouldnt cover the other frames. Im surprised by this as I was approved for gucci frames elsewhere! So disappointed! Just also want to mention that I do have good insurance.

I’ll update to 3 stars because Dr. Holmberg is actually great. She fixed the billing issue. The older white lady at the front desk is awful. The communication needs to improve as well. Because of how I was treated by that woman I won’t be coming back. If you dare to go here, choose Dr. Holmberg!Don’t come here. They waited until the did my exam to try to charge me an $80 fee and told me I “should understand my insurance.” This is new insurance or I would’ve gone where I used to. The way that staff talked to me unprofessional, degrading, and downright disrespectful. I would never come back or recommend and they can shove that $80 bill where the sun doesn’t shine because I’m not paying it. On top of that I never even got fitted for the contact lenses or even got a trial pair. It’s despicable.

Just got my new glasses from my visit with Dr. Holmberg and I could not be happier! Their selection for mens styles was impressive and I was surprised to find a pair that I loved! They are open till 7pm and scheduling an appointment for when I got off work was super convenient.They follow social distancing procedures and the office was really clean. I felt comfortable the entire time. The friendly staff was more than attentive to my every need. FIVE STARS for excellent service and patient care!

This is one of the WORST faciliities that I have been too. The staff have the worst attitudes, they are extremely uncaring, unfeeling, and are un-necessarily rude. They are also disrespectful to customers, and are very unprofessional. I would NOT recommend this facility to ANYONE. Do yourself a favor and research a facility prior to giving them your business.

Had 2 appointments with Dr. Holmberg within a week at Greenspan. I had no issues making the appointments and they were very accommodating. Upon arrival, the staff was extremely friendly. I only had to wait a couple minutes before getting in and seeing the doctor. Dr. Holmberg is very nice and very knowledgeable. She took the time to explain everything as it was my first ever eye exam and made me feel comfortable. The second appointment was just as pleasant. I highly recommend Greenspan Optometric.

Dr. Katherine Holmberg is by far the best Optometrist. Friendly, professional and extremely down to earth. I’ve been coming here for over a decade and have Never had any issues. Even though I moved to Indiana, I still haven’t switched to a different optometrist, because of my wonderful experiences here. Highly recommended!

Amazing staff as well as the best optometrists! This office is extremely clean and the staff does a fantastic job when taking necessary precautions due to COVID-19. My family and I have been coming here for a long time and never ran into any problems. Definitely recommend coming here for your eye exam!!

*I’d really give this place less than one star if I could. Terribly run office. Very rude and idiotic staff. Cannot count the times this office has done below average for myself and my family. We will not be returning once our glasses finally arrive. Just awful. 👎🏼

Had to make appt. For glass repair.They stated that the glasses could not be dropped off for repair 🤷🏽‍♂️. Arrived on time and waited for over 30 min. In over packed lobby during Covid before getting up and leaving. I will be changing my Vision Care location. Patience come with Practice, but extremely slow, inconsiderate customer service, pushes that practice, would have given them zero stars but that was not a option

The friendly and immediate attention given by the desk staff sets the tone for a positive appointment. The process continues with a thorough examination by very competent doctors who spend the time required to get the details right. This review is based on 2 encounters with the office. The first encounter being 2 weeks ago, and the second today.As a cash paying patient with no insurance coverage, fee transparency is of utter importance. That is not what I received at this office.My first visit was an exam. I was told over the phone that my exam would be no more than $100. Instead I was asked to pay $115 at the end of my appointment. My second visit was a recheck/follow up. I was told over the phone that rechecks/follow ups are usually $0. Instead I was asked to pay $80 at the end of my appointment.I have ethical concerns. Simply put, there were 2 occasions when the fees quoted on the phone were less than the fees actually charged, and, there was no discussion of final fees in the office BEFORE rendering treatment.

So because I was never compensated, I will talk about my experience. Back in April, my 6 year old was scheduled an appointment for an eye exam. Upon arriving VIA LYFT with my 6 year old and one week old as I just had a baby, I had to wait outside due to COVID and not only that but my appointment was canceled before I had arrived and received no phone call. A receptionist and doctor came out and spoketo stating that they called and spoke to me. Then changed the story to my appointment was rescheduled for Friday that week. Then ultimately being told that they weren’t taking eye exams for another few weeks. I was highly upset because not only did I just have a baby. I had a c-section so I was in pain. Haven’t been working so lyfting was a huge inconvenience for an appointment we didn’t have anymore. Once my children and I returned home. I received a call from the office and was told I’d be compensated for the ride with a gift card, when I came back to the clinic. Well I returned and mentioned it. They have no recollection of what happened and I was never to be compensated. Do not waste your time or money.

Fantastic experience. Thorough exam and thorough fitting!Having to get new glasses during the era of COVID is daunting but I just couldnt put it off any longer. Greenspan is taking COVID very seriously - everything was clean, there are limits on the number of people in any give area, and everyone was wearing masks. During my exam, the Dr. continuously used sanitizer on both her hands and all of the equipment. I felt very safe.Ive tried big box stores and every single time Ive purchased glasses I have had to take them back to be remade. Sometimes multiple times. I decided it was time to go to an actual doctors office and a friend recommended Greenspan. My eyes are very sensitive and dont handle change well. I told all this to Dr. Holmberg and she took all of this into account during the exam. She took the time to ensure we landed on the right prescription.Then I got to meet Sheila, the optician. Dr. Holmberg let her know of my previous trouble getting glasses made right the first time. I was a little concerned that a Drs office wouldnt have a good selection of frames and was very pleasantly surprised by the selection. Sheila really helped me pick out the right frames - steering me away from styles that would be difficult to adapt to (as well as styles that werent very flattering!). She took her time and did the measurements several times to ensure they were right. Dr. Holmberg came back to double check on the measurements (spot on, Sheila!).I also really appreciate that the frames are clearly marked based on which insurances covered them. It helps knowing up front so that you dont land on the frames only to find they are WAY over your insurances budget.I picked up my glasses 3 days ago and I love them. I can honestly say these are probably the best glasses I have ever purchased. Im still getting used to them but I definitely wont need to have them remade.Despite COVID, everyone in the office was friendly, authentic, and really accommodating. If you want a doctor and optician who take the time to really listen to you, I cant recommend this place enough.

Very friendly and professional. Dr. Holmberg took time to explain all my options and then we decided on a plan. Front staff handled a complex insurance issue. Frame selection was good, when glasses came in they took the time to fit them properly. The place to go in the area.

Bought glasses that cost 515.00 dollars. When I went to pick them up they were kids glasses. I’m 53 yrs old they didn’t fit. I left the kids glasses there. They told me no returns. I ask to speak with dr Greenspan and I was told he was bought out and no longer the owner. They did nothing to help me. I’m out 515.00 dollars. Worst place I ever went to

Dr.Holmberg was excellent! I hadn’t been to an eye doctor in years, and she made me feel very welcomed and comfortable. The wait was a tad bit long but I think that was just because it was my first time there, but other then that I would recommend the place to anyone. Dr.Holmberg was very friendly and made me feel extremely comfortable despite my nervousness.

I love Dr. Greenspan, I’ve been coming here for 15 years. However his front desk staff is ALWAYS nasty, rude and extremely dismissive. The lady that did my glasses this time messed up my order or just completely ignored what I asked for and did what she wanted to do. Now I have 2 pair of glasses that I cant use and have to take back. Because of the staff and the fact this woman had no regard for what I asked for Im done!

The doctors here are great but the front desk staff is rude and dismissive. They need some training in customer service. Their attitude and tone of voice is always condescending. The tech that fits you for your glasses has to be the worst person Ive seen doing this job. She has messed up my daughters repairs twice and blames us for her mistakes. If there was another Dr in the area that took our insurance I would go there instead.

Dr. Green span is great. Staff is friendly. This place is the best around. Does it really matter. What your race,creed,color. IS if service and quality is phenominal! As for billing. They do a great job and their friendly and helpful. If you dont have anything nice to say, say nothing and go somewhere else. You wont be missed!

After reviewing all the reviews i just had to give my input. This place is truly incredible. I bring my children here amd the ladies in the front office are so amazing. Everytime i call they are so sweet especially the one young lady named delah. She really broke down everything on our bill to help me understand what i was paying for. And the lady who helps pick out the glasses was so funny and just made us feel at home. The dr we seen was dr holdberg and she isnso sweet and caring. I feel that alot of the bad reciews make this place out to be bad when i have had a whole other experince that was just truly amazing.

My sister went there for an eye exam and was going to use Medicaid. She was too early for insurance purposes but decided she was just going to pay cash for the services. She really needed contacts as she was driving with one only. They turned her down and made her feel like she wasn’t worthy of services and made her feel like they didn’t want to do perform an eye exam. Not a good place not professional. They could have eliminated the wasted time by looking her up in the computer and seen she was too early for an eye exam and scheduled for a later date.

Staff in front needs training meeting and speaking to patients. I was a patient for over 20 years. Received call about my eye insurance was no longer accepted i said i would pay for the appointment for January 18 2018 at nine a.m. I received reminder call remining me about the appointment. I was spoken to rudely by one of the persons at the front desk stating that i didnt have an appointment and was not in the system. I made an appointment for the next ay and cancelled it about a half hour later. Went back later in the day and the other front desk person who was there in the a.m. and she said. I thought we cleared this up when you were this morning with an attitude. Is this good custumer service.I was told there are so many people working the front desk that it could have erased because there were many erased entries on the paper and it could have been done by any one them. Does the front desk staff know what they are doing. Do they communicate to each other. I dont believe so. Dont waste your time going to this doctor office as i wasted my morning due to incapable personal.

I had some Prada frames in for tightening. About 10 minutes later, they were returned. The black gloss finish was gone and the Prada lettering wasnt legible. When I asked what happened the woman said I gave it to her like that. These frames were around a year old and still looked brand new. Be sure to take pictures of your frames beforehand because they will surely deny any damage.

The receptionist are very nasty jenni, Deborah, and Carol from billing are not friendly towards humans outside there race and they show it. the doctors who work there needs to fire them because they are the ones who would keep their business to go down . They give you the wrong information when try to get set up to get a new pair of glasses. They dont listen to what you have to say and they are quick to say the doctor not in on the phone but when you pop up there he or she is there. So in other words its a bad place to go to for eye glasses. It didnt use to be that way shocking to find out over the years how they change the way they use to care for customers.

Ive been going here since I was a kid and Ive never seen anyone there that looks like me (race,creed,color). They also continue to get ruder and ruder. Their attitudes are down right nasty. I will be looking for a new office to provide me service.
