I had a phone appointment with Dr. Beer scheduled for 2:45 on 9-28-20. After waiting until 4:15 with no contact, I called the office and rescheduled for 10-28-20 at 2:30. As of 4:00 that date I was still waiting on a call. Poor management or very poor manners.Updated 11-16-20. After speaking with a very nice lady on the office staff, I made the decision to make an in-person appointment. I met with Dr. Beer and it was a very good and thorough visit. He explained the problem and also explained what the treatment would entail, I feel confident that it was a good decision to visit this practice.

I had 2 appointments here. First appointment was at 3:30, I wasn’t seen until nearly 5. When I was seen, they tried to stick me in with a PA which would be fine. I tend to like PA’s better anyway but my appointment was with Dr. Beer for a reason so they finally got Dr. Beer. He didn’t spend long with me and basically told me what was going on couldn’t be causing my symptoms but ordered a second MRI to be sure which I felt was reasonable. I respect his knowledge but at the same time the whole reason I ended up there in the first place was due to those symptoms. Next appointment was a telemedicine appointment to go over said second MRI. Appointment was for 1:30, I was called around 5. Kind of defeats having an appointment BUT this place is very busy. At the same time it really takes away from patient care when I get shuffled to the bottom of a to do list. HOWEVER, when Dr. Beer reached out to me for my telemedicine appointment he was sincere and explained what had happened and was personable and kind to me. I can’t say one way or the other how any one persons experience will go but I will say Dr. Beer is a good man and doctor who did his best for me and that’s good enough for me.

We were recommended to Dr. Beer by another Neurosurgeon who consulted with him for my family members surgery. Thank god we never have to go back; Dr. Beer was 40 min late (and we had to drive an hour to get to the office and an hour after to get back home). No explanation. No apology. Not even an excuse. Not impressed.

Dr. Beer is an absolutely phenomenal surgeon. I had a rare spinal tumor in my lumbar region that was putting pressure on my spinal cord. I was losing feeling and control of both legs. Dr. Beer made time for me in order to have the tumor removed. The process took two separate surgeries and Dr. Beer was absolutely excellent during both and brought me through the most physically challenging event of my life. I highly recommend Dr. Beer to anyone suffering from a sensitive neurological condition. I am now nearly fully recovered and owe my ability to walk to Doctor Steven Beer and his staff. Thank you from the very bottom of my heart!

My husband was seen on a fairly emergent basis with a diagnosis of a Meningioma brain tumor. From diagnosis 1/7/20 to first seeing Dr. Beer on 1/8/20 to surgery on 1/9/20 the care was outstanding before the surgery as we tried to absorb the news. The surgery went off without a hitch and at all times Dr. Beer and his Associates treated us with kindness, compassion and utmost knowledge. We felt comfortable at all times that we were receiving the best care possible.

Would highly recommend Dr Beer and staff. I had Bi lateral Carpal tunnel. the office staff are amazing and made me feel extremely comfortable. PA Garcia is amazing explained the procedure and order testing prior to surgery. Dr Beer prior to surgery made me feel like I was a priority and answered any questions we had. Dr Beer spoke with myself and my husband after surgery. Would highly recommend. And will only go to this office for any future treatment, should the need arises. The follow up and aftercare from the staff was outstanding after surgery surprised me as I had never had this level of care 5+ 🌟

The women who work at the front desk are very rude, do not relay messages, and think they are doctors. Ive never once seen Dr. Beers, only his PA Ceaser. Ive tried calling multiple times and am never allowed to speak to Ceaser or Dr. Beers because they are only in the office 3 days a week and are too busy to talk to clients is what I was told. I wish I wouldve read some of these reviews before I ever went here. This place has made me feel very uncomfortable, lost all trust, and should honestly be shut down for their malpractice. Im in excruciating pain and the women who answer the phone told me to deal with it. Disgusting. I would suggest everyone to go some where else!!! They will do the same to you.

I searched online for a doctor for a second opinion after an injury. Dr. Hochheimer won me over immediately. 25 years in the Air Force, in my mind if he could put Americas finest back together, I would be a snap.My surgery went so fast it is a hole in my memory. His office staff, Chelsea included are all super stars and made my visit as painless as could possibly have been done.Great Doctor choice..and a personal Thank you from me.Steven Callahan

I had back surgery May 2019 and the care I received from Dr. Beer was amazing! The knowledge he has is very reassuring from the 1st time I met him at my first appointment. I knew I didn’t need a second opinion because of the knowledge he and his PA has in their speciality. Dr. Beer and his entire staff were exceptionally friendly and caring as I actually looked forward to my appointments. I am doing a lot better and I couldn’t have asked for a better surgeon!

I was warned about this office by other patients at the physical therapy office Im going to. Though, I honestly never thought any office could be this terrible. While setting up my appointment to see Dr. Beer, I only ever saw him once on my final appointment for all of 3 minutes long enough to tell me unless I want to be cut open theres nothing more he can do. Multiple visits I sat in the waiting room for several hours, only to be seen by the PA. Every visit I would say where my pain was, every visit I would hear my only option was to be cut open. Every visit, except my last with the PA, I would suggest something else to be done aside from cutting me open. Mind you even if I wanted to be cut open my insurance would have made me do all the things I suggested to the PA anyways. Even still, I was being treated for an area that was not where my pain was coming from. Time and time again I would inform the PA and only on my last visit with the PA did he finally listen. The only thing this office was good for was sending me to a different doctor to get what I needed. If it was not for the fact that I was new to the area and to the insurance company Im using I would have instantly gone anywhere else but here. After finally getting a bit of relief, and finding out there are better doctors I could see. I ended my time at Wyoming Spine and Neurosurgery, this was back in 2017.Wondering why Im now more than a year later posting this? Ask their finance department, whom claimed and have harassed me for over a year that my insurance never paid them. When speaking with them they informed me I had to call my insurance. After speaking with my insurance they informed me that the office needed to call them. When I told the office they needed to call my insurance and speak with them directly I was rudely told thats not their job. Finally more than a year after this all started they finally called my insurance. This is by far the worst facility Ive ever been to, and thats saying a lot as Ive been seen in facilities in other countries where I dont even speak the same language as them. The only thing I can honestly say they have going for them is the woman who does the scheduling when you are leaving, she was always very nice.

Dr. Beer is an excellent surgeon. I had two fusions a few days ago and he treated me and my family with the utmost respect. He called my wife to personally explain how the surgery went and prepared her for my recovery. Cesar is Dr. Beers assistant and he is awesome! Very nice man who is incredibly knowledgeable and thorough. He made sure he had answered my questions prior to the surgery and he checked on me the next morning to get me discharged. He was competent, timely, and showed that he truly cares about his patients. Rene in the front desk is also excellent. She made my scheduling a priority for the injections I had prior to the surgery. She is also knowledgeable and friendly. Dr. Beers scheduling assistant was also great. I only interacted with her briefly but she was also friendly and thorough. Overall, Dr. Beer has assembled a great team and I highly recommend them. They are challenged in that Dr. Beer is really the only full-time neurosurgeon in Cheyenne and so they are incredibly busy but they make you feel as if you are a priority once you are working with them. I highly recommend them.

Wonderful doctors but the office support needs work. I know there can be a long wait, but I call 5 minutes before my appointment, they said theres no wait, then I end up waiting for over an hour. Also, insurance rejected my procedure that was ordered, but this office tells me we have to do what they say, and refuses to file an appeal which is well within my right to do so. I know they come highly recommended, wonderful doctors, I just would be aware of this before getting too involved.

I sought consultation with several different providers in the area. Several recommended big surgeries for my back. I thought at my age that would be risky. I consulted with Dr. Beer who was the first to offer non surgical options. After 2 injections, I have not felt as good as I have in years. Thank you Dr. Beer. Your staff gave me hope.

This has been one of the absolute worst doctors I have met in my life. His patients are not his first priority. Sadly, you would tell Dr Beer your med history, then you get stuck with a PA because Beer wouldnt see you. You would AGAIN have to tell your extensive history, then another visit, yet AGAIN need to tell your history. No one cared enough to put this important info in the computer. And you would be waiting hours upon hours for him to show up for appointments. We should have learned from the first time, he doesnt care enough to show up on time for apppintments. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

Made me feel like pain is in my imagination. Keep pushing medial blocks when they dont work. Had a fusion in Jan 2018. Failed after Dr Beer gave me a 90 percent success rate. Still in constant pain. Hes rude 😡 . If you have a balance with this doctor, he refuses to help you. I would NoT recommend Dr Beer to my dead dog! Hes horrible and only cares about money!

I’d rather die than have to go to this doctor. He screwed my husbands life up with his misdiagnosed treatment of my husband’s back! This caused my husband YEARS of agony until we were able to get help. This was under workers comp and they listened to this crook with his toilet paper degree and would not take care of my husbands back!!!
