Dr. Silber performed a vasectomy reversal on me in December 2014. My vasectomy was performed about 11 years prior so I was skeptical, he was not. We were fortunate to have a little girl in September 2016 after my wife experienced a miscarriage the summer of 2015, just a few short months after the reversal. We also had a son in July 2019. Dr. Silber and his staff was incredible to work with as well as everyone at St. Lukes Hospital. His work has enabled our family to be complete, adding our two little ones to four much older siblings that absolutely adore their young siblings.

The doctor here seemed decent, however his staff is the most unprofessional and rude employees that we have ever encountered. Twice, they stood us up by keeping us more that an hour waiting on zoom. Why schedule an appointment when you are clearly going to waste people’s time? Anyway, after being stood up twice, we left a review. Then his staff threatened us that if we didn’t remove the review, they would stop treating us.That’s when we decided to take our business elsewhere……… and OMG the service was night and day!!! At the other clinic, we were tested professionally, both the staff and doctors were always on time (down to the minute) and after a successful treatment we are now expecting a baby girl.So glad that we took our business elsewhere ….. you are paying tens of thousands of dollars and treated by rude and unprofessional staff….. completely unacceptable to today’s standards.Beware, beware, beware!!!

Mom and Dad were always titles my husband and I were very passionate about having but, after 5 years of trying many other fertility salutations our doctor pointed us toward IVF. We were so lucky to be from the St. Louis area but I think we would have traveled from anywhere for the great care and expertise we got from Dr. Silber. He was so kind but also very realistic and honest about the challenges we were facing. It was clear from the beginning that he would decide on a specific treatment based on our individual challenges and not just push us through a standard one size fits all IVF program, which is the experience many of my friends that went to other doctors had described to me.During the monitoring portion of my first egg retrieval cycle Dr. Silber actually decided the medication mix I was on wasnt producing the number and size eggs he was hoping for, so he stopped the process. This meant I could save the remainder of my medication as well the funds for the procedure for a cycle that would be successful instead letting me complete this one knowing I would likely have to have a second. This, of course, was disappointing at the time but more importantly just proved to me again that the success of my treatment was Dr. Silbers number one priority. After a reset period we started again with an adjusted approach. This produced 7 beautiful eggs, two of which would become my beautiful daughters.I will be forever grateful to Dr. Silber and his whole team for giving us the chance to be parents. Their care, understanding, and great communication made the whole experience easier and so much less stressful. Anytime I encounter someone struggling with fertility I feel confident and happy to be able to suggest Dr. Silber and to tell them about my wonderful experience.

After 3 years of unexplained infertility with recurrent pregnancy loss, Dr. Silber and his office brought us our amazing twin boys! Working with Dr. Silber was a breeze, as his office staff is very organized and communicative. Lots of communication is done via email, which is very convenient for full-time working couples. From our first meeting to our last appointment, my husband and I were impressed and relieved through our IVF journey.

How do we possibly say THANK YOU enough to The Infertility Center of St. Louis and Dr. Silber for giving us the gift of being able to have our very own family? It’s impossible to do our gratitude justice, but through their miraculous work, my husband and I were able to conceive our very own son earlier this year as a very happy and completely healthy little boy! We are extremely grateful as this most likely would not have been possible without our care team’s tremendous expertise, experience, and support. Dr. Silber is outstanding and we felt so comfortable knowing he’d been at the forefront of leading this work for decades and decades. His bedside manner is sharp, his knowledge of what would be best for our unique infertility challenges was assuring, and even though it took us three retrievals and two transfers until we were able to have our baby, we felt like we were in wonderful hands with our care providers. Each step was another chance in this dream coming true. Now, we are getting the dream of becoming parents to a sweet boy who we will never ever take for granted. Thank you also to Dena who kept us on track and informed of exactly what we needed to do, one step at a time. We will be going back to Dr. Silber and his team when we’re ready to continue growing our family. They have our absolute highest recommendation if you’re hoping for the best support in your fertility journey.

We cannot thank them enough! Everything went so smoothly and the communication was top-notch. I was never in the dark about anything and knew exactly what to do and when to do it. We started seeing Dr. Silber in May 2019. We started later in life to see our dreams realized of having a child together. Dr. Silber and his staff were the only ones who agreed to see us based on our age. After a couple of unsuccessful attempts, we are now excited to say that we are 28 weeks pregnant. We have enjoyed an uncomplicated pregnancy. Our baby girl has progressed wonderfully. We are overjoyed and excited about the pending arrival of our baby girl in August. The staff was courteous and encouraging, and they to, share in our joy. We would recommend Dr. Sherman Silber and the Infertility Clinic to any one that is willing to commit to the regiment and schedule that Dr. Silber sets for you. It may become frustrating at times, and you may become impatient with the process, but we urge you to stay the course. The end result of finally holding your child that you waited so long for will be more than worth the time and effort that you will put in.

We started working with Dr Silber in 2018 and went through only 1 egg retrieval process; which resulted in 2 embryos. We were happy since my husband and I were well in our 40s at this point. However, both transfers ended in a negative pregnancy result. We took some time off of the IVF train and took Dr Silbers advice and used an egg donor for our next attempt. And we had success! At 45 years old, I was pregnant and we welcomed our little boy into the world on March 5, 2021. I developed severe preeclampsia (not due to anything related to Dr.Silber or the infertility center of St Louis) and he needed to be delivered 8 weeks early. Despite being only 3 lbs 20z when he was born, our little man is thriving. He is almost 3 months old and is doing amazingly.Dr Silber and his team are like a well oiled machine; they have their way of doing things, they are organized, always available for questions, they get back to you promptly and they understand how difficult this process can be, so they have made things very streamlined and easy to follow-which helped reduce the stress in a stressful adventure. We cannot thank Dr Silber and his team enough for helping us start a family. We recommend them and their team to any couple struggling with infertility.

After trying several other fertility clinics with zero results, we were given Dr. Silbers information by our ENT. We had been trying for 6 years and were in the double digits with IUI/IVF failed procedures. We followed Dr. Silber and Dr. DeRosas recommendations and are so blessed to have healthy twins. The process can be overwhelming- we were pros by the time we found the clinic so didnt find it that challenging. If you are new to IVF, make sure you keep good records and ask a ton of questions. The hospital bills services separately which can be confusing.

I cannot say thank you enough Dr. Silber, Dr. DeRosa, Kelsey and Shelly. When I started this journey April 4, 2018 I could not have imagined all that it would entail. Your professionalism, kindness, and unwavering support guided me though my journey. There have been many ups and downs , surgeries/procedures (all of which you predicted by the way), and lots of tears (both happy and sad). Yet your office never once gave up hope and continued to encourage me to think positively. There were times that I know I asked some really dumb questions and I was never made to feel stupid in my asking. In a little over 2 ½ weeks I will be welcoming my baby into this world because of you. Thank you for never giving up on me and my journey to motherhood.

My husband and I were both 29 y/o when we got married in the Philippines in 2006. We were planning to go to the US and put off pregnancy. We came to the US in 2010 and got settled. We were in our mid 30s when we thought we were finally ready to get pregnant. We were not successful. At 37, we sought help from a local fertility specialist. I was told because of my age, I was not producing enough eggs and my eggs were not good to get pregnant. I was getting back-to- back IUIs. We were not getting pregnant and so we decided to take a break and tried to conceive naturally by doing all the advice one can get from the internet. We tried it all but nothing was working. We went back to my local Dr. and this time we were going to try IVF after 5 failed IUIs. They were able to retrieve 2 eggs but did not mature to become embryos. My Drs. said I can try a 2nd IVF but were strongly suggesting an egg donor since my chances of getting pregnant at 40 were very slim. I was contemplating on getting an egg donor, even thought of my sister to be the donor (my sister agreed to,by the way). I gathered myself and did my research until I found Dr. Silber. I was hesitant at first because of the distance and probable costs. I called to make an appointment at St. Louis Hospital. I met with Dr. Silber and Mindy in May 2017. I will never forget the things he discussed with us. He said that I have been through a lot. He said I was over medicated and was hurting my eggs. He did not promise anything but he said he can help with his mini IVF. Never did he say anything about getting an egg donor because of my age. My husband and I decided that day that we will instead do our 2nd IVF with Dr. Silber. Went home the following day and canceled my 2nd IVF with my local Dr.I came back to St. Louis and did my 1st egg retrieval. Dr. Silber was able to retrieve 4 eggs, 3 became embryos. On my 2nd retrieval, 4 eggs, 2 embryos. My husband and I cannot believe it. I did my transfer in December 2017 with Dr. DeRosa. Dr. DeRosa said to give ourselves a Christmas gift and do a pregnancy test on Christmas eve. My husband and I got the best gift ever. Our son was born in August 2018.I would like to thank Dr. Silber and Dr. DeRosa for their amazing care. They are both so caring. They made us feel relaxed throughout the whole process. They are both cool Drs. They are very sincere, warm and so good at what they do. Thank you Mindy. You were very patient, very organized and thorough. Thank you to ALL the staff of Dr. Silber and Dr. DeRosa. We are always praying for you and your work. Thank you St. Lukes Hospital for giving us a baby boy. We will come back in the future to give our son a sibling.Ive been recommending Dr. Silber and his team to people I know who are struggling to get pregnant. After seeing many other doctors in the area I felt like Dr. Silber took the time to figure out what was going on with us and our situation. After many failed attempts at starting a family, we are now expecting twins! He even said on the day of transfer are you sure you are okay with twins because there is a very high chance with these embryos and he was right :) I recommend him to anyone dealing with infertility. I have heard from others that it took too long to get in and then waiting in his office for an appointment took too long- to me that is because he is very good at what he does and has many people come to him for help. I didnt mind waiting, I just wanted the best and he seems to be it!! We are forever grateful to Dr Silber, my coordinator Kelsey, the whole team and Dr DeRosa.

We hope to share our experience in hopes of preventing another family from such a horrible, expensive experience! From missing medications to horrible communication practices, this place has been one nightmare after another for our family. The accolades all over the wall are meaningless - the proof of a good dr is good care and good results----all we have is $65,000 less in the bank and NOTHING else but heartache and frustration that comes from dealing with an incompetent staff. If you are looking for a fertility doctor, run to another option. This place cares only about money - its disgusting.

My husband and I chose Dr. Silber and his wonderful staff to assist us in getting pregnant. My husband had had a vasectomy 10+ years ago and was never interested in having children until he and I got together. Dr. Silber performed a MESA on my husband instead of doing a vasectomy reversal and I underwent an egg retrieval as he felt IVF would be the most promising method of getting pregnant. From the very first introductory meeting, we felt at home and safe with Dr. Silber and our amazing IVF coordinator, Dena. We never felt rushed, asked as many questions as possible, continued to have our questions answered via email before making a decision. We ended up going through two rounds of IVF with Dr. Silber. My first round was unfortunately not as successful in terms of results as my second, but Dr. Silber quickly changed the protocol for the second round to ensure success. Sadly, my first round we only had one viable frozen embryo, which did result in pregnancy, however, ended up being a blighted ovum. My second round was far more successful, had several eggs retrieved, and underwent a fresh 3-day transfer, and have two frozen embryos for future use. I got pregnant both transfers. I am currently six months pregnant with a baby boy and we could not be more thrilled to welcome him in June. The staff are all friendly and accommodating. While Dr. Silber is amazing and obviously very qualified, the reason we went back for a second round after our disappointing first was because of our coordinator. She was simply amazing and made every step of this process easy. From medication orders, to refills, answering silly questions via email or phone, addressing any concerns, she got a 10/10. Dr. Silber is very friendly and his assisting OBGYN, Dr. DeRosa is equally as great. I only wish we were in state so Dr. DeRosa could deliver the baby as well! The two of them made me feel calm during both retrievals and transfers. We could not recommend them enough! You will not be disappointed with their level of care and service. We look forward to bringing our baby once he arrives to meet the doctor who made this happen!Jessica

We are so grateful for Dr. Silber, Kelsey Green, Dr. DeRosa and the team. I was like many women who put off pregnancy for many reasons; career, travel and relationships. I started becoming concerned at the age of 36; and once i looked into the cost of fertility treatments I became overwhelmed. I put it off for another 2 yrs.Once I started I was asked to try IUI first (also insurance wanted me to do 5 cycles of IUI before paying for IVF). I did not want to do IUI, if I was in my twenties that would be fine. At the age of 38, i didnt feel like i had the time for 5 cycles and corresponding treatments. I did one cycle of IUI. My husband and I decided we would do IVF next. The cost of the drugs and procedures was outrageous! The local doctor put me on such high doses of medications. I retrieved 4 embryos from the retrieval. I was advised to do genetic testing on our embryos (a cost of $5,000). Once I got the results of my test, I was told they would cause miscarriages. The emotions that took place when I was told that was heart breaking. We decided then we would not return to that office. My good friend told me about Dr.Silber, I was impressed and hopeful that he could help us. My husband and I drove from Nashville to St. Louis to meet with Dr. Silber. He was so kind, patient and encouraging. He was sorry for our loss of the embryos we had. He said he discourages the testing, since I had a low count of embryos and theres always the chance of false positives. The Mini-IVF was what we wanted in drugs and the cost of it all. Its about quality not quantity of the eggs. The drugs were manageable, and i was not concerned about over stimulating my ovaries. I only retrieved 2 embryos the first time and 1 the second time. Before I could transfer any embryos I had to remove a fibroid on my uterus. I decided to have Dr. DeRosa perform that procedure. I placed 2 embryos with my first transfer. I was anxious during the process, only 1 embryo took. I miscarried around 6 weeks. We now only had 1 embryo left. We were advised to do another retrieval, at that point I wanted to transfer the last one (thinking in my heart that it may not work). I think I was more relaxed with my last embryo... which is maybe why it worked. We gave birth to a precious boy, Aidan. No words can explain the joy when he was born.I am 44 yo now, I still am planning this year to do another retrieval. Would like to have one more child. Will be using Dr. Silber and his team again.

You will meet with him and get your questions answered. He is down to earth, logical and objective oriented. Dr Silber seemed like a decent guy during our zoom conference. His staff however was very difficult to deal with. We were fortunate enough to have insurance that covers 80% of an out of network doctor. We gave the office a copy of our pre authorization letter and everything was fine. 20 days before my target date they decided we owed the money up front and insurance could reimburse. Hello, if we could afford that, we wouldnt have jumped through all the hoops to make sure insurance was going to cover it. And wouldnt have gotten them the pre authorization letter. When my husband voiced his concerns on this, they emailed us to inform us we needed to go elsewhere. So if you use them, dont stand up for yourself and question anything because you will be kicked to the curb. Then they will precede to lie and say it was clearly explained to us. Uh no, if it was, we wouldnt be in this predicament. They are only worried about the money and pick their patients because they can. I highly recommend not getting caught up in their scams. They kept mentioning the 99% who dont have insurance that cover IVF but never focused on the 1% like us who are lucky enough to have insurance that covers drs out of network. They dont know how to handle the 1%.

My husband and I got married later in life. I was 33 and Patrick was 37 at the time. We both knew that time was starting to go against us when it came to starting a family. After about five months of marriage, we began trying to conceive. A few months in with no success, I was at my normal well woman check-up and made a comment that my ovulation tests were never positive. This raised concern and my doctor started me on Clomid. (Yes, the dreaded Clomid that made me a crazy person haha!) One month, two months, now five months on this medicine and still no success. Plus, now we had the added stress of this becoming more like a job than fun and my husband having to live with a crazy woman. We were then referred to Dr. Pineda for more extensive help. After a lot of tests and visits, Dr. Pineda informed us that my case was more severe and I would need IVF to conceive. We were referred to Dr. Silber. Luckily he had a cancellation and we were in his office within the week! Upon our first meeting, Patrick and I knew we were in the right place. Dr. Silber took time with us one on one to answer questions and explain processes. He was also the first doctor to diagnose me with PCOS which helped explain a lot of unanswered questions and concerns. Patrick and I set up our IVF egg retrieval and transfer dates. We worked with Mindy extensively on administering drugs, ultrasound and bloodwork appointments, payment methods, and making sure we understood what was going on. She was always attentive and available and we never felt like a bother. Our egg retrieval went well. However, we still felt we had some questions and needed some clarification on things. Patrick called the office and Mindy got us in to meet with Dr. Silber one on one immediately. Having him take the time to explain things to us was wonderful. He has a very caring demeanor that made us both comfortable. After weeks of shots, medicines, ultrasounds, and bloodwork, we completed our first transfer of two embryos. We were so excited and ready to share our news that we were finally going to be parents. Unfortunately, on my birthday we got the call from Mindy with the heartbreaking news that this didn’t work for us. She was extremely compassionate and kind but the news sent me into a dark place. I began to slide into a depression. Our world was turned upside down. Our savings was dwindling, Patrick had a wife who never smiled and couldn’t think of anything except for the fact she couldn’t be a mother, and our relationship was being pulled apart at the seams. Again, Dr. Silber found time to meet with us one on one. He talked us through options moving forward and ways to cope with the difficult situation we found ourselves in. That meeting meant the world to me. It gave me the strength to say I believe in this doctor and I want to try again. Mindy got us on the schedule for the soonest possible time we could transfer. After more shots, and medicines, and stress we completed another transfer of two embryos. It was the longest two weeks ever waiting for those results. I remember shaking when I saw Mindy calling and not sure if I would be able to handle more bad news. Fortunately for me, her news was great! We were finally going to get the greatest gift ever- we were going to be parents! Patrick and I just welcomed our little baby girl, Harper Grace Durham, to the world on October 22, 2017. We couldn’t be happier!! All of the struggles and heartache seem to have just disappeared. Without Dr. Silber and his staff, we would not be where we are today. We are forever grateful for their compassion, attention, and medical expertise throughout this entire long and fatiguing process. Thank you Dr. Silber and staff for making our dreams come true!!!-Julie and Patrick Durham(and Baby Harper)

His nurse, Kelsey worked with me for my entire IVF process and she was fabulous. They’re very good about replying promptly to emails and phone calls. To anyone struggling with infertility, I recommend going to him first- I’m so thankful we finally did!

Thank you to Dr. Silber and his wonderful team for providing such passionate care and expertise with our case. We are very grateful to have found the worlds best fertility expert. After many physicians led us down a path with maybe answers, Dr. Silber thoughtfully reviewed our case and led us in the right direction keeping our thoughts and feelings about conceiving in mind. We wanted to try the most natural approach and finally went down the mini IVF pathway. We cant thank the Infertility Center of St. Louis more for treating us with respect and compassion.

After experiencing three miscarriages (the 3rd through our first IVF experience with a different clinic), I knew I needed to see a doctor who had great knowledge and options for our situation. We did two mini IVF cycles and got pregnant on our first transfer with Dr. Silber. All areas of working with this clinic went smoothly. Dr. Silber (and Dr. DeRosa) made sure to provide us the facts but with compassion and understanding. My IVF coordinator was very helpful throughout the process. I am happy to say I am currently 35.5 weeks pregnant with a baby girl! We are always thankful everyday. Also, we have a few frozen embryos for later to possibly grow our family. :)

After being diagnosed with cancer and going through chemo my wife and I could not get pregnant despite our best efforts. Dr. Silber and his team are passionate about the care they give and walked us through the process every step of the way. Our nurse coordinator Mindy responded to each and every question that we had (which was a lot) thoroughly and immediately. Everyone in the office was so friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. I liked that all my questions were always answered in a very timely manner. Dr. Silber is the best IVF doctor! My husband and I traveled to Missouri from Michigan to go through IVF. We previously tried IVF 6 times in Michigan with 2 doctors. Once with the doctors advice, inserting 4 embryos(no success) the result from that was a ruptured ectopic. Nothing short of a horrible experience. Then my husband found Dr. Silber and said “this mans amazing and so educational let’s give him a try”. So we did we ended up with one embryo and it stuck. We now have a beautiful baby boy named Zayden. If you are contemplating going to doctor Silber, you will not be disappointed! And if you get Dena as a nurse your nerves will be calm. She is also a pro at what she does. We had a lot of questions to say the least. We will be coming back this summer to try again. We feel so confident, the medication regimen is a breeze and the doctor is the pioneer of IVF. He stays current with medicine. When I went for the transfer I was at peace with it all. Thank you Dr. Silber you have changed our life forever. Not sure how to properly thank you for such a huge blessing. This baby boy is now 6 months old and gets so much love everyday from his proud and lucky parents. Thank you again! 😇

My husband had a vasectomy in 2003, long before we met. Then I came along, and wanted a child of my own. We really didn’t think that it would be possible to have it reversed with a good outcome. My husband saw a couple different local doctors, but they were not optimistic that a vasectomy reversal would work, due to how long it had been at that point. We then began to check into IVF as we felt that was our only option., but became discourage after finding out the cost vs. the percentage rate that it would be successful, so we kind of gave up for a bit. We were then referred to Dr. Silber. He was optimistic, and we were able to schedule his surgery pretty soon after the initial phone consultation. Kenneth had his surgery on May 9, 2016….. almost exactly one year later, I was pregnant! We had a healthy baby boy born on February 9, 2018. I would still write this positive review even if we didnt have success, which we didnt on the first try. My husband and I had been trying to conceive for 2 years with 2 ectopic pregnancies and no other choice but IVF for having our own biological children. I also found out I have PCOS and was afraid to pursue IVF but we made a consult anyway. Our first cycle of Denmark mini gave us one embryo that didnt result in a pregnancy. We were heart broken but was assured to try again with a different trigger shot. The second time gave us 5 embryos that gave us our twin girls. Dr. Silber and his staff are heavily involved in your success and are very evidence based. Hes been doing it longer than anyone else in the world and hes very no BS. Fertility issues can get very complicated very quickly and you can be told a hundred diets and supplements to go on. He sticks to the simple but tried and true methods. Dont wait and dont waste your money on IUIs, supplements, etc. Just go see them and youll be in the best of care from the start.

I used Dr. Silber for Mini IVF, I am 45.I chose his clinic bec all the successful stories he put on his web about specialized in advanced maternity age. Yet, this is just a lie. He uses the same protocol of Mini IVF for all, he does not have individualized protocol for older women. He came to me after the procedure stating that I had very low ovarian reserve, and acting like he was surprised by the numbers😒well you knew it before the procedure, right? You are claiming that u can do miracles. Although I gave 2 eggs, I ended up with zero embryos 🥴. I thought you claimed that you had this purified air lab system. Please stop 🛑 giving false hope to people. And they expect me to go through additional cycles, I must be stupid. Even if I want to go for donor egg, you clinic will not be my choice. You ignored all my emails and questions after the procedure, it’s clear to me that I was just a number, and you didn’t want any to do with me afterwards. So if you are older than 43, and you came to Silber thinking he is different than any other fertility clinic, and that you will find a protocol that fits you specifically, you are mistaken.I don’t recommend Silber for advanced maternity age. All his claims on his web are advertising materials, and I strongly think it is not true. They will focus on ur money more than you.Stop acting like you have the solution for older women with low egg reserves. That is the indication your testimony reviews and success stories give from your website, all full of false hopes, simply you don’t offer any special protocol that is different for them that’s all I am saying.Don’t be surprise you got 2 eggs from me, because I was following other professionals diets and supplements, which I had to stop all for 2 months ( following your advice) before your “mini IVF experiment”.

The sheer volume of patients that he juggles without confusion and with careful monitoring, is astonishing. He gets you on the schedule and started very quickly, which is amazing considering that these cycles can only be done 1-2 times in a year. For those of us fighting time, I feel like this is crucial. My coordinator was Dena and we worked with her for over 5 years in our journey. Shes caring and sweet and extremely organized as well. And Dr. DeRosa is so good at co-managing cases. Some of the procedures that I had done were historically very painful, but much less so when done by him.Dr. Silber has a great team that is methodical and caring.I will say, it took a village for us to have children and it wasnt the route I imagined when we started but 3 beautiful kids later, its hard to have regrets.

We have had one chemical, one miscarriage, and only one embryo remaining out of five good specimens with Dr. Silber. He is incredibly inflexible, refusing to perform most common testing other clinics insist on. In fact, after going to a new clinic, he would have missed the uterine polyp that could have caused an additional miscarriage in his normal FET treatment. It was only found during a saline ultrasound, not through a typical ultrasound (what youd do at his office for initial review and monitoring) or at the HSG I had done in my regular GYN office after my loss. (Which, for reference sake on my miscarriage, was found to be normal and lost due to SCH. My answer received was: wed do the exact same procedure over again. No additional testing required.)This clinic has been an upsetting experience: from a doctor who constantly forgets what youve spoken about and will aggressively ask why youre having a procedure right before it after being forced to wait three hours in their surgery waiting rooms; to getting were sorry you miscarried, let us know when you trying again five weeks after the fact and finally only after you tell them youre going elsewhere; to being kicked out the door the second youre pregnant without any additional support from his office. I will state they do refer you to their GYN in full transparency, but after having a few visits that took an hour+ wait and then conversations that lasted maybe 5 minutes with that doctor, I chose to pick one who didnt make me feel like they were rushing me out. It didnt even feel like their office and doctor knew why I was referred to him in the first place and made the whole situation really awkward despite saying I was an IVF patient with Dr. Silber. If they couldnt even take time to examine me when I wasnt pregnant, why would they start when I was having issues? In addition, no one wants to be told when theyre anxious after one loss already to just meditate since he doesnt believe in ANY medication that might comfort you. This is a painful, stressful time in your life. Meditation is good for plenty, but when youre scared and down four embryos already and so much money, it doesnt cut it. Just a little more comfort and bedside manner would have been nice and gone a long way. Finally, Id like to mention his off-putting commentary. During our first introduction, he made a massively overweight comment after mentioning I lost weight. And unlike what the reply is below, I have copies of his dictated transcript that state she is on Metformin but thats because she was massively overweight and she has a history of diabetes in the family. Which is wrong in the first place. I told them I had insulin resistance (no diabetes, but family does have) and lost weight after the fact. It just seemed a really weird comment at the time (was it really necessary to put emphasis on massively overweight?), but this is one of many other off-putting commentary throughout the entire process. In the end, just avoid. This doctor doesnt like to be questioned, and when it comes to your health and your hopeful pregnancy, you should find someone who goes above and beyond for you. Just find someone more compassionate and who will make sure your body is as prepared as possible for a baby. And makes sure you stay pregnant to the best of their ability. And in final fairness, here is what I liked about the office. Location. Prompt answers on monitoring days. If your coordinator was out, another would answer. I liked the feeling that this doctor had a lot of experience, particularly in cystic fibrosis. Honestly, I really enjoyed the coordinators and nursing staff. They put up with my worries and anxiety and generally tried their best.It just felt as if so much more could have been done, and when we pay all this money, go through these shots and hormones, everything is wrapped into this: emotions, health, finances, your entire life. You deserve the best.

He will study each case in depth to truly determine what is best for the individual. Hes an outstanding man who has a gift and his staff is the best! We were assigned Mindy to work with and communicate with throughout our process. She was there for me with any ridiculous or silly questions I may have had (which I did have frequently). We went in blind, not understanding the process or how long it would take. Going in for the first meeting we just had in our minds were going to have a baby in nine months--I dont know why that was our mind set, but it was unfortunately. We started our journey in August of 2015 and officially started shots in November of 2015. I gave birth to our precious baby boy in October of 2016! The wait and the long process was SO worth it!! Our family struggled for years to conceive our first child. We went to our local fertility clinic and had no success. A colleague and friend of ours recommended Dr. Silber to us and we are so grateful they did! Dr. Silber is clearly one of the greatest experts in the field of fertility. He gave us hope when we thought there was none. The level of compassion and professionalism is outstanding at the clinic. I felt so positive the whole time. We are now a happy family with two healthy IVF babies three years apart! I thank Dr. Silber’s expertise and science every day for our children. We have a few embryos left and are hopeful and excited for another transfer in our future. I highly recommend Dr. Silber to anyone looking to begin or continue fertility treatments.

DR SILBER IS OUR HEROIt all began about 5 years ago when we got married. We were in our early 40s. I never thought that I would have problems conceiving since I had regular periods and no health issues- non drinker non smoker, but unfortunately I was faced with the dark reality of infertility which was all because I delayed the natural biology clock of conception for so long.I was told by my specialist that because of my advanced maternal age I would have to consider getting donor eggs. That was a complete NO for us and I wanted to use my own eggs to conceive. Its really frustrating to know that most of the infertility specialist who claim to have great results do not even entertain patients who hit 40 unless they agree to donor eggs. They claim to have high success rates BUT the reality is they do not have high success rates, since their patient population is all under 40.So my argument is that real experts are those who can help older women conceive with their own eggs- that is an indicator of expertise and success.I started looking up online and by stroke of luck and fate I came across Dr. Silber who talked about revolutionary mini IVF for older women.Dr Silber was out of state for me in St Louis. I called his office and we made an appointment with Dr Silber and went to St Louis MO to visit him and my life completely changed. That was by far the best decision of my life.He looked at my ultrasound and told me right away that I had multiple follicles and had a fairly good chance of having my own child. We were so hopeful. He recommended that since my biological clock was clicking we go through at least 3 retrievals before transfer. We took Dr Silbers words like Words of God and followed his recommendations. For some reason I had total faith in him and he is such a loveable fatherly figure for me.I was administered minimal quantity of medicine far less than my first IVF experience at the precious facility. We went through 4 retrievals within an year and we had11 healthy embryos. The end of that year was magical. I had my first transfer. He walked into my room before the procedure and told me right away that I would get pregnant. I was very excited to hear that but at the same time very doubtful because of all the negativity in me from my previous experiences.Again I cannot emphasize Dr Silbers expertise in doing the transfer so gently that I barely felt anything and its the technique that really counts in IVF.We flew back home and eagerly and anxiously waited for my first pregnancy test. The day finally arrived and I had the test. I cannot express my feelings enough in words when Dusty my IVF coordinator called me with the news that my ears could hardly believe. You are pregnant . It was like a dream come true. I had waited for this day for so long.I continued my progesterone shots religiously as I was told for 3 months and my husband finally was a pro in giving me those shots. My pregnancy went smooth and by the grace of God we have been blessed with a beautiful baby boy. I cannot tell you how wonderfully my life has changed. My son is a miracle of God.What a journey I had. I am a believer in fate and fate brought me to the right person. Dont be discouraged that if you are over 40 you have no hope left. God gives life and He can create from nothing. You just need to strive for it. Invest in it with time, effort and money. This is the best investment you can make for your future with surpassing reward. If you are reading this story then its a sign that your prayers have already been heard. You need to go nowhere. You are at the right place at the right time with Dr Silber.Dr Silber is very passionate about what he does. He is very straightforward, sincere and will give you the best advice. We both believe that he is not doing this as work or for any monetary gain but his sole goal is to help couples fulfill their dreams.

After 5 years of struggling with infertility we were lucky enough to find Dr. Silber. I have PCOS and spent years with doctors who didn’t seem to understand how to help us. Within the first 5 mins of my consultation with Dr. Silber I already knew he had a much better understanding of how to help us. Our experience with the whole office & hospital was great. The IVF process is a very emotional process. I didn’t respond as planned but Dr. Silber would make changes daily if necessary to my medication protocol to give us the best chance possible. We ended up with I my 2 embryos but that’s all we needed! We now have an amazing little girl who has forever changed our lives thanks to Silber and his team.

Dr. Silber and his team are nothing short of world-class. Despite having many reputable infertility clinics in our hometown of Denver, my husband and I decided to move forward with Dr. Silber in pursuit of his experience, reputation, and most importantly, the high-touch and high-care approach he applies to all patients. If youre reading this, you know that infertility is nothing short of an emotional rollercoaster and can often feel lonely, however, Dr. Silber and his OBGYN partner, Dr. Derosa immediately welcomed us into their family. We never felt like just a number. During our first appointment, Dr. Silber identified a possible issue that no other clinic had considered and gave us confidence that, with time and patience, we could and would successfully conceive a baby. Now, just a little over a year later (but after 4 long years of trying), we are finally pregnant with our first child, a baby girl, and couldnt be more thrilled to see what the future holds. Please do yourself a favor and book an appointment with Dr. Silbers office immediately. (Catherine & Peter Burge of Denver, CO)

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to post a review about this topic as it is such a personal experience. However, in early 2017 - I desperately scoured the internet in search of recent experiences related to reversals performed by Dr. Silber. I couldn’t find much after 2012. I have come to the conclusion that the majority of couples do not want to talk about something like this publicly - more so when the results are not what you had hoped for.My husband had a vasectomy reversal 13 months ago. Our 4, 7 and 12 month semen analysis (SA) were all zero. No sperm seen. We are in contact with 3 couples who had their reversals by Dr. Silber relatively close to ours - give or take a few months. All showing no sperm seen thus far and they were also one sided reconnections. One of the big areas of concern for us was communication. We had placed the $2,000 deposit to schedule surgery over the phone. I called soon after placing the deposit to request a date change and was told by Jan the date could not be changed to any other day or we lose the 2k.. regardless of reason. Keep in mind, we were still 2 months ahead of the surgery date as well. We went ahead with the original surgery date as planned. We had a phone consultation the day before surgery and Dr. Silber was highly optimistic. Vasectomy was right under 6 years old and this would be my husband’s first attempt ever having it reversed. Nothing was ever mentioned during consultation that Dr. Silber only reconstructs one side now and not both. $11,000 we paid not including travel expenses for one side. We didn’t find out about the one side situation until my husband woke up from anesthesia. After arriving home, I called the office to see what happened and why the right side was not attempted. Was informed by Dena that Dr. Silber no longer connects the second side if he feels the first side had a perfect reconnection. Interesting - this was news to us and never mentioned to us prior.Incision was large - approximately 5 inches. Healed with no complications, no bruising, and very minimal swelling if any at all. My husband was sore for an extended amount of time, but healing process went great. He took two weeks off work and did no lifting of anything over 10lbs (not even a grocery bag) for 4 weeks. Also no ‘releasing’ until 4 weeks post op. Followed all drs orders. What hurts the most is a false sense of hope. SA after SA we were just told it can take 12 months for sperm to return by Dr. Silber’s office. Was also informed by his office after month 7 SA, (no sperm seen) that Dr. Silber reviewed the notes from surgery and he thought we had a great chance for sperm return. We were also quoted a patency success rate of 95% during our consultation, but he really didn’t see us falling in that 5%. After getting the post-op report - we found out it didn’t appear to be a great chance for success at all. Our vasoepididymostomy (VE) was connected at the head of the epididymis which based on what little knowledge we do have about this sort of thing.. that’s a worst case scenario. That was not mentioned either. The hospital itself was fantastic. All the staff there were amazing! I really felt my husband was safe in their care, but at the end of the day - opening this door to a vasectomy reversal has been heartbreaking and expensive for an incomplete procedure.

We are extremely grateful for Dr. Silber and his team for providing us with the opportunity to have children. It’s easy to see that Dr. Silber is passionate about infertility and giving people a chance to have children who might not be able to otherwise. While we were in St. Louis, we received the utmost care and were treated as though we were their top priority. Their kindness and care comes second to none. We were very comfortable throughout the process because we always knew what was next. We were always told in great detail of what was happening now and what will happen next. It was very reassuring to know what laid ahead of us and to know that there was always someone there to guide us and answer any questions we had.We will be forever thankful for Dr. Silber and everything he and the wonderful folks at St. Luke’s have done for us. We will continue to share our story with others and hope that we inspire those who struggle with fertility to visit Dr. Silber.

I called Dr. Silbers office back in Fall 2017 to set up a consultation. When I spoke to the receptionist, I wasnt asked any questions about what our situation was, and because I wasnt sure which infertility treatment we would need, I was told I would need to make an appointment with his assisting OB Dr. Derosa. I assumed this was just protocol, so I went ahead and did just that. When we met with Dr. Derosa, we explained our situation and were told in less than 30 seconds we would need IVF. I then called Dr. Silbers office back to again to try and set up a consultation. Our appointment was set for early December, but shortly after was cancelled by his office and pushed back a month to January.Once we got in to see him, we started our chat and he was very confused why we were sent to Dr. Derosas office because our case was pretty clear, and in the long run delayed our IVF start 2 months (with a $218 unnecessary doctor bill they refused to fix). Our meeting was short, but it went fine. We were told it would be a pretty easy case and we had great chances. From there we were managed by his office staff, who continued to make error after error since day one. We repeatedly told them we would be using our insurance. We had a meeting with our IVF coordinator who went over costs with us, including a $500 non-refundable fee to start. After going over costs, we agreed and paid the $500. Soon after that, we were informed that the fees our IVF coordinator gave us were special CASH ONLY fees and we would have to call all the specialists involved ourselves to get the actual costs. The rest of the process was bumpy, minor errors and larger ones. My husband addressed all the big concerns we had with the office manager Pam, but we were told over and over that mistakes happen. Which I completely understand, and brushed most of them off. Unfortunately, my pregnancy test resulted in a negative. We wanted to start a second round as soon as possible, so after I took some time I called Dr. Silbers office back to set up round two. I also asked if we could sit down with Dr. Silber beforehand because we wanted to just chat. They set up an appointment, again it was canceled on their end and rescheduled for 2 weeks before we were set to start round two.Within that time we were having many issues again with his staff making errors. They sent us a rate sheet with lower costs, and weeks later told us it was sent in error, they sent my medicine script over to the out of state pharmacy we were ordering our meds through with missing medicines, FMLA dates approved by one person, but then changed after I had already submitted my claim to my insurance, wrong information in my instruction emails, sending me to the wrong labs, etc. I understand mistakes are going to happen, but this was getting out of hand and it was taking time away from my job to jump on the phone to try and fix them. I called and went over my concerns with Pam and she displayed absolutely no sympathy for the situation, again stating “mistakes happen”.Then we went in for our sit down appointment with Dr. Silber. As soon as we sat down he said, “I’m sorry I only have about 5 minutes and then need to leave, so say what you came here to say.” I tried to run through the questions I had, just a basic follow up that I personally think everybody deserves after a failed IVF round. He grabbed my folder and it was like he was reviewing it for the first time. It was TWO WEEKS from when I was supposed to start my injections and he was just then seeing that from my first round results I may need a different protocol. To make a long story short I left the office in tears. What if I had not made that follow up appointment? He would have never looked at my file to see that I needed a better protocol and I most likely would have had another failed round. So we decided to cancel our second round with Dr. Silber and we parted ways. I have since been validated with my concerns about his office by other people that have went to him, so I know I made the right decision.*Edited to fit*
