I would rate SLBMI with zero stars if I were given the option. I tried multiple times to set up an initial visit. Was scheduled with one counselor, then moved to a second, then a third before even the first appointment. At the beginning of my first appointment, the counselor began by that she was moving to another practice, but would forward my needs to someone else at SLBMI. She ended the meeting in less than five minutes. I never heard from SLBMI, even after calling and leaving a message asking them to help me meet with someone. This went on over several months. I finally gave up an looked elsewhere.

Horrible office staff, try to make an appointment for someone else and they laugh at you, then hang up.

I took my daughter to Dr Leslie Lopez. I do not recommend anyone go to her. She does not involve parents at all with any feedback. Did not return my phone calls. My daughter said they really didn’t discuss anything. She had her best friend pass away over the summer and was very upset about it and said they never even talked about it. Maybe if Dr Lopez would take the time to also talk to parents, she might gain some knowledge of things that need to be discussed. We then cancelled an appointment within 24 hours time and the next visit were charged not only our $50 copay, but a $28 penalty fee.Totally outrageous. Will never go back. The office also never calls to remind you of appointments.Seems very obvious Dr. Lopez and this group are just there to collect money, not to help anyone.

I have been going to SLBMI for over 10 years. For myself and for my child. The clinicians are fantastic and honest. They dont sugar coat things which is exactly what I need. The office staff is great. Judy and Mickie are great and I really enjoy working with them at reception. They are always kind and I have been there so much they know me, which helps me feel comfortable.Yes, the cancellation policy can be rough, but it needs to be in place. Ive been stuck with a charge or 2 because I forgot my appointment (my own fault). As someone who has training in this field the cancellation policy is an unfortunate necessity and if it werent in place, it may get abused (which is hard to handle sometimes if mental health issues makes it hard to get out of the house to appointments).I will keep recommending them. Thank you to all the clinicians and support staff for all you do to help people.

I have never had a negative experience with this office. They are always willing to work with my schedule and they are very pleasant. They go above and beyond. Dr. McKean is attentive, solution driven, kind, and she goes above and beyond to help our family maintain balance. I’m grateful for this organization.

Met with Dr. Cone along with my 7 year old and was optimistic about her ability to offer us tools for success to improve some behavior issues we are experiencing. I made our return appointment in office with Dr Cone at the end of our session the same day. We planned to bring her Dad and my mother who live in the home as well so we all adjusted our schedules to make the appointment a priority. We arrived at the office and dialed the number for the Dr since there was no receptionist working and the Dr acted as if she had no clue who I was. She asked me to go down the hall to another suite where there was a receptionist present, and I was told I had no appointment on the books. I confirmed I had the correct doctor and she agreed I had been seen two weeks prior by Dr Cone. I returned to the original office and called the doctor again who told me she was with someone else. She was completely unapologetic and didn’t offer to reschedule or take my info so that she could do so at the end of her session. I was cautious of the office after the reviews I read, but I hoped quality of care and concern would trump the billing issues other patients mentioned. It’s disheartening that a professional who spent an hour with my seven year old would have no clue who she is and be so dismissive. Very disappointing and we won’t be returning.

This group of people has been crucial in my recovery from my eating disorder. The IOP is the most helpful program Ive ever been in. My team was Dr. McKean, nutritionist Maiya, and therapist Cathy, and I recommend all of them. The front desk staff is also nice and helpful.

From the minute you talk to the receptionist to the time you receive your bill, you can tell that all STLBMI cares about is money. The therapists take the first half of your overpriced appointment to remind themselves of who you are while the psychiatrists talk to you for 5-10 of your 30 minute time frame. Don’t even get me started on the inconsiderably rude desk staff. I’ll save you the time of day reading about them considering that’s not what you’re here to read about. I was in desperate hard times after having my daughter and I wish I would have found elsewhere before they robbed my pocketbook.

There are better places out there. My psychologist was mediocre at best. My real problem with the place is the staff, especially the office manager. They are rude, in attentive, and just dont care. The office manager will not return phone calls with a billing problem. The place makes you feel like youre disposable and they rdont care if you come back or not because they have waiting lists for Drs. I was warned not to go here because if this and wish I would taken it more into consideration and went elsewhere which I have done.

This a terrible organization. They only care about making money and do not care at all about their patients.

Called to make my mom an appointment, Donna refused to speak with me, even with my mothers premission. She ended up making an appointment with a LPC, when I specifically asked for a psychiatrist because her meds needed adjusting. So it was a wasted drive, wasted Co pay and ultimately wasted time.

We tried this for months with my son. She was constantly late 15 mins most times. We also felt the therapist was not at all prepared for our 40 mins appointments, so it took a lot of our appointment time trying refresh her memory from the past discussions. My son didn’t get a whole lot of benefit from this place.
