My mother is currently in a memory care facility in Georgia and I’m hoping to move her up here in CT.I don’t know the first thing about finding an in home care person.I called around and talked to a bunch of home care companies but I found them to be too pushy and wanted too much information than I was comfortable to give out.I asked a friend and she recommended Rosie Jacobs at Assisted Living in Cheshire.Rosie was so kind and helpful! She acted as if I was part of her family they way she talked to me. She gave me, a college professor, the 101 of caregiving here in CT. She also said my siblings are welcome to call or text her with any questions they may have. She made me feel so good about this decision.My siblings and I have a lot to discuss, but once the decision is made, I am definitely calling Rosie to set up full time home care services.

We are very happy my Moms aide Pricilla. She is doing an excellent job! She is caring loving and cheerful. It was a transition opening our home to a stranger, but Pricilla has been wonderful, and very respectful ofour space and the needs of all of us.Melissa has been a wonderful coordinator, always a step ahead- she communicates well with the aides and clients. She lets the client know what to expect and as vacations or time off are needed, she is on it and problem solves. We are new to this organization, but we are very happy so far.

Assisted Living Services has been providing care for my 91-year-old father for many months now. The process to work with them and the State was very painless, and the caregiver should literally be sainted. My father resisted a caregiver in the beginning, and now he couldn’t imagine what he would ever do without her. I give this organization 5 stars. My mother in law fell in the beginning of the Covid pandemic, she was released from the hospital and we needed quality live in care fast. We contacted Assisted Living Service and within 3 days they provide us with caregiver. This caregiver is exceptional, she goes over and beyond. We were all surprised when a visit was made to honor this caregiver (Madina) with a platinum caregiver award, certificate and 5,000 check. What a honor and well deserved. Assisted Living has been nothing short of outstanding! Melissa LaPointe has been one of the most friendly, helpful, caring staff member that I have EVER dealt with. They provided quality caregivers for the last 3+ years for my 81 year old mom with Dementia. Our latest caregiver,Grace, has been amazing with mom, given the particularly difficult circumstances that my mother presents. Seriously, if you have never taken care of a Dementia patient, it is a very, very difficult assignment. Grace shows patience and does sooooo many activities with her. They go on walks, do puzzles, coloring books,talk, watch tv, sit on the patio and other things. Grace keeps the house neat and always cooks a quality meal for mom. Simply put, she is outstanding!! Quality worker, quality person. Assisted Living does it right.

I rarely write a review but I want to share our exceptional experience with Abena’s care and service.Abena is my mothers live in companion. My mother began to experience a medical issue that Abena quickly identified. She called me with FaceTime and I was able to observe what was going on with my mother. Because of this I was able to accurately describe the event to health care providers for proper treatment and hospitalization.I can’t say enough about the wonderful care Abena and Assisted Living has provided to my mother and thus to our family. I feel we are a team.

Although I have enjoyed a mutually-beneficial business relationship with Assisted Living Services for the past 6 years, I recently became a customer when seeking assistance for my active, 81-year-old father. Mario, Nick and Bill took the time to thoroughly assess my/his needs and recommended the Belle+ personal emergency response system with fall detection monitoring. Not only is the lanyard sleek and stylish so that my father actually wears it, the service technicians behind the device are exceptionally helpful and caring. You cannot put a price tag on the peace of mind that the Belle+ system has brought both my father and myself, but even that is very reasonable and well worth it! I highly recommend Assisted Living Services and Assisted Living Technologies for anyone caring for an elderly loved one!

Assisted living has been fantastic! They have gone above and beyond to accommodate my Fathers needs. He is very demanding and not easy to please. They have been super helpful and super understanding of him and his needs. They have been very patient and always willing to do what is best for Dad. I have been able to take care of both my parents through Assisted Living Services for about a year and a half now. I would not have been able to care for them full time had it not been for services that pay me to stay home and still be able to pay my bills. It’s a wonderful program . They are with you from the beginning through hospice care. I am great full to Assisted Living personnel, nurses etc. I know it hasn’t been easy last few months but I appreciate all they do.

Assisted Living Services is a great company to work for: providing care to the elderly, medically incapacitate and technologies such as WiFi capabilities. When a client vacancy is available their caregivers are informed via email and telephone. The caregivers are checked by Assistant Living Services about the assignment. The company deserves a five star for the caring nature.

My mom has a live-in caregiver through Chesire’s Assisted Living Services. I was worried about switching mom from hourly help to 24 hours. Caregiver Mavis is an absolute blessing! She is everything you could want for your loved one. She is hard-working, attentive, responsible and loving towards my mom. Mavis takes the initiative and goes the extra mile with great cooking of a well-rounded meal, and friendly conversation. She makes sure mom gets her daily hygiene, and a walk outdoors for exercise. With Mavis as a caregiver I don’t have to worry; she feels like family. Thank you Assisted Living Services!

While she was resistant at first, not fully aware that she couldnt be alone, the aide was so patient and caring, that now our mother cant imagine being alone! I have been involved with Assisted Living Services for more than two years. My experience with Assisted Living Services has been 100% positive.As I am responsible for a 97 year old lady who has no family left and is totally blind, it was imperative that I get 24 hour, competent and constant care for her.My first contact was with Tom Daly. When I talked to Tom, I felt an instant connection and got the impression that he was really listening to our needs.Since that time, we have only had one caregiver that I did not feel was a good fit for us and after a call to Tom, that person was replaced within 24 hours.Right now, we are blessed to have a caregiver who has been with us for quite a while. Mary has come to love and depend on Maria Sadia Pagan and I have developed a wonderful working relationship with her.As I live in another town, when Sadia is there with Mary, I am confident that she is safe and loved. I go up 2X a week to bring supplies, but other than that, Sadia and I text almost every day so I feel like I know how things are at all times. Together we are like a well-oiled machine, looking out for Marys welfare.I cannot say enough about the companys positive response to COVID 19. Immediately, they froze their people in place. Although being away from her own family for 3 months, Sadias attitude remained positive and she strove to do everything in her power to keep Mary safe. My heart went out to her for being stuck there for so long without a break, but her response was she was lucky to have her job, and it was Gods will.In conclusion, I could not ask more of this company, and Sadia, for giving me the ability to keep working and live my own life as well as take care of my commitment.

FIVE stars to the caregiver assisted living placed with my mother. Gladys B has been with Mother throughout the pandemic and has been exceptional...rose to the occasion and was compassionate and helpful during this most stressful time. My mothers dementia makes her a challenge - one that Gladys met day in and day out ...without a break for 3.5 months.

Nana our health aide is a 24 hour live in care giver. She is caring and compassionate person with a big heart. Nana is also competent in her role and tries to involve my mother in Dailey activities so she is not just a spectator . She goes above and beyond what we expect. Client care was always over and beyond and the caregivers I worked alongside were always well trained, caring and compassionate. Sadly I had to leave recently because my family relocated to Florida. When faced with the urgent need of returning my mother home from the hospital with round the clock care, Assisted Living Services, Inc. was able to place and start a live-in caregiver within 24 hours. Not only was my mom’s caregiver experienced and attentive, she was a wonderful companion who became a dear friend for the two years until our mom passed. Living quite a distance from our mom presented challenges but the company was especially accommodating and offered quick solutions as situations arose. We were very fortunate to have worked with Assisted Living Services and could not have asked for a better experience.

Sharon Corriveau, the Director of the Fairfield branch, is absolutely delightful to work with. Her compassion for Assisted Living’s patients and their families shines through whenever you speak with her. She is readily available to answer questions and address concerns. She is always understanding and listens. Even through the pandemic, my aunt has had consistent care with few interruptions in service and no long term interruptions. This is not an easy task. The aides are also compassionate and caring and go above an beyond to care for their patients. I would highly recommend Assisted Living Services, Inc.

Assisted Living Services has been a lifesaver to me and my mother over the past several years, and I highly recommend their services to others who find themselves in a similar situation. My mother was a high school educator, who was passionate about serving students. Unfortunately, at the young age of 62, my mother suffered a massive stroke. This stroke has forever changed her life, and requires her to have daily assistance with several activities of daily living. Her only request during her ongoing recovery was that she remain in her home, instead of being placed permanently into a skilled nursing facility. Living 3K miles away from my mother in CT, brought with it many difficult challenges when trying to find excellent care for her. After having some very unpleasant experiences with a few different caregiving agencies in CT, I was finally referred to Assisted Living Services, Inc. for their high quality care. The one-on-one initial home evaluation and follow-up care plan that both Kristin and Tom provided, led to us finding great 24 hour live-in caregivers for my mother. Our current live-in aide, Priscilla, is professional, caring, attentive, and very patient with my mother. Kristin at ALS, has been extremely helpful to my family with her warmth and compassion. The rest of the Assisted Living Services staff is also very kind and continue to provide amazing ongoing support and peace of mind to me and my family. This agency continually strives to help us maintain my mothers optimism and independence by keeping her in her home. We are so grateful for all of your efforts, and look forward to continuing to having Assisted Living Services provide long-term care for my mother!

An Aging Life Care Professional had recommended Assisted Living Services, Inc. to me when I was looking for 24-hour care for my 94-year-old father. Dad was living with a number of health challenges, most notably congestive heart failure. After meeting with my father and myself, Kristen (the Live-in Coordinator) assigned home health aide Maxine to care for Dad. Maxine was Dads guardian angel through the final months of his life, providing him with the best quality of life possible given the circumstances, and carefully monitoring his health for any issues requiring attention. Maxine went above and beyond the job description, and clearly felt not just responsibility for, but also a genuine affection for, my father. She communicated with me daily, often sharing photos of what she and Dad were up to, and was always responsive to my questions -- as were all the Assisted Living staff members associated with the Live-in Care division and with billing. I have no hesitation in recommending Assisted Living Services, Inc. if you are seeking live-in care for your loved one.

This agency is great and I especially love my caregiver SaVonna Bell. She is always willing to help me in any way she can even on her days off. It’s a good place to work at. The company only hire individuals who have CNA and HHA certificates. Employees are very friendly and professional. The employees seek for the farewell of their clients. It is very welcoming environment to work at.

Professional friendly service.

Assisted Living Services has provided excellent in-home non-medical caregivers to several of my clients and my mother. The aides interact with the people they are caring for including driving them, helping when they are sick, informing the family and making sure the person who they are caring for is safe and socially engaged. I highly recommend Assisted Living Services.

For the most part it has been great some of the office workers could have better phones skills when talking to people, but as for my mothers PCA she is absolutely amazing. she goes above and beyond for my mother. shes been very well trained in the medical field. live would not be the same if we didnt have Ashley in our home to help. there is no other way i would be able to keep my mother out of a nursing home. It goes without say this home health workers are so under valued or appreciated especially during this pandemic, they are absolute heroes and most certainly deserve some type of extra compensation for their hard work and dedication during these trying times. ive also had a fill in miritza i hope i spelled it correctly she was perfect as a fill in she did a very good job with my mom made her and myself very comfortable . she is a very good emloyee and person felt like ive known her for ever i would ask for her if we ever have more hours or need a fill in stay safe and keep up the good work
