Dr Shimkus is the best doctor! She really knows what she is talking about.she really trys to help her patients and listens to you.I would recommend her to anyone.The staff is friendly and helpful. You can tell everone there cares.

I spent 6 months talking to the office staff, trying to get my records from various doctors during covid. The office staff are rude and one person twice hung up on me because I questioned why personal health information was required to be emailed to a non secure email address (in violation of HIPAA rules) Not once In six months and many phone calls did anyone ask me if my pain was caused by a traffic accident where there was a law suit pending. The day before my appointment - and after having driven to the office to physically hand over copies of my military ID, I received a phone call telling me that the doctor wouldn’t see me because there was an outstanding law suit regarding the cause of my pain. The office manager I spoke to let me know that I should have told them before (I was never asked until now) Unacceptable. Now to find a different practice that is run in a professional manner.

I had my first visit there on 12/9/19 and I must say the Staff was wonderful. Greeted with a smile and very friendly. I saw Dr Jeanette Shimkus. She was very friendly and explained everything how her treatment program works. Gave me valuable information on things to speed up my recovery.

I moved to Virginia from Florida with a workers comp case. Usually you dont get quality care. I have seen some doctors through this case that I would never recommend.Since I was referred here at Blossom Pain Management it has been great. I see Dr Jeanette Shimkus, who is really great doctor. She listens to your needs, makes eye contact, really checks your lungs and heart and she assesses you every visit. Dr. Shimkus explains all your information in details and makes sure you understand.Very calming office and great staff. They are always polite and ready to help. They try to fit you in as soon as possible. I would highly recommend this office to anyone. You get one on one care.Thank you Dr. Shimkus and staff. Keep up the great work.

This office and all of its staff are amazing! When I couldnt get into other places for as long as 2 months, Dr. Shimkus and her staff were able to get me in with in a couple of days. And I cannot put into words how good of a physician Dr. Shimkus is! She was very knowledgeable, informative, straight laced and straightforward. She did not beat around the bush and let klme know she would do what she could to help. She is a Veteran of the worlds greatest Navy and her determination to help reflects that. Please if you are in need of a pain management, go see this office. You will not be disappointed!

Everyone was so nice and professional. All my questions were answered and the doctor seemed to really care about me.

Great experience with Blossom pain management and staff and I love my Dr. Shimkus! We sat down had a serious discussion about whats going on and my situation. She actually listened to everything I had to say, treated me like a patient instead of a person. She is also very professional and so is the front desk (staff). Luckily, I am a proactive patient. After sending the referral 11/2018, I still had not been accepted as a patient. So with my broken tooth (four weeks ago Monday), I physically walked in to inquire what was going on. Not surprised that they were not taking me on as a patient. Their reason being none of the physicians feel comfortable or educated enough to treat a CRPS/RSD patient. I then proceeded to tell them to update their website withthe correct info.I cannot speak about the reception staff or treatment given. But they dont even seem to be bothered by pain patients needing help. Be prepared when you call for an appointment. You may be sent on your way, accepted or in my case told there is nothing more anyone can tell me.

I been to many pain managements, And this is the first one that actually spoke with me first and listened to me, Most of the ones i been to before they even hear me ,I am usally told of the law what they dont give you or what you are taken is not allowed ,And how fast they throw you off, The staff are very nice ,And very pleasant to speak with, The Doctor was very professional, She not only knows her profession well as to help people who are in daily pain ,She also has the knowledgeable of helping people get off of any medication,that you want to get off from, She is very intelligent and knows and does her job well, So i give this doctor a five star ,if they had six ,I would give her that ,because theres been more than five pain managements, I wasted almost two years trying to get help, And was just told they are not taking new patients, Or i was in one that told me i had transfer because they where short of staff,than sent me to the one that was not taking new patients, I than called another one and was told there us a waiting list over 5 months, MEANWHILE I been tossed out with no help and they ,just did not care ,I am very happy not to get the run around aguan ,Thank you staff and thank you doctor ,Your new patient Ivyann stratton

Update: Doctor Zhitar is no longer there and released his patients without anywhere to go. In the last meeting he accused his patients of not wanting to feel better. The last appointment was horrible, he acted bitter, and unfortunately I have a few weeks to find another doctor which is a short time for pain management.Doctor Zhitar is a an amazing doctor! The wait can very anywhere between 30 min to 1.5 hours. Always come 30 minutes before your appt time. Nurses are nice. But, if you need anything done quickly or any prior authorizations or if you miss an appt, you will have to wait! Sometimes weeks.
