Checked in and was seen promptly. I wanted a second opinion on a surgery. Plus insight on pain I have after heavy lifting. Was shown my X-Rays after being seen by a PA. Carofino came in personally to show me. All looked well and was reassured that the pain is common from the surgery I had and I can hit the ground running in my job again. Dr. Carifino recently performed my shoulder surgery. He did a superb job and his follow up was very comforting. His nurse Brice is exceptional!!! The hospital nurse Thomas was wonderful!! I want to extend my deepest of gratitude and appreciation to all the staff.

I’m giving a one star because I am so unhappy with my visit. I made an appt with Dr Carafino several weeks in advance because he was so booked up. I wanted to talk to him about possible surgery for carpal tunnel. The day of the appt he was busy so his PA came in to talk to me. I was pretty upset since I had waited for weeks to see him not his PA and I was in a lot of pain. Then she talks to me for a minute, I go get Xrays done and she comes back and talks me into getting a cortisone shot instead of surgery because that could take weeks to book plus I would need a nerve study done too. I agreed to the shot and left. Total visit was about 10 min. Then I get the EOB from ins for $686. $300 office visit plus X-ray charge and $250 for surgery! And I never even saw the Dr. what a rip off. I made an appt with a surgeon not a PA. But charged the same amount and now a cortisone shot is considered surgery? I usually go to Jordan Young and they are fantastic but they don’t do hands/ wrists. I called to ask about the bill and they totally agreed with me but couldn’t do anything. The Dr is the only one who can change the fees. Not going back there.

Wow. I felt so comfortable from the moment I walked through the door. Staff at the front office was helpful, smiling and quick. Wait time was minimum. Brice and Dr. Carofino were very gentle considering I was very sore in certain places. The nurse was amazing also! I highly recommend this team/Dr:) Thank you all for taking care of me!Andrea

The wait was kind of long but once I got seen the staff was very professional and the doctor and his assistants were friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend Dr. Carofina.

It is important for the patient to have 100% confidence in the health care providers selected. This group has achieved this with this patient. And to quote a rather old song “it don’t come easy”. So far in this journey this team has provided excellent care and answered the many questions asked.

DR. Carofino is an exceptionally professional and knowledgeable physician. So glad I chose him for my shoulder problem: frozen shoulder. Excellent staff: everyone I came in contact with put me at ease. DR. Carofino clearly explained my medical problem so I could understand it. Surprisingly, my cortisone shot didnt hurt. He referred me to Physical therapy. My physical therapist Tina Hill was wonderful! She has a very positive attitude and is talented professional. Most skilled P Therapist I have ever been to. I can see results although itll take time to completely heal. Thanks for the wonderful care from a top notch team!

This was a post-op visit for a reverse total shoulder replacement which I had on the Aug. 6th. 13 days later, I cant begin to tell you How Fantastic all of this turned out, for being my first ever surgery at 68 !! Dr. Carofino is knowledgeable, honest and thorough. I was thrilled with how quickly I was able to be seen and how vested he is in trying to determine the exact cause of my pain. I was given his name while on vacation in Myrtle Beach, by a patient that lived in Maryland. I knew if someone would drive hours to see a Dr; surely he must be worth it. I in turn drive 2 hours for a second opinion with Dr. Carofino and I can tell you, hes wonderful. My situation is complicated and he was honest in telling me what to expect and was careful not to over promise any outcomes.

Dr Carofino and all of his staff are extremely professional and I was treated with care and compassion. When I had a question and left a message with him or staff, it was answered quickly and honestly.

Dr. Carofino is a wonderful caring physician and incredible surgeon. His confidence and knowledge as a surgeon is reassuring and his bedside manner is great.He truly cars about the well being of his patients and doesn’t recommend surgery unless its absolutely necessary.I entrusted him with temoving some loose bodies from my elbow and everything went perfectly.I consulted another physician who was very concerned about the nerves in the elbow and possibly causing more damage.Dr. Carofino was confident in his abillty and I had the surgery done. My elbow has healed perfectly.I highly recommend Dr. Carofino if you have elbow or shoulder issue.

I had a total shoulder replacement surgery 11 weeks ago and I’m very happy about the outcome Dr Carofino did a fantastic job on the surgery I am 68 and I was hesitant about doing the surgery Dr Carofino took his time explaining every detail that made me feel reassured and I went head with the surgery. One of the best decisions I ever made my range of motion is probably 90% and I am regaining the strength in my arm to almost normal Dr Carafino is a great surgeon very knowledgeable and caring I highly recommend him and if I ever need to do surgery again he will be the one
