I miss Sabrina wood. She was the best doctor I ever had. Now I see Gillman, who never once even introduced herself to me. She’s rude and condescending for absolutely no reason. If you try to ask her any questions that are important to you and your health she talks over you and in circles. There is never an actual answer or follow up from her. I basically pay $50 every visit for a two minute session of her calling me fat (phew lets not call the kettle black) despite all my numbers reading well or being healthy otherwise, only then to get blood drawn and never get any update on why or any results. The only positive is seeing the lady (Robin I think) at the front desk who seems to be just as miserable as I am to be there. Bless her for staying in that place. WHERE IS SABRINA

I was placed on female hormones to increase my testosterone levels. My medications where changed and I was never informed. When my A1C improved I was switched to dosages the caused the increase and and the given increased dosages of another medication. Dr.LaRocqie never did a diabetic foot examination yearly. Never addressed my concerns or those of other physicians who sent documentation about his treatment. He does not believe in patient participation in plan of care. Practice methods are out dated with little concern for client well being.

In 2010 they found a mass on my Thyroid gland and never recommended to remove it. I decided to get a second opinion in 2018 and my new doctor was amazed that the previous doctor had not recommended removal of the mass.My new doctor set me up with a surgeon to remove the mass andthyroid cancer was found. After two treatments my cancer has evolved into bone cancer and is incurable. If this mass had of been removed in 2010 I am sure I would not be in this situation.

Physicians assistant passed brusque and went right on to rude. I have had very few interactions with medical professionals that were more disheartening.

My experience was great. From being able to reach someone on the phone to the last detail of the visit. The staff are very friendly folks and helped in every way possible.

Dr. Leroy Jackson is very knowledgeable, but treated me like i was nothing. I am a female prior military, very condescending as if he did not want to be bothered. I had just got out of the hospital resulting in diagnosis that I have a tumor on my pituitary gland.I was out of thyroid pills which ask for, I was ask to sit and wait after my appointment for information on getting a prescription. He never came back out to let me know he prescribed anything. I sat there after about a half hour after being seen, I ask at the desk if He ever took care of the prescription. I was told he did not and ask me to call later. I have called several times in the last 2 weeks. Still no answer or results about getting medication. Do not go to this place.Dr. Paul B. Mitchell Neurosurgeon in Norfolk, VaWas the best and knows his stuff and great bedside manner. After long research I wish the hospital had given me an appointment with him.

I would NOT reccomend this practice. Extremely unprofessional and rude. I saw DRM Gilman and she was soooooooo rude. Basically told me I had to stop nursing my 6mth old because of the meds Im on (which are safe for nursing moms btw because my PCP specifically chose them because Im nursing) and tried to push her views on me about how Im raising my kids which literally have zero to do with my thyroid 🙄 if you value your health dont go here. She didnt explain anything at all. Sent me for bloodwork and then didnt even do everything and requesting more blood. Nope. I havent been to see endo for almost 7 months. Because this has literally scarred me. I would never wish the way they talk to ppl on my worst enemy.

Dr. Jackson is great and very responsive. I come in with questions after conducting my research and he is very helpful explaining treatment options and answering my questions. He is very kind and of course, knowledgable.

Sabrina Woods, NP is great. I dont know about others experiences, as reviewed, but Mrs. Woods seems to care and has a pleasant bed-side manner with me. Always responds intelligently to my questions or concerns. The reason this is not 5 stars is because of one of the practices nurses who erroneously gave me the wrong information one time about my thyroid medicine dosage. Other than that, I have never had a problem with the practice. The lab techs are great, too. And the billing department was gracious when I had a long overseas trip and accidentally overlooked a bill payment that was delayed getting to me.

They are quick to take all these test and give u all this medication but I still didnt my answers I was looking for. I have a bill from them that Im always calling to pay. but every single time I call their billing is only Tuesday and Wednesday at noon and all day Friday so Im calling them at 12:16pm and Im getting the voice mail saying they are not in the office and their hours are from 9-5 ! thats a joke and threatening to put my $33 payment in collections but I cant get a person on the phone to pay it. and their voicemail service sucks. they never reach back to you. but happy to send another bill. just a sad practice to do business with.

Aleen Gilman and her boss Della M.Collins were the worse of the worse. I waited 2 1/2 months for this appointment,I have a lump on my throat. The practicioner Aleen entered the room yelling. No hello,no Im am Aleen. She was ranting and mad at what she was reading about me on the computer. She asked me for paperwork and I told her I had the MRIs and CT scan on CDs she said that did not matter to her. She spoke over me like if she didnt understand the words coming out of my mouth. She said she didnt have anything to do with me. So I asked to speak with her boss and she was just as bad! Condesending and called me a liar. Because I told her that I was told to bring the CDs and she said no because we dont have the technology to read them! What?!Year 2019 and no way to read the patients results. So I will tell everyone that I can to Never go there if you value your health!

The only reason I came back after my first visit with dr. Gilman is because Sabrina stopped me before I left to consult with me. When I have had issues and requested to speak to the office manager she REFUSED to speak with me. What a poor practice .

This place has gone downhill at least for diabetic insulin pump patients since Sabrina Wood has left. She is still in the area if you want to go back to her.

Dr jackson was the worst doctor i have ever met. He is knowledgeable but also arrogant as if you should know what he is talking about. Maybe he gets tired of saying the same things over and over. I have a pituitary tumor. He told me i needed to look for a neurosurgeon. I ask if he could recommend one and he never answered me. He also said he would prescribe more synthoid medication for 30 days. But he did not. What is wrong with this man without any bedside manner. Why would the hospital set me an appt. With this doctor after getting out if the hospital.Wouldnt even talk to me during the exam. I ask questions but he would take a deep breath whenever i would ask a question as if he was annoyed.I will never recommend any one to that office.

If I could rate this place less than one star, Id do it. I saw Eileen Gilman one time. She lectured me all throughout my appointment. She literally faced the wall and talked to it during the 30 minutes she was with me. Apparently, the new lecture hall is Gilmans examination room. She was extremely unprofessional. She was condescending throughout the entire appointment. She assumed that I am an uneducated child because I am 20, which is definitely not true. I am going to be in med school in less than two years and have done quite a bit of my own research on my Graves disease. She did not address a single one of the concerns that I listed on my patient intake form. Ive been suffering from bad insomnia for the past 4 months, and she didnt say a single thing about it. I cant concentrate to save my life, she didnt address that problem either.Lastly, she literally said, and I sincerely wish I was joking, Youre heavy for someone with Graves disease. She said that in the first 3 minutes of my appointment with her, and then she told me to eat like I have gestational diabetes. Didnt explain anything else, or why it could possibly be happening. She literally just insulted me.All of that to say, DO NOT GO TO THIS PRACTICE!!! Eileen Gilman is an insulting, condescending, worthless excuse of a practitioner. I already have an appointment with a very good doctor at Sentara and am looking forward to leaving this practice.

The practice is horrible. All 3 endocrinologists lack bedside manner. They also accused me of not taking medication and claiming I am non compliant on my charts sent to other doctors. All Gilman focused on was diabetes (my blood sugar levels have always been more than acceptable and I do not have diabetes) while my thyroid function continued to decline in her care as she raised my medication but failed to switch it to any *ANY* other brand or even the brand name instead of generic. In the 6 months I went there my health worsened. My vision has deteriorated, my memory is shot (cannot remember what was for lunch yesterday or even dinner), my weight increased 50lbs with a 1200/cal diet low on carbohydrates.I have cried in their office begging them to try alternate methods or to please try different tests, different doctors but they instead accused me of lying about taking my medications. If I would have known 6 months of my life and health would be wasted going to this clinic I would have never went. I came in with high hopes and a PA who said she would help me get well again for my baby but it turned into an (expensive) nightmare.

They take forever to inform you of results from test and when you finally make contact with them, some nurse who barley speaks English gives you vague directions on your course of treatment.
