The quality of the work was excellent as recent high winds and rain tells me. The new skylight is beautiful and leak free. JOAT is not professional. They are not timely with their quoted timeframe, they are not accurate with their quotes, the owner Keno got an attitude with me often times on the phone when we had a strict deadline and he was not going to meet it. We had to keep track of finances personally and match against JOAT. They withhold work on house if payment by insurance company is not made (out of owners hands). Keno is a poor time manager and does not manage his sub contractors well (Schedules overlapping, not available, have to do one job before the other). We are 4 months into having full occupancy of our house and nails are already popping from the ceiling. We were an insurance claim from a tree falling on our house. We got an addition put on while the house was basically down to the studs. Also, they used our garage for months of construction work and some things went missing (although it was made right after we brought it to JOAT attention). I would never recommend JOAT or ever work with them again. We have full warranty on the house for a year, and its not even worth it to me to have them come back and fix. Please do not use JOAT. I wish I wouldve read the reviews on this company before getting into a huge insurance house claim with JOAT.Edited to add: I believe the company has my number blocked and has very poor communication with my husband who has tried to stay positive about this whole situation. Please do not use this company if you have any organization must-haves or timeframe for work to get done. It’s incredible that this company is still in business

I saw first hand the lack of response, inability to complete parts of the job on-time, delays without reason, and general inattentiveness to fixing followup problems. I also witnessed rude comments and actions from the company owner when asked for information and delivery.Perhaps small jobs can be done by MJOAT - but caution if you have a large repair or job.

My husband and I only have praises for Keno and the Jack of All Trades crews. They certainly live up to their company name. We had a new roof installed, a ceiling and wall repair due to prior roof leakage, soffit and fascia wrap and new gutters. Each installation/repair required different skills so involved different crews. From start to finish, each job was handled with total professionalism and genuine care for our home. Jack of All Trades exhibits “old fashioned” contractor integrity which is rare these days. They gave us reasonable estimates, quick turn around on scheduling and a great final product. My experience with Keno and his group was outstanding. One of his men was out the very next day after I called and helped with the insurance adjuster as my roof had been damaged from the recent storms. Keno also helped with the whole claim process which was amazing and took a lot off my 83 year old shoulders. What i love is that Keno is so positive and it shows with his workers and also with the work they do. My roof is gorgeous and now of course I will eventually need new siding to go with it. My Jack of All Trades is a terrific company. Did I mention they are a veteran-owned company? I saw a sign in a neighbors yard and decided to give them a call. I called 5-6 other companies before calling them, but Jack of All Trades was the only one that not only responded, but also showed when they said. The other companies either didnt call back, didnt show when they said or told us they were too busy to deal with a small leak. (It turns out our entire flat roof had to be replaced.)We were battling our insurance company about the leak and Jack of All Trades worked with us along the way. We ended up having to pay for the work ourselves, but this company was fantastic. They worked quickly and on short notice. It was a good thing the work was done promptly as the next day, the rainstorms begin to hit us. After the fantastic job on the roof, we asked them about installing a back-splash. The work on the roof was amazing, and so was the back-splash. The prices, responsiveness, and professionalism are what makes this company stand out above the rest. I highly recommend them.

My Jack of All Trades is super responsive and completed my home repairs (fascia and soffet) very quickly! The process was completely simple. I was scheduled for an assessment within a couple days of contacting them. My house was assessed as scheduled and repaired the next day. There were absolutely zero hassles or complications.

I called 6 flooring installers and heard back from 2 after already having another contractor completely flake on us. We went with Keano because he was friendly and responsive and Sway was thorough and knowledgeable. From the time I called until the job was done was a matter of days which was so important since our first contractor did not show up for the job and really put us behind schedule. When Sway’s crew came out to install flooring they were efficient, did excellent work listened to what I wanted, mannerly and professional. I received several quotes from various contractors. Jack of All Trades wasn’t the cheapest but they weren’t far off either. I decided to hire them because of it being ran by an Air Force Veteran and a brother in arms. It became a pretty wise choice. Weather wasn’t on our side but the continuous communication of the status of the start time was spectacular. I knew what was going on every step of the way. The size of the roof took the crew 2 days to complete. I honestly thought that it would take more time then that. They had it knocked out, cleaned up and perfect in the 2 days. There was one issue that caused us to lose heat for 2 days until we could get someone to properly repair it. The roofers punctured a pipe from the heat pump to the air handler. Technically it was their fault but unknowingly to them since it was under the plywood. Whoever installed the HVAC system originally had the pipe pressed up against the underside of the roof. After speaking to the boss and both of us understanding that it is but isn’t their fault. He didn’t hesitate to cover the cost of the repairs. Most contractors would argue and not want to cover it, not this company. They kept in contact and were concerned for the welfare of my family being without heat. I highly recommend this company to anyone. They have a great crew that is ran by great people. You don’t mean contractors these days that care more about the work, craftsman and homeowner like that do. Give them a call for any of your roofing needs.

If you’re a Hampton Roads homeowner shopping for quality siding work look no further than ‘My Jack of All Trades’. They were very helpful and willing to work with me knowing that I reside In NC. Visually the left side of my home looked like the vinyl siding was ripped, missing panels, and generally in disrepair. After the old siding was removed a major hidden structural framing deficiency was found at the home by the project manager Mr. Okeino which required the expertise of his framing crew. Mr. Okeino kept me apprised of the new siding progress and even sent me before, during, and job complete photos. I couldn’t be happier with how the new siding looks and I’m relieved to know that a major house damaging issue was repaired. Jack of All Trades provided me with a fair project cost as well as a very reasonable change order cost for the framing repair. Within days of my signing the contract Mr. Okeino and his crew were at my home making the repairs and tackling the project. I highly recommend Jack of All Trades for all your home projects and renovations. This is an honest, trustworthy company that will not gouge you of your hard earned money. I plan to use Mr. Okeino and his crew again for my laundry list of home projects.

After thumbtack(app) sent our info to Travis(MJoAT), he contacted me, I gave him the address, I dont live there so it was nice he was able to do the estimate without me there, no other company would do that. He left samples for the homeowner to look at, and sent me 3 estimates for the different level of sidings within 5 days. Then he waited patiently for us to go on vacation and get back to him. He told us when hed be there, he was, told us what hed do, he did, told us how long it would take, miraculously, he was on time, and done with little interference to the homeowner.
