Heard good things about Michael and Son and decided to have them as our second estimate to replace our HVAC. They came in a little bit higher than the business we use already, but they seem to have better quality products and a much better maintenance agreement. Very happy to have chosen them. The installers were excellent! Very professional, showed up when they promised and completed the work on time. They were very courteous and observed proper COVID measures. I cant say enough good about this place! Were very happy with our new system!

We had planned to have someone come check out our hvac units before winter just to be sure they were functioning properly, but one of them stopped working yesterday so we called to have that checked out instead. Emerson came out to our house and was able to diagnose and repair our hvac issue within an hour. We signed up for the maintenance package and feel confident should any other issues arise in the next year.

Technician came out when other companies technicians were not available till the next day. I was just so impressed with the quality service that I received from this team at Michael and Sons!! They were early today and took time to listen to my concerns. Then they were able to immediately diagnose the issue as to why my ceiling was leaking from the attic. Carlos and his assistant were great! Very thorough, quick installation of a new PVC pipe and then told me about there preferred customer program which I was able to enroll in. The program was very Affordable!! I absolutely dread calling repair companies due to past experiences, but these guys….HOLY COW! Not only was the price under what I expected, but also ended up getting the yearly membership to help throughout the year, which might I say, is incomparable! My technician David was polite, respectful, fast, efficient, everything you would expect & more! He answered EVERY single question, made sure EVERYTHING was up to par before he left, & he fixed my problem same day!! I will be calling these guys for everything I can without a single doubt!

Mostly Positive but one negative. The service was professional and the electrician (Darryll Schneider) was extremely knowledgeable. Honestly the electrician was a 10 out of a 10. I felt he practiced all health safeguards, explained everything before and after the service, worked with me on pricing to include sharing coupons from their website. My problems were resolved on the same visit. The only negative I had is pricing. It starts with the visit fee and then diagnostics. They are separate fees. The good news is their pricing structure rewards loyalty to add on services. Be prepared to pay more than the fee to just come out. If you can accept that then this is the right contractor for you. Again, I can not sing higher praise for the Electrician!!!!

I had a plumbing emergency that required the water to be turned off to the house. I started calling plumbing companies at approximately 3:35pm and most of them said they could not get someone out until at least the next day. Michael & Son was able to schedule a tech the same day. What was even better was that, while the initial appointment was set up for between 6pm and midnight, a tech contacted me at about 4pm and said he was on his way. Giorgio was professional and quickly completed the job. We had the water back on by 5pm. Michael & Son will definitely be the first company I call for any future plumbing needs.

The absolute worst! Asked them find and fix a plumbing leak upstairs that was leaking into downstairs kitchen ceiling. After their supposed repair, I had almost thousand dollars to repair ceiling. The day after the ceiling was fixed, the same place leaked into my kitchen. They would not cover the cost of the ceiling because they said “they didn’t cause it”. Their second attempt at repair, they put pipes in the wall that stuck out past the drywall in the adjacent living room wall that couldn’t be dry walled over. The third time, they came to move the pipe in the living room, but before they started, the pipes in the kitchen ceiling they had “fixed” leaked through the kitchen ceiling AGAIN!!!!!!! I will NEVER let them near me or anyone who knows me use this company ever again!!!! They ARE NOT a Better Business Bureau listing!!! No wonder!!!

My downstairs AC unit stopped blowing cold and ran constantly. I called them and the receptionist was very friendly and courteous. She was able to set me up with an appointment the same day just a few hours after I called.The technician, Emerson, arrived well within the time frame scheduled, and even called a half hour before he arrived to let me know he was almost here. He was also very friendly and courteous and was cracking jokes with me and had me laughing in no time. Great guy! He was able to figure out what was wrong in less than two minutes, a bad dual duty capacitor. He replaced it, and checked a few more things to ensure that was the only issue and had my house cooling down quickly.I highly recommend Michael & Son and would like to give a shout out again to Emerson for his fast, friendly service and for getting my A/C back up and running quickly! If I ever need A/C service in the future, I will ask for him by name.

My AC is fixed!! That’s all I called and asked for but they went above and beyond! I recently purchased this home, like two days ago. I am also pregnant. I was able to book an emergency visit the following day in the evening. At times the heat in my home was unbearable and I called to check the status. They answer the phone every time, everyone associate I spoke with was very helpful, they explained in detail, and even helped troubleshoot. I always saw Michael and Son vans around on the roads and I am so glad because that’s what prompted me to choose them in my google search. Great team and quality. The man that came an fixed my AC (obviously my favorite person) was so knowledgeable. He taught us things about our HVAC system that they don’t even teach you when you buy a home that are pretty significant pieces of information. He told us we have a hybrid system. He helped us understand what was wrong and what he’d need to do to fix it. Awesome experience, highly recommend, God bless them all!

Hired Michael and Son to address a extremely high water bill. Before appointment arrival, received photo of the technician as well as the bio of his expertise in plumbing prior to appointment, which was nice. Technician addressed and resolved the plumbing issue in a matter of minutes. I received videos as well as a report on what the issue was. Ill for sure use them in the future with my other properties.

I was very impressed by Darrylls friendly and professional demeanor during his service call to my home to install a timer and photo cell for my landscape lighting, He arrived on time, explained to me what had to be done and proceeded to install the new parts. I was grateful and pleased to learn that he went beyond his assigned task and removed a damaged gfci junction box and replaced it with a bubble cover. After the job was completed, Darryl explained what he had done and made sure that I knew how the system worked.

Our house in Norfolk has some crawlspace water issues after a heavy rain storm and damaged some duct work. Being that our system was nearing 20 years old I decided to swap it out from all electric to a gas package unit. This included running a new gas line, ripping out all of the duct work and setting a new package unit.Josh & Leo were the technicians who performed the removal and the installation. First and foremost, these guys spent 3 days under our house fixing it all. They were extremely professional, respectful, and good at what they do. Having two kids at home doing virtual school, they were also extremely respectful and patient with a 5 and 6 year old watching over them and asking questions and being kids. Employees like Josh and Leo are reasons why people keep coming back to a company/brand. Kudos fellas.After getting three different prices, M&S was the middle of the road and had the best financing option. 0% for 36 months was really kind of the main reason. One of the other three companies was nearly 12K more expensive so definitely make sure you get more than one or two estimates.I would definitely recommend these two guys from Michael & Sons to do your install. I dont know if you can request by name, but that is who Id go with again if I had my choice.

My Blower motor went bad on a weekend. I knew that was the problem but called them with the hopes they already had one and I could get a quick fix. I paid the extra service call $$$ and they didn’t have the part (100% on me). The customer service part with the technician was not a problem. The problem I have is that I received a quote saying it would be $2,000 to repair it including parts and labor. At first I thought they must of made a mistake but no, this was their quote. Now I know companies have to make money and you may pay extra for a part and of course the labor but that was ridiculous. Long story short….I ordered the OEM blower motor for $430 and I replaced it myself in 30 minutes. Easy as pie. Makes me wonder if they try and overcharge everyone! I mean especially since I already told the tech what the problem was and he just took 10 minutes to confirm it. Just my two sense and I’m not happy about it.

Grossly overpriced. Ceiling fan they installed fell from the ceiling almost hitting one of us. I wish I could give no stars.

We had Kyle come out from Michael and sons and give us an estimate of our water leak we had. He explained everything thoroughly, showed us pictures, and told us the proper solution to the problem. He kept all covid protocols in place. He was very flexible with our schedule. When he fixed the problem he showed us before and after pictures and was very thorough throughout the whole process. I would highly recommend Michael and sons especially Kyle for any services needed.

Our plumber, Jeff, arrived on time, assessed the issue reported, coordinated with our landlord for costs of the repair, and repaired our leaky faucet. He also diagnosed another issue with our sink, then checked and improved upon a previous repair to our shower. Very professional, will ask for this team if needed again.

I called about the bathroom fan which started smoking in the middle of the night. My service was done by Darryll Schneider and he went above and beyond on this call. The motor he first thought I needed was too small so he went back to the warehouse to get the right one. And he didnt take all day or get lost on the way. I appreciated him not rescheduling the appointment because the smoke really scared me and I was barely resting. On top of that he gave me valuable information about becoming a silver member without sounding like a used car salesman. He was just a joy to have service my home as Ive had bad experiences with other companies who try to man-splain without ever answering concerns. If they ever let me request a team member Id pick him.Update: I forgot to call out how much of a bonus it was to have a picture of the technician sent to me before my appointment. Brandon was the tech who came out and saved my power! We had attempted to do a ring camera install with another company who said we had an issue with our electrical and it knocked out our lights to half of our house. Brandon came out and got right to work and got it all fixed. He took his time and ensured everything was working and showed me what the issue was. I have no choice i sign up for their service and they damaged my ceiling and until now they have not fix it and its been 5 years.Dont use this company very unprofessional. We scheduled for 2 Pm and told them not to send big technician because they wont it in the access to attic. But still they send a big tech and waited another hour, what a waste of time.

I called to get a drain clog cleared, but to no fault of the plumber at all, it wasnt possible without extensive work. Lukasz was super informative and gave me an honest and thorough assessment of my system. I chose not have the repair performed at that time, but I did not feel at any point like I was being coerced to do so. I would 100% recommend using the his company after seeing the quality of plumbers they employ. Prices arent cheap, but quality work usually isnt.

When I scheduled the appt they said between 4-6pm. The guy called and showed up at 2:30pm which was great. Professional, friendly and knew what he was talking about. Inspected the crawl space. Found where my vent was torn and leaking air and even found a water drain leaking and videoed it to show me. Showed me pictures of the issues and gave me options to fix the problems. Was very straight forward, no gimmicks, no trying to sell up something I didnt need. I will definitely use them again

This company is way more expensive than others. They wont tell you until they come to your door. Dont use them. I have been charge almost three time more money than usual for my case. It took them one second for so called diagnosis and just told me it is bad which I already knew. They wanted to change even more to replace it and I refused.

I had my AC fixed back on July 1st and experienced issues again on August 28th and understood that was out of my 30 days to do a recall on the service. I called to setup an appointment and i’m here obviously frustrated that I’m in an 85 degree heat home and the issue is happening again so soon. The receptionist that answered was having extreme attitude with me. When I asked her to transfer me to another representative she hung up on me. They weren’t being very understanding of my frustration over the phone. On top of that, when asked to simply be switched to another rep she hung up the call. Will be making arrangements with another other heating & cooling company. The only reason I’m giving two stars is because the tech who came out the first time was very friendly. I had fantastic customer service the first time I called. This time was just horrible.

Called for the first time last week. Nothing got done because my main valve was stuck, but once the city shut it off, two gentlemen, Steven and Johnny, came out to help. It seems like no matter what curveball waited for them in my home, they had an answer. Very friendly, very informative, and very helpful. Columbia Gas found that we had a gas leak at our meter then when pressure testing found we had a couple more leaks in our gas lines. Called Michael & sons and Joe Creasey came out, found and repaired the gas leaks in that nasty, misty rain with nothing but professionalism. Average price for area was1400, Michaels said 2400!Person said it was 1000 to replace a value. I felt I was getting ripped off because I need a hot water heater. Person also said they were a large company, for reason why price was high. A-1 sewer and drain, did everything the next day for 1500.

Had new heat pump/AC system plus air hander installed replacing older unit. Technicians were courteous and professional. Completely finished removal and install within 3 hours. Went over all operation instructions and cleaned up everything. Great job!

I have a well pump issue. I was charged $357.50 to tell me my well pump tank was bad. I was quoted $1750.00 on top of the $357.50 to replace it. I asked how much the 20 gal tank was. I was told $300. Lowe’s has the tank for $150. This company is too costly. I thought I was calling a local independent plumber. All prices are set by the company. Check around. I wouldn’t refer anyone to this company.

The service man Orion was very quick, pleasant and respectful and got the job done without any problems. He kept me abreast of what he was doing and I truly appreciate his work. I will definitely recommend Michael and Sons after this experience.

First, he called and confirmed address ect but then ASKED WHERE ID LIKE HIM TO PARK! Ok, off to a good start. He looked at my system and initially thought the condenser was the problem. After some more testing, he determined, it was just a lose wire. Now, I FEEL like there was an opportunity for him to overcharge for unnecessary stuff. He didnt !! He was very honest and upfront with everything that needed to be done and gave some recommendations for down the road things to consider. I will absolutely be using Michael and Son in the future! I had Michael and Sons come out to provide me an estimate to replace my main water line from the water meter to the house. They are a big company that looks to take advantage of the homeowners that are not knowledgeable. It is an embarrassment that a large company like this needs to try and up sell homeowners and take advantage of their ignorance when all they need to do is provide a fair estimate for their service and their workmanship and price should in itself allow company to make a profit while providing a service to a customer. I am extremely knowledgeable and capable of doing the job myself but with a 10 month old son don’t have the time to replace my main water line. Thinking it’s worth hiring a babysitter for a day and do the job myself. I promised myself’s I would never entertain a big company but since the natural gas company damaged my line when replacing theirs they said I needed a licensed and insured plumber. For a coat of $7,200 for a 30’ MAX water line that is insane.
