My second visit here. I got a full color this time. Honestly, I didnt really come in with a plan, but with Glorias help she guided me to one. Shes very professional and friendly. I love how my hair came out!! Highly recommend, they know how to take care of curly hair.

Kathryn was my stylist for the Devacurl haircut/transformation service I came in for. Aside from a little scheduling snaffu which had me down for just the transformation and not the cut, Kathryn was still able to fit my cut into the service. She provided really good advice on how to care for my curls as well as step by step points on recreating my curls after washing. Products purchased were the Curlista sulfate free shampoo, conditioner and curl lotion a bit pricey but when you buy at the salon you guarantee your getting the product your buying. Going back for touch up in 3 months

Had the whole family in for haircuts today with Gloria. First was my son for his first ever haircut, he has extremely curly hair, and is a wiggly wild boy. I was so scared to cut his curls. Gloria cut them perfectly. The cut is so even and his curls just got curlier! She taught me how to treat his hair, as I don’t have any experience with curls like his, and he left there with a huge smile on his face! Next was my daughter who was so nervous, as her last haircut experience at a chain salon was not so fun. Gloria did a gorgeous cut and my daughter left there feeling like a movie star! My cut was last. I have always had what I felt like was a grandiose idea for my “perfect cut”. I have always taken the same picture from some Pinterest post to hairdressers and have gotten several different varieties of unflattering bowl cuts and Karen cuts. Today Gloria gave me the PERFECT CUT! It is to the T exactly what I wanted. It’s so beautiful. And so are my babies! She took such good care of us all! She is an amazingly gifted stylist. The salon was clean, everyone was friendly and we had a very good experience. I cannot wait to return to see Gloria!

My hair stylist Gloria was fabulous!!! I asked for the Covid Cut... as I havent had my haircut in over 6 months. She turned my waves into curls and gave me a few tips on how to manage the curls better. I will be back. I highly recommend Gloria. A big thank you to Jasmine and the manager at MUSE Salon!!!!

Katt was absolutely amazing ! She explained everything she was doing step by step which made me feel so comfortable. I allowed her to have free reign on my haircut because it’s been so long and she exceeded my expectations and told me how to get my hair back healthy.

Kathryn was great, and very quick, especially considering I had a LOT to cut off (but she still did amazing work!). I have wavy to curly hair, and she was extremely knowledgeable about how to handle it. This was my first curly specific cut, and I was very pleased and will definitely be back. No doubt Kathy is the best at cutting and styling curly hair. Not only does she take the time to listen to your hair experience, she always has tricks of the trade to share. She continuously seeks the latest of styling products, procedures and overall good hair health. Additionally, Muse Salon creates such a wonderful experience. Kathryn (Kat) is excellent. I followed her from her prior employment even though Muse is much further away. She has all the up to date techniques regardless of your hair type. She takes the time to go over any hair issues and makes sure what you want BEFORE chopping. Kat is very friendly and the Muse Salon staff is so nice (and they have the best coffee in town) or a nice glass of wine or mimosa, depending on your taste.

If you have wavy or curly hair, or are even not sure if you have some curl to your hair, this is the place to go! These guys are pros! I am a retired stylist myself but they know more about curly hair than I do and I have curly hair! They do an amazing job with the cut and never fail to have an answer when my curls start misbehaving and I need some advice. And yes! Even a stylist sometimes needs advice! I highly recommend Muse as I have seen a LOT of other hairstylists work and these ladies are some of the best! They Care about the clients hair, and not just selling or upcharging. Kathy is the only non-tier 1 Deva Cut stylist between here and Richmond, so I didnt know how much of her time to expect, but she really took the time to talk me through what she was doing and why. She did a phenomenal job working with me to figure out what I wanted and what my hair needed and how to make that happen.She wasnt pushy about selling me the in-store products and was thoughtful enough to write down the routine so I can replicate it at home. Arrived early. Waited in my car for them to call. Never called and the stylist left. I asked the receptionist to call her and ask her to come back. Receptionist said the stylist didnt answer. I sat in my car 40 minutes. BS!

First things first I have been terrified of getting my hair cut for over a year now. I have extremely curly hair and haven’t had a good haircut in many many years. I am so glad I found this place! Ive now been to Muse twice, and I only wish I had discovered them sooner. Like many curly girls, Ive had more disappointing haircuts than I can count, but since I started going to Kathy, I have been happier with my hair then ever. The first time I went was just to shape my hair up before my wedding, and while I was there she explained to me why using the Curly Girl method is so important and what types of products would be best for my hair. That knowledge helped me radically improve my hair situation in the following months. The second time I went I wanted something more dramatic and asked her to cut off around 8 inches. Despite my fears of looking like Little Orphan Annie after chopping so much off, she knocked it out of the park again. I couldnt be happier with my new -do, and would recommend Muse Salon (and Kathy!) to anyone with curly hair.

My first Deva cut! Thank you Katt for a great experience! She was very knowledgeable and was careful not to take too much off the ends because of my shrinkage. The Deva curl products make my hair feel fluffy without the stiffness over conditioning of some oily products out there. Will put at more pictures tomorrow when the curls are POPPING!

I was nervous but said sure lets do it tonight.Chrissy was very reassuring, and I felt very comfortable, we struck up a conversation almost at once. She took her time even though it was almost the end of her shift, and didnt have to. I have never been so pleased with the entire visit and of course I will be going back to see her. When I call most salons and ask if they have anyone who specializes in curly hair the answer is often, we can all cut curly hair which is not the response I am looking for. This salon truly understands curly hair and they are all curl experts. During my last visit half the salon was full of curly haired clients. I would recommend this salon for curly people in a heartbeat.

My wife and I have gone here for about 3 years, and have always enjoyed the experience. Weve only gone for haircuts, where they wash your hair, but and style. The staff is very professional and very courteous. Weve only experience half the staff, as when we found our perfect saloonist, we scheduled appointments with them from then on. If they werent available, we had no problems going with anyone else. I believe all the staff are trained at the same school, so you get a standard across the board.

I have coming to muse salon for years. It is awesome for all types of hair from straight to wavy, curly. The amstophere is friendly and they listen to each customer needs and want for look they look for. My kids are now 25 and 20 they both really curly hair. That is where they like to get hair cut and styled.

This was my first time at Muse Salon and my first deva cut. My stylist was Kathy Ehler. She was wonderful!!! And my age appropriate purple color is just what I wanted!! After checking in, I waited 30 minutes past my appt time. Finally asked one of the other stylists if Kathy was even in the salon.... yep, she was in the back doing someone else’s hair. No apology, nothing from receptionist. Never even met Kathy who I was referred to me by a friend. I am from out of town and travel here for business every 2 weeks. I was hoping she’d become my new hairstylist. Waited 2 months for the appointment. I tip my professionals very well, like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman, “Mistake, big mistake, huge”. Pitiful.

I had a great visit with Kathy. Kathy was able transform my hair into beautiful, defined coils. It was also my first time getting highlights or any coloring, and we were able to achieve a warm blonde on my dark brown hair. I learned a lot from the visit and I expect my hair will continue to improve with Kathys advice. I would recommend her to anyone.

Im new to the area. Have naturally (Latina) curly hair. Was nervous finding a salon that could do my hair. I found the salon through a diva curl site. Made an appointment with Katt and my curls have never look the better! She did touch up on my roots and the color matched perfectly! Staff is friendly too.

My appointment at 6 pm. Went to there at 5:50; waited until 6:15 still it being taken care of and all of them are busy. If I still have to wait that long with an appointment, what’s the point to make an appointment? So disappointed.

I walked in with a mountain of frizz, color damaged and very mistreated hair. I sat in Katt’s chair, she looked at my hair I gave her my goals and showed her pics of inspiration and she nailed it. She explained everything she was doing, what products she was using and why she used them. I walked away informed and enlightened. I’m very hands on with my hair since going natural 9years ago... so it’s difficult finding somewhere and someone that works with my hair texture and can teach me how to care better for my curls and being out the best in each tress!
