I moved a family member into this community recently and couldnt be happier with the decision. From the beginning of the process the sales lady listened to my story and was very thorough and thoughtful with helping us to make the right decision. The gentleman who runs the building cared enough to not only come in and sit with us while I was there but he also called me the next day. Since weve been there we have had a couple challenges but they were all addressed immediately and satisfactory. From top to bottom all staff have been very caring and we couldnt be happier with our decision.

After researching 12 other memory care centers, Symphony at Cherry Hill was our choice. The were many reasons for our choice: building is new, rooms are large with a lot of light plus every room (has some sort of view) the enclosed patio gardens, PT and occupational therapy, a hair salon, great food, a chef who works very closely with you ( I was envious of the meals many times) As a RN with 35+ years experience I can be very critical of care. I have nothing but the highest praise for the all of the staff who either took care of my mother or had interactions with her. Not everything always goes according to plan but if you contact them you usual got a response within minutes. I could go on and on but to make it perfectly clear if I ever needed a memory center I hope my children would choose Symphony @ Cherry Hill for my placement. We are so appreciate of the care my mother received

After reviewing & interviewing many Philly-area & South Jersey facilities, we selected Symphony at Cherry Hill for their location, cleanliness, resident offerings (beauty salon, monthly themed events/experiences, daily activities including concerts, crafts, games, etc), and the attentiveness of staff & ratio of staff to residents. The staff took great care of our family member, made significant efforts to connect with her & cater to her social & dietary preferences. Our family member needed a lot of time to transition to the facility but we expected that & that was not the fault of the staff at all as they put in significant work to integrate her into a new place after removing her from her home of 64+ years. Anytime there was a miscommunication about care needs or a hiccup in the transition process- the staff reacted immediately to take corrective action & followed-up to let us know that changes had occurred. We could see the honesty & transparency that Symphony brings to the care of residents which is something we valued highly when selecting a memory care facility. Would highly recommend Symphony to families needing a memory care facility for a loved one!

My mother was one of the first residents to move in. Many promises were made by James when the facility opened, most were not kept. So far the new regime has brought positive change. Have I had to go in and handle issues? Yes! But the new team appears to be more responsive. Keeping my fingers crossed for positive change to continue.

Symphony at Cherry Hill was my dads first home away from his home and while the transition took some time, he was happy there for just over a year. Its an absolutely beautiful building and there are some truly incredible people who work there (Kyonia is simply the best!). While there have been some ups and downs during his time there and I ultimately chose to move my dad elsewhere, I would recommend Symphony overall. In speaking with the new executive director, Wes, a few different times, I truly believe they are trending in an upwards direction and have lots of good things in store for the future.

Facility is well run. Staff is attentive and caring. Memory Care is challenging and rewarding. Symphony’s residents require special considerations, and the skilled, compassionate care providers, go over and above to provide this. The nursing team, Rebekah, the acting DON and her staff are ALWAYS available with informative patient review and updates. The receptionist Kyonia is pleasant, helpful and appropriate when receiving guests in the main lobby of the building. The facility, is the ONLY facility in Camden County, that has not had a case of COVID-19 with the staff or residents. The business manager, Tiffany, is wonderful very very helpful and always always available to give an enlightening experience.FYI: I am a visiting hospice nurse.

My husband has been here for almost 1 year. Before Covid I was so comfortable with Symphony. Once Covid hit and everything closed down I felt very comfortable knowing that my husbands second family was taking care of him. If he was anxious they would FaceTime me so He could talk to me. I can not express my gratitude to the tremendous staff. When you walk in it all starts with a greeting from Kiki, she always addresses me by first name and I am sure she does this with all visitors, she makes you feel like you are the most important visitor that day. Then the 1st person I seek out is Nikki, this nurse has the patience of a saint. She is a god sent for my husband and I see her treat every resident this way. Maria, Carmen and The Whole activities dept are A plus. Little bit and The girls who Keep the place in beautiful shape as well as the girls who does my husbands wash, they are awesome. I do not know everyone’s names but thank you 1 and all.

This community is the perfect size for hands on memory support services. They provide personal touches to the residents by getting to know them prior to the disease process and developing activities that benefit the resident. They work to provide purpose and meaning in that moment to improve the quality of life for their residents. Great job team Cherry Hill!

It is with great joy that I will be returning as Memory Support Director at Symphony. Due to an unexpected change I had to leave my position with the company in 2019. I am anxiously looking forward to continuing my journey with such an amazing team of professionals. The leadership at Symphony exemplifies compassion and values great work ethics. I can honestly say the word “Team” could not stand stronger, in any other organization. I am happy to be back home and I look forward to working with a company where Excellence is their primary goal!!

Always Best Care Senior Services of Greater South Jersey had the gracious opportunity to work with Symphony at Cherry Hill to help take care of their residents. When Tracy McKinley reached out to us, we were more than delighted to have an opportunity to work with the team at Symphony. We have worked along with the staff at Symphony to make sure all of their residents were safe during the current pandemic. Rebekah and her nursing staff as well as everyone at Symphony have only been a pleasure to work with. We look forward to working with Symphony in the future and would like to thank everyone at Symphony for this opportunity.

What can I say, we have the BEST team at Symphony at Cherry Hill. From being greeted when you first walk in by Kyonia & Sidney, to our nurses, med techs, and care partners going above and beyond for the residents, the culinary staff ensuring everyone is fed a great meal, housekeeping making sure we’re in a beautiful clean community, to programming keeping our residents engaged. Everyone has risen above the pandemic to make sure our residents continue their day to day as if nothing has changed and do it with love and care every single day. I value each and every team member for all their hard work day in and day out.

It’s amazing how things work out. When my mother moved into Symphony in May of 2019, we were anxious about dealing with an extended “learning curve”......but it just didn’t happen. My mom was comfortable right away with the entire team at Symphony and it is fantastic to see those same people keeping things rolling in these crazy times. I would really like to thank Maria’s team along with Al, in keeping the window visits and outdoor visits scheduled and organized. They do an amazing job juggling families, residents, and busy schedules. I am thankful every day for the staff at Symphony who have made a really tough situation more than manageable!

Everyone in the building pitches in, and you see the care and passion with the entire staff. The decision to move my mother into Symphony during a global pandemic was not an easy one. We knew my mother had reached the point that she needed expert care and after meeting with Tracy, we knew Symphony was a perfect fit, but worrying about Covid 19 and not being able to be with my mother in the facility made the decision a complicated one. Tracy and Jim introduced my family to Symphony and all that it has to offer it’s residents and they also shared their very strict Covid 19 policies. Tracy helped us plan for a move-in time and offered so much support and advice to make it a smooth transition for my mother. We are so grateful for the time and the specialized care that Tracy and Jim took to get to know our family and my mom prior to move in. My mother has been at Symphony for two weeks and is adjusting well. We have had good communication from the team and Rebekah, my mom’s nurse, has been very honest and genuinely interested in learning about my mother. The team has been kind, compassionate and supportive as my mom and our family adjusts to this new life change. We are pleased to say we have had a few outside porch visits with my mom. Maria, the memory care coordinator, has been great about scheduling and helping during the visits. We have also stayed in contact with phone calls and our mom has seemed happy and well! She is making friends, eating wonderful food and getting excellent care. We are very grateful to the whole Symphony team for all they are doing to keep residents safe, happy, and healthy!

My mother has been living at Symphony for the past three months. There are many exceptional things going on at Symphony and we are very happy she is living there. Our family has peace of mind that she is safe and well cared for. My family and I were looking for loving, kind and knowledgeable nurses, care partners, med techs, activities assistants and facility employees. We are very pleased with the interactions between my mom and all of these staff members. Each person, regardless of their position, takes the time to interact and care for my mom. They joke and laugh with her and know how to care for her in a compassionate way. Seeing her smile and laugh is very comforting to us. The OT and PT services provided are exceptional and we are addressing my mother’s needs in a thoughtful manner. In addition, the administrative staff is always available to speak with us and to assist in any way possible. We were able to have a very smooth transition when she moved to Symphony due to all of the attention provided to us. We are very pleased.

Tracy and Morgan were great to work with and the facility, which just opened recently, is stunning. From the moment we walked in the door and were greeted by the receptionist we knew it was going to be perfect. Morgan gave us our tour. Tracy was doing another tour at the time, but immediately came over to say hi. Move-in day was Wednesday and it all went perfectly.

The director of recreation does not have a TR (Therapeutic Recreation) background, how do they expects their residents not to decline if they do not provide proper therapeutic recreation to their community. The facility is nice, but they do not utilize their space to create leveled programming, their programs do not start on time, and staff will choose to skip a program if they did not prepare for it. They have an amazing iN2L set up that they never utilize and when they do it’s not in an interactive manner. This place started with a lot of promise, but when the director was promoted before the place even opened and the first recreation director had to leave, I believe it has gone in the opposite direction of what was promised. We were promised staff phone activity on the floor was prohibited, but that was too good to be good. It’s a fancy place and I think they are only interested in high functioning residents and if they want their residents to stay high functioning then provide TR programming and not parties centered around consuming food.

Symhony is not setup to care for residents with Dementia. At the first sign of bad day, or a behavior issue, they will send the resident to the hospital, or will kick you out of the community altogether with no warning. It’s essentially an assisted living community with locked doors and “memory support”, so if your loved ones has dementia and is not high functioning, I would look somewhere else. The Director is Wellness is severely under qualified, and the staff has turned over several times in less than a year. Symphony’s only concern is making money, and by calling themselves an Assisted Living Community with Memory Support, they are able to charge their residents even more.
