Whether it be picking up medications or waiting for a vaccination, you can rest assured that you will be waiting much longer than anticipated. Need a refill? Get in the line that starts half way down the aisle. Need a flu shot and already have an appointment? Wait over an hour in our cramped waiting room. The people are nice; their system and company are awful.

Had a flu shot appointment at 10:30 and ended up waiting over an hour. Really annoying they need to fix their system.

Not my favorite pharmacy. Getting refills is sometimes hard and confusing and I usually have to call to remind them about getting a new prescription filled that my doctor sent.

I often have issues with wait times here but usually its for something not too important so I have let it go in the past, but this time I went to urgent care because of a really bad asthma flare up and they called in steroids for me to take. The doctor said they should be in and ready for me, and that was almost two hours ago. I have called and gone in and just keep getting told to wait. I am pretty frustrated because Im sitting here with difficulty breathing and being made to wait as if Im just coming in for birth control or something. I dont get it. I told them it was very important and explained why. She then asked if Id rather have the perscription filled tomorrow. Like, no, this is kind of a pressing issue.Previously Ive had staff here fill the perscription in front of me when it wasnt important, and the one time it is this seems to be out of the question. I dont expect them to fill it in front of me and I think 30 minutes is a fine amount of time to wait, but Im tired of calling every 30 minutes to be told it will be done in 15 and then its not. Why not just say, sorry we are packed we will text you ASAP? This is the final straw for me. Ive heard good things about BiMarts pharmacy so Im going to give them a try.

Very very poor unprofessional I think illegal practice! Not only do they not have medications stocked (have had to wait days for a prescription to be filled) but they also transferred my meds to a completely new store that I have never used nor ever requested for it to be transferred. I would recommend using owls pharmacy if needing a local cheney pharmacy. If I could I would give a negative rating.

Like others have said, the technicians are amiable but the pharmacist is snide, condescending, and just plain cold. If there is ever a time you need help other than strictly getting a prescription filled, like questions or contacting doctors etc, do not expect anything beyond a snippy remark. Ive experienced getting the wrong medication ordered, not having my prescription ready, and a general inability or refusal to be accommodating. which you would think your pharmacy would have...

Gave them my number and requested I get texts and no phone calls. Requested AGAIN to not get phone calls. Will have to ask them a third time to only give me notifications my meds are ready by text when I go in again. Took 80 minutes to get meds when I was told 30, and this was already 30 minutes after they had been sent the prescription.

I would give them 0 stars if possible, I have used many Safeway Pharmacies and have been fully satisfied in the past. The pharmacist is extremely rude every time I went to the pharmacy and is inept at her job and will make you continue to come up and ask if your prescription is ready even if you are the only one there, standing there waiting the whole time. Also, forget about ever getting refilled prescriptions, because they never answer the phone and just let it ring forever! I have honestly never had such a repeated negative experience with a pharmacy.

Medications arent ready when they say they will be, & they almost never fill Rx sent electronically by my Dr without me calling to remind/press them to fill it. Most of my interactions with staff have also been poor. The pharmacist woman with blonde hair is rude, snide, & unhelpful to say the least.

This pharmacy is our go to for any and all meds. If we moved away from Cheney, Id still willingly travel to them for my meds. The whole staff is super sweet and accommodating. From meds to flu shots, they know what theyre doing and I want to commend them all for fantastic customer service. Big thumbs up to Gerri, Tommy, and Rachelle (I may have spelled that wrong?), as theyre the ones I deal with most, but everyone there is phenomenal. With how hard it is to find people who are decent in dealing with customers, these guys are keepers. Theyre more than decent, theyre amazing.

I had a surgery coming up and my nurse sent my prescriptions here about 2 weeks prior to my surgery. I live a couple hrs away and was going to pick them up when I was back in town for my surgery. I went there first thing in the morning and they said they didnt receive my order. Two of my medications I need to take prior to surgery. I called my drs office and they confirmed they sent it, so they called the Safeway pharmacy and argued with them. I went back to the pharmacy to ask if they got it yet and they said oh yeah they just didnt see it in their system because they only searched orders from that current day. Told me itd take a half hr and I could just come back. So I told them Id come back on my way to surgery later that day. I go back and a lady asks, Did they tell you we didnt have everything? (I didnt even know what all was in my prescription, but apparently I was supposed to have 3 different things). She said they didnt have the anti nausea patch, which I needed before surgery and said theyd have to order it. They gave me a bag that was supposed to be the rest of my prescription, I found out after I left it only included anti nausea pills for after surgery. I now have no time to run all over town trying to find a place that had that patch (no one else in Cheney had it). They could have at least called to notify me while I still had time. I open my bag on the way to surgery and I see I dont have my antibiotics either, which I also needed before surgery.....I go to my surgery scared Im going to have to cancel or have issues, but the nurse told me they would give me something else. I dont know why the pharmacy for some reason failed to fill my antibiotics or even mention it. So I had to wait longer for my surgery while I received an antibiotic through IV. The nurse called and argued with them again, angry by their excuses and inability to fill a simple order when they had 2 weeks. After surgery I go back to get my antibiotics (I still need them after surgery) and pain meds, I drop off the pain med prescription and the pharmacist starts asking me all these questions about where I live and then asking if I used to live in a different city (which I didnt). It was weird and his tone was rude. I finally get my prescriptions and talk to the pharmacist about issues I was having with them failing to fill my prescriptions, then not even notifying me when they didnt have one in stock so I could find it elsewhere because I told them I needed it for surgery that day. They argued that they dont have time to call everyone if they dont have something. I said youd think a pharmacy would notify someone when they say theyll have a prescription filled, but find out that cant, especially since I told them I was having surgery that day. They kept arguing and making excuses so I left frustrated with absolutely ridiculously terrible customer service..... couple weeks after surgery I got a curtousy call letting me know they had my prescription ready for pickup.........the anti nausea patch I told them I needed before surgery, for some reason they decided to order it anyway, even though I obviously dont need it anymore, unless itll help take the edge off if I ever have to deal with this pharmacy again.

This is by far the worst pharmacy I have dealt with. After dropping off a prescription at 12:45 and walking around the store for the usual 30 minutes I am told that my prescription cannot be filled due to some phone system issue, resulting in the inability to get whatever data is needed from the insurance company to fulfill the prescription that was already confirmed by the pharmacist herself. Ok, no worries I live locally. I am told that this will be filled same day and I will receive a phone call, which is knew I 100% would not be receiving. I have been told on four different occasions I would receive a call and I have never received one. Also fine, its expected at this point. So of course, I call the pharmacy from 4:45 until 5:45 because I already know that before I drive back down there they are not going to have my prescription filled because I am not standing in front of them. When you call them and they send you to voicemail (which they always do) the voicemail system does not actually allow you to leave a voicemail as it cuts you by the time you have said your name and asks would you like to send this message. So of course you can see the circular nature of this. So I will have to drive down there, add to the already ridiculous line of people on a week night at the 6pm hour to be treated rudely from an overworked staff member, to be told that my prescription is not ready due to high volume of prescriptions that they are miraculously filling even though the system is supposed to be down, they will tell me they are very sorry which does not help me at all.So to however runs Safeway pharmacy I am going to give some free advice as how to fix this circular issue, are you ready?#1 Staff your department correctly! Its very very simple, you have someone who does nothing but answer phone calls Mon -Fri 4pm- 7pm to check and see if prescriptions are ready for pick up, freeing up the actual pharmacists to do there important job. I assure you the cost for this is far less than you lose by pissing people off.#2 Get your ridiculous systems (phones, internet for CC swipes) to actually work correctly for once. Your systems go down bi monthly, I know as I shop there once every week.#3 If your going to have a messaging service, have it actually allow people to leave a message. 5 seconds does not a message make.#4 If you ever say your going to call someone back, actually do it. Nothing is more irritating than to be told that you will receive a call for your convenience and not have that call happen. I would rather you tell me that my business does not matter to you and just to come back the next day, at least that would be honest.I assure you if you were to do these very remedial things you will have 80% less people standing at your counter irritated and frustrated, treating your staff rudely and rightfully so. You will have a happier staff who is not constantly being yelled at for things out of their control. You will have less people like me willing to sit for ten minutes and write reviews like this due to how marginalized they have been made to feel. Its this thing called doing good business. You should try it sometime.(Update) so I drove down to Safeway and low and behold a line of 13 people, that took another 37 minutes. Upon getting to the counter the lady sees my face and says did no one call you? No YOU did not call me, not someone else, YOU. All to find out this was due to them attempting to save me $11 because they could not reach my insurer? Are you kidding me? How about you offer me the first time Im there the option to pay in cash. That would have saved me over an hour, you a frustrated employee and Safeway a customer who averages $100 per week 52 weeks a year. Bye bye Safeway.

I moved out to Cheney a little more than a year ago and my only complaint has been this pharmacy, which is the only one in town that takes my medical. It on average takes a whole day to get a new prescription filled because they either lose the information because their system is down or like today when my little sister needed an anti nausea medication filled, they just didnt bother to fill the prescription until my sister called four hours after they received it from the doctors office, and then it took them 30 minutes to fill it!
