I have never seen such rude and uncompassionate nurses. Not only the nurses but the staff are just as rude. They rather believe their nurse that lies to the patient and discharge them than listen to what the patient wants. You should be ashamed of yourselves. You get in the field for the compassion for helping people but I guess not through the vna.

Sherry the nurse is phenomenal!!!! But a hold of this company is horrible! It says it’s a 24 hr company however when called they close at 4?!?! I couldn’t even leave a message with the operator because it couldn’t record anything!!! Also having a nurse come on a Friday for a IV infusion and having NO ONE call the day before or even that day to indicate what time they are planning on coming over is absolutely ridiculous!!!! We shouldn’t have to WAIT and WASTE a whole day for a nurse!

Sherry is a wonderful nurse! she was very patient, got me a butterfly needle, and took my blood is a vast manner. However im very disappointed in getting a hold of this company! it says its a 24 hr company but apparently they close at 4pm with not being able to talk to a switchboard operator after 4. its very frustrating waiting for this company to call me when i have treatments scheduled and dont even know what time they are plsnning on coming over! What a waste of a day waiting for a nurse

Related to a complete knee revision. When I had an evaluation by the VNA I was not told they were Out of Network by my provider. They are now billing me $519 for coming 5 times for PT at .5 hour each time. I would have made other arrangements had I been informed. Not happy. The quality of the in home PT was just average, I really did not make much progress compared to in patient rehab that would have cost me 0, but that is another story. Unfortunately you must ask a lot of questions. As of 2/18/20 a call to the billing department of the VNA, Western NY has accomplished a resolution to this issue and I am now satisfied with them.

In the past few weeks, I have left three voicemails for Sandy (agency’s “care coordinator”) regarding my father, whom was recently their patient. I hope their clinical staff was more competent than their administration staff. Live and learn.

Extremely unprofessional. Nurse removed her mask in my home and then the manager was extremely rude when I called and cancelled services. The manager also called my physician and lied about why I wanted to cancel.

Never discharged me. They want to come 2 days a week when I had appointments almost 3 times a week. Very forceful. I finally kicked them to the curb. However the RN that came 1st was very efficent. Will be calling VNA top executives about this manner. Had Better care from Catholic Health System home care.

I had my first visit for a bandage change today. Clearly the lady didnt know how to wrap my profore bandages correctly. The edges of them are peeling already. She didnt wrap the compression layer correctly either. They usually wrap gauze around my toes to keep dog hair out, and she didnt tape it properly so it fell off. I had to rewrap them myself and find socks to fit over them. And the heel on one foot wasnt even covered with the top layer. Hopefully the last who comes Wednesday knows what shes doing. I go two days between bandage changes. They need to be wrapped right!

Have had 2 nurses... total of 5 times and 1 PT..... total of 3 times in the last 2 wks. I did have to cancel once on both. I still cant figure out what all 3 nurses are even doing here. I was told on the phone before beginning that they would offer some level of help which I definitely needed last week after 2 wks in the hospital with pneumonia and blood clot in my lung. I also am recovering from 2 knee replacements.. one just 4 wks ago. Both nurses spend the entire time..EVERY TIME.. about 30 minutes asking me medical questions.... often the same questions over and over. Then I sign their little ipad and they leave. I needed help on day one putting a powder on and the nurse handed it back to me and suggested i do it.THE PT spends 15 to 20 minutes talking and making entries on his tablet, then might show me 1 ....or 2 exercises and on 2 days actually walked around the house with me for about 5 minutes. Then we go back and sit down and he does he departing documentation for 5 or 10 minutes.i was told it all had to be done before he left the house..... if true, its a big waste of time.Last week, he pushed my knee back so far that it is still sore. I really dont think he has accomplished much of anything with me. Then, yesterday the PT called to say hed be here Friday and it would be his last day because Im doing so well. ???Made me so angry that everyone else is getting kicked to the curb tomorrow. No help is no worse than this.

I had 2 hip replacements, and both times this company was assigned to check on me after being discharged from the hospital. My first visit went great. The next morning, i explained to the nurse over the phone that i felt great and didnt need any further visits. He says he has to come by to have me sign discharge paperwork. I allow him to come, i sign an iPad that he explains to me is the discharge form. Although he doesnt show me what exactly im signing. Turns out they billed me for a visit on the second day. I explained this to his direct supervisor and she said i shouldnt have let him in the house and that the form i signed was concent for him to to a medical workup. She also says that he did a medical work up, which was never done on me. I would urge anyone reading this, ask questions... ask to see what you are signing.. if something doesnt sound right, im betting its because it isnt. This company, in my opinion is their soley to rack up visits and bill you/insurance. just be careful. I hope this helps.

This place - Niagara County branch - treated my in-laws poorly. Almost less than useless. Sure someone can have a good experience with the right person but the organization itself provides low level service. Money grab!! Find someplace else to care for your loved ones. We are still looking.

The RNs were rude and NOT helpful AT ALL. Instead, they were condescending, snotty and frankly, NOT doing their job.We had to go to Quest to get the blood draw the dr ordered since the FOUR RNs that showed up didnt put it though. VNA wouldnt even give us a urine cup to get a sample ordered by the dr.As for their team , not ONE who showed up knew any details from the others. Not many people can take care of their loved one at home and those that DO certainly dont need the negativity and rudeness displayed by these RNs. ( The DISCHARGE person did complete look over my patient and told us we were doing FANTASTIC so there was no neglect on our part)Maybe these senior RNs could take a class on compassion and support.Ive used VNA before and had none of these issues but I certainly will use a different avenue should we need VNA again.
