My wife has been out of her immune suppressant meds now for three days SHE IS AT RIS)K OF DYING AND THEY WONT HELP!!!!I REACHED OUT TO HEATHER and they wont help her unless the doctor fills out the application WHAT PART OF URGENT NEED DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND THE MONEY IS DONATED TO THE PEOPLE THAT NEED IT TO LIVE....BUT THEY ARE NOT GOING TO HELP US THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP FOR THE USE OF THE DONATED MONEY TO BE ABLE TO GET MY WIFES MEDICINE THAT IS SITTING AT RITE AID ON E BRAINERD. SO SHE COULD DIE WITHOUT IT. I HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT NIGHTS SLEEPING....this is what she told me..It is not automated. I am currently not in the office and responding as I can on my personal time. All of our requests for assistance must be filled out by a renal professional for processing. Please understand we have to follow guidelines in order to meet standards for auditing and charitable status. I would suggest calling Nephrology Associates and talking with a nurse there about care from their office. If there is an urgent emergency I suggest going to an emergency room. There isnt anything I can do without an application from a renal nurse, social worker, or doctor. I understand that circumstances arent ideal but most all hospitals in this area have a policy and plan in place for the uninsured or those on hard times. We are not part of the National Kidney Foundation, we are an independent organization only in Chattanooga so our rules may be different from other foundations you are familiar with.Sent from my iPhoneShow more
