In my opinion, the lack of transparency and billing practices employed by PCA Southeast, and enabled by the associated physician, were underhanded and frankly unethical. When asked why it was handled this way, the PCA representative responded that “it’s not PCA’s responsibility,” then blamed the policy of the insurance company and the medical provider excusing themselves from any responsibility to do right by the patient and stating that “that’s just how things are.”
