Run from this place! The front office staff is nonexistent and will not answer the phone for questions or to make an appointment. I have had to call customer service at the Erlanger main campus mutiple times and a representative has had to walk to their office to get them to call me back. The best thing you can do for a loved one or yourself, is make an appointment somewhere else. Its gone from being horrible to bizarre. NEVER dealt with anything like this place.
These people have been so nice, kind and considerate. As a person who has been straight up traumatized by doctors most of my life, I had not been to one voluntarily for over 25 years. When I was afraid my Obama Care would be repealed before I ever used it, my niece who is a nurse at Erlanger, urged me to call UT Family Practice. I gave in and bit the bullet.They verified my BCBS Marketplace insurance with no problems and no shame. I got my new patient visit within 2 weeks, and my followup in less than a week of my 2nd call, even on top of Christmas and New Year holidays. Dr. Salvaggio was wonderful and for the first time in my life, I felt like I was being treated like a human being. Naturally, as a woman in my mid 50s who hasnt seen a doctor since my last child was born, I had a LOT of concerns. She listened to all of them and called in specialists to assist. Everyone I have interacted with in that building from the front desk, to the nurses, imaging and doctors have all be extremely kind and helpful.Now that I have been the guinea pig, Im sending my Husband and happily suggesting them to everyone I know.
