The power went off in one bedroom. Said came and started looking in the breaker box. That checked out okay so he began checking the outlets and the second one was the problem. He quickly fixed it, cleaned up after himself. He also installed a new sensor for my mailbox light. I am very pleased with his work, his work ethic, his politeness. I am so glad I called them and will continue to use them for my electrical needs. Many thanks, Said. You are an asset to the company.

I really appreciated the efficient work of Eddie and his helper. They worked hard to isolate/repair one problem with no power going to one basement room, installed two new floor outlets, installed a new chandelier and a closet light fixture, rewired a lamp and repaired an outdoor security light. I was anticipating a much longer work time. The hourly rate isnt cheap, but when folks work swiftly and efficiently as these guys did, you feel like you definitely got what you paid for. When the need arises, I will call on them again.

I called Lawson after another electrician group showed up late to perform a specific job then stated they couldn’t perform the task -min has hired then for - installing a hardwired smoke detector and 5 wireless interconnected units. I called Lawson and the scheduler talked to the shop manager and she was able to provide the materials and confirm it was a service they could provide. My electrician showed up promptly at 8 am and install the smoke detectors and a couple of new lights for 25% less than the other electrician had quoted. Super nice, responsive and professional! Quick and efficient work on very short notice.

Lauson did a total supposedly new electrical system for my 2 story 3092 sq ft home in fort payne al.I say supposedly because they never touched the 3 rooms wiring,nor lighting.And less than a year after the installation which was suppose to be up to or beyond code I began having problems with lights weakening, or flickering when the coffee pot was on and 2 or more table lights.I contacted them about it then and recently.I surely shouldnt have these problems after paying them 12000.00 for a mostly total rewire.Today unlike in 2018 Im all but broke and cant afford to pay them to fix it as Jeremy at lauson stated to me a few days ago its no longer in warranty as they only have a 1 year guarantee.Id never use them again I had thought them the best but if youre good at what you sell you have a little better guarantee.

Still waiting on a return call. Ive since gone elsewhere.

Lawson Electric installed this AM a new 110 volt dedicated line/20amp GFI from electrical panel to newly installed sump pump under crawl space. I want to commend Chip & assistant Gabe for being on time , Professional, Knowledgable & Thorough. The conduit pipe was done meticulously from elect. panel to crawl space access @ the very end of garage. THANKS Lawson Electric & especially JEREMY for sending out a great team. 5 STARS

Great place to get electrical work done

Very friendly, professional, and reliable.

Not sure about the quality of this company’s work because they refused to even give me an estimate. The reason they wouldn’t bother was because they didn’t want to “park far away and walk in” to my business. Then the guy laughed and said, “And it’s no guarantee we’ll be paid.” I have the money and it’s a legitimate job. He wouldn’t even show up just to check it out. No idea why he would assume he wouldn’t be paid, but the job will go to someone more professional anyway, so it doesn’t matter much in the end.

Not happy with Lawson and will not ever use them again in the future. They charge a lot of hidden fees outside their labor hours. They were not prepared with parts that should be standard for every electrician to have. They took a trip to Ace to obtain the parts (which they apply a 22% mark up) they needed on my dime. Lawson did not give me the option to go with them to purchase the parts without the 22% mark up. This trip took an hour that should of been 30 minutes. When you lose consumer oversight from the vendor, then they should not charge that hour, but Lawson will nickel and dime you in every way possible. Whos to say they didnt stop for a coffee - I would never know! Lawson is not prepared for simplistic jobs and do not have a sense of urgency.

Electrician sent to install my WiFi switches had to read instructions and learn (on my dime) how to install my Leviton Decora switches. He deducted nothing from the bill after installing 3-way switches on the wrong switch and having to reinstall. Safety standards are questionable, as electrician gave himself a shock after never turning off the breaker. Isn’t that one of the first things you learn as an electrician?? Be aware that Lawson Electric bills commute time (45 minutes from their Spring Street location to Apison) and they charged an additional 15 minutes “administrative” time to bill the transaction at the end of job, while gathering my address information (which neither of the two people previously spoken to) provided to electrician. Neither office staff nor Project Manager told me they charged commute or administrative time when I called in advance to inquire about rates. I would have chosen a closer electrician had I known I would have to pay commute time. As a business owner, I understand that there are certain costs of doing business and one of those is commute time to and from jobs within a local area.Would not use Lawson Electric again.

The absolute best. Youre unlikely to find a more professional, thoughtful, ez on the wallet electrical contractor anywhere.After I called them they had someone drive down immediately and gave me a price, after which it was scheduled almost immediately and now after a short time my home is beyond state code completly rewired top to bottom complete with new outlets switches and fixtures.and Im delighted.The 2 man team sent were P.J. and Cory and they became easy friends besides highly skilled and efficient electricians that have increased the safety good looks and overall value of my home tremendously.THANKYOU LAWSON ELECTRIC.S.W.
