Dr. Yates and his nurses are outstanding! I mean simply outstanding! I’m a big reviewer because I think it’s important the community know about the services offered in our area. And I’m always extremely honest whether good or bad. Dr. Yates is kind and professional and asked me to please maintain communication with him, which most Doctor’s do not do and his nurses were all extraordinarily helpful and kind and non judgmental and just a joy to work with.

This practice has a policy that patients are NOT allowed to get a second opinion at a different practice. If you are prudent about your healthcare, then this is NOT the place for you.I saw Nurse Practitioner Doloris Hawk (Dr. Schmitt’s NP) ONCE for a consultation visit and after my exam and lab work, it was found that I likely have IBS and should just take a laxative everyday, in addition to IBS Guard (peppermint oil pills). I felt this was not an adequate diagnosis or recommendation, as almost all laxatives say not to take them longer than about a week, so I did not return. 3 years later, I was referred to another GI at a different practice. Nothing really came from that consultation either, except eliminating potential diagnoses. Fast forward to now (4 years later) and I was once again referred to Galen for another GI consultation and potential colonoscopy. When I was called to schedule my appointment, I was told I can no longer see ANY of the doctors at Galen because I had simply gone to a SINGLE consultation visit with another doctor. I have never heard of this policy at a practice before and it’s absolutely INSANE!!! Based on both of my brief, negative experiences with this group, I HIGHLY recommend finding another practice to meet your needs.

Leaving one star because they have a policy against getting a second opinion from another doctor. If you do so they ban you from ever coming to their practice again.Will change review if and when they decide to care about their patients again!

The staff is friendly and professional. They always call me back in a timely manner and do everything in their power to make sure I stay healthy.

Recently went to a Galen ophthalmologist who upgraded or up code on a simple Eye exam I waited over 3 1/2 hours because I was a new patient. called Galen billing I told them I did not get a certain test, They check the paperwork and I said I did sign for one, however I had checked no, what a rip off, although I have to say it’s not just Galen, almost any place in Chattanooga For medical care will way to over bill. Then you have to worry what kind of help or care you’re going to get in the hospital or in a doctors office. what has happened to peoples morals? I just go along to make money . I am thoroughly angry and thinking about driving all the way to Vanderbilt or Baptist in Nashville to get proper care disgusting.

Staff is rude. And if you complain you get dismissed. Not to mention I overlooked that I was misdiagnosed and hoped to tell Kim Gardner that in my next visit. I was even forgiving the horrible way the nurse talked to me and even sent a catty letter to me bc I didn’t get her message. I was threatened with dismissal for ignoring calls. What? So yet another nurse is rude and I complain —casually— to a tech and she tells. And now I am being punished? I am not a child and everyone in that place talks down to you. Save yourself the trouble and go see anyone else. It’s a shame you’re at the mercy of them and they treat you so horribly. That’s Galen for ya. Corporate care instead of compassionate care.

Medical staff and administration staff are the best. Quick to call back assess my needs efficiently and with mindedness.

I have had Dr, Gregory Olds for the last six years or so, and I have received nothing but excellent care from him. I highly recommend him.

The staff is super friendly and helpful around the clock. They have taken such good care of me. I commute to appointments and it is definitely worth it.

Review is for Galen not a specific provider:The physician I was seeing left suddenly and I didnt get notice until my reminder call for my appointment. I called to inquire about the PA and if there would be disruptions to care. I was assured there would not be but this was not the case.Review for the provider:Robert Sciulli PAC treated me poorly. He attempted to mislead me and blatantly lied to me. I felt like I had to calm him down during our conversation. Not a professional interaction.Overall:I have reached out to the administration to discuss but have not heard back as of yet. Which is also disappointing and has lead to my overall 1 star review.

Dr. Sommer told me I had chronic liver disease prior to any labs being drawn. Once my labs were drawn she left me waiting for 2 weeks and never let me know of the results. I had to call her 2 weeks later to which her nurse responded “your labs have been here but Dr. Sommer hasn’t looked at them yet. She is really backed up, you’re not the only one.” She then told me after begging for my results that me, a healthy 28yo female, needed a liver biopsy. I found a different GI doctor to get a second option and she sent out a letter saying I would no longer be able to be accepted as a Galen patient because another GI professional had asked for my record. She is neglectful and petty. Do yourself a favor and just call Dr. Sadowitz who is thorough and compassionate from the beginning. I saved myself stress AND a liver biopsy by switching from Galen group!!!

Love Dr Chirag Patel. He is excellent. I also think Dr. Bhushaun is an excellent dr.

Dr. Bhushan saved my husbands life. When he had bleeding varices and was bleeding internally Dr. Bhushan rushed him in and fixed him up. We love Dr. Bhushan. He is AMAZING
