I have been a patient @ Pearle Vision over 20 years.I’ve been misdiagnosed, paid overprices for glasses/visits/contacts, treated unfairly by the staff over the years, including the doctors wife.I will not be doing business here again!Costly mistakes this placed made could have caused permanent damage to my eyes.If you are new to the area looking for a eye specialist this is not the right place for that I recommend a orthodontist (Nicola Erlanger).Even after I changed to a new eye doctor the staff was so hateful giving the new doctor my contact prescription, that I had done paid $95 for.Like what is this staffs problem?!New office was even shocked how disrespectful the staff is. If you Treat ppl with no respect they are going stop doing business with you all!! Simple as that.Facts: Your not the only eye center in the area. If you want to keep losing business, change nothing…

I enjoyed my experience at Pearle Vision. Dr. Rosenthal answered all of my questions and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Eye exam was great, picking glasses also great. The problem was picking up glasses when they came in. The lady was very rude. Never explained anything to me. I put glasses on looked in mirror and she walked off to get cleaner and cloth, laid them on counter and asked did I want a case with them. Never said thank you, please come by if you have a problem, or anything like that. There is a good chance I want go back. And yes I expected a thank you when I spend over $500 for me and my wifes glasses.

I have always found them to be professional, courteous and efficient. For these reasons my family has used them for years.

I visited Pearle Vision in cleveland for my eye exam. They referred me to the chattanooga branch because they stated the did not file my type of insurance (BCBS of tn). I called with my prescription and insurance card to order contacts. Cynthia returned my call and was extremely rude. Stating she couldn’t find anything under our insurance and seemed in a hurry to get off the phone. Very poor customer service. I would rather pay out of pocket for contacts at the Pearle Vision in cleveland than give the chattanooga branch any business. Staff needs training in kindness and customer service.

Had an appointment for an eye exam and to get eye glasses and when I arrived for my appointment they had me wait outside because they required masks to enter. No one called or let me know previous to the appointment that would be required. They had me stand OUTSIDE while they scrambled to find a mask. While standing they brought me paperwork etc. to fill out. After 25 mins they decided to let me be seen. When I went back to pick up my eye glasses they again had me wait (inside the door this time since it was pouring rain) and didn’t help adjust them of fit them because I didn’t have a mask on. If you’re going to treat people poorly for not having a mask- inform them before hand that it’s a requirement and/or have them to supply patients/customers.

The employees are very friendly, the doctor is great, I never have trouble getting my glasses, But the problem is... The WAIT! I waited for almost an hour after my scheduled appointment!! I really wish they would consider not trying to fit so many people in one day! It is slightly annoying when you have to account for 3 hours just to get a eye exam! This is my second eye exam here and it was the same way last time!

Worst experiences ever!!The doctors are nice and they are doing ok. The problem is those receptionist or staff, especially a black lady, who is super rude and unprofessional, I feel I was discriminated or mistreated because of my race. They are not good at keeping tab either, forgot to order my contact lenses and then misplaced them. When I told them that I want to figure out my right prescriptions and that black lady yelled at me. I was so freaking mad. I will never go back there again! And if you are not white or black, dont go! They will be rude to you!!

If I were to base it solely on the interaction with the doctor, this review would receive 5 stars. Unfortunately, I had the misfortune of dealing with the staff members and, frankly, a 1 star rating is extremely overgenerous! The staff, for the exception of the young Caucasian guy, were dismissive and when I asked for clarification on how my eye care benefits would be applied towards the cost of my daughters contact lenses, the African American lady was condescending and offered minimal help. Providing exceptional customer service, one that increases the likelihood the client will return, requires a willingness to assist the customer by answering questions but, more importantly, by treating each customer that walks in through the door with courtesy, dignity and respect--none of which we received during the three visits we made to the facility. On our last visit, my 12 year-old daughter looked at me and said, mom, lets just go...I dont want to be here! So we left. When I got home, I figured I would give the clinic a call and perhaps I would have a better chance at receiving some sort of assistance, but no avail. At least they are consistent, whether in person or on the phone, the customer is guaranteed to have an unfavorable experience...one that they will share with other consumers who, in turn, will not only choose to do business elsewhere but will also warn other consumers. It is mind-boggling to know that, in spite of all the negative reviews which are primarily due to the female staff member I spoke of at the beginning of this review, these matters are not resolved and consumers are STILL dealing with inadequate and unprofessional customer service. By no means I am suggesting firing the individual, HOWEVER, I STRONGLY recommend corrective training. I am sure I speak for many of the people who have shared similar experiences that the staff, particularly the African American lady, would truly benefit from Customer Service Training. Never again...I will take our business elsewhere! (its a shame because Dr. Rosenthal was extremely professional and personable).

Love Dr. Rosenthal. Have been a customer for 25 years. No-one picks out glasses better than his wife, Melinda. In & out in under an hour. My glasses were ready in 2 hours on a busy Friday.

Great experience! First time eyewear purchaser

I had a pair of Prada glasses that my son broke (you know how babies love to grab glasses!), and was told by 3 eye glass shops that they couldn’t be repaired. These glasses were close to $500 and I really liked the frame, so Pearl was my last try. He fixed them good as new and didn’t even charge me a thing. After that, I made the office the place to go for my whole family and have nothing but great experiences with the staff.

Best place in town to get both Glasses and Contacts! Staff is amazing and respectful. Recommend this place to everyone, all ages.

Customer service sucks, they are rude. Husband ordered safety glasses and would call to see if they arrived yet, wouldnt answer phone when finally answered they would hang up, ordered glasses 7/24 got glasses 9/24 receipt on glasses said arrived on 8/28, was going to get myself glasses but gave completely different prices then insurance says about $300 difference scams all scams. Only good thing was the doctor nice pleasant and funny

Purchased glasses here and after < 2 years the coating on the lenses started peeling. This continued to the point of obstructing my vision, so I contacted Pearle. After being told on the phone to bring then in for warranty repair, the sales person at the store informed me there was no repair warranty. Its unfortunate that this product failed in such a short period of time. Then, to be told to bring it in for repair when thats not even an option for me compounds the mistake. My family has had great experiences with Costco and I will move my business to that store instead of Pearle.

Bought glasses there a month ago and had to go back in today to have repair done on them. Got there after 9 and door was still locked. After a minute a lady came and unlocked door and I immediately started getting attitude from her. She was very short and nasty in her words. I will never waste my money at a Pearle version again. They certainly do not appreciate our business.

I have been seeing different eye specialists since I was a preteen. Dr. Rosenthal, and the entire Pearle Vision staff, are by far the best that Ive ever seen. Everyone is exceptionally polite, hospitable, and professional. I will be a life-long customer and patient.

Cynthia was very amazing at her job when delivering my glasses I recommend her to anyone.

Horrible. Went to them and they gave me a prescription so strong it made me sick to wear my glasses. Then made an appointment to fix the glasses and the office staff forgot about me. Waited in the waiting room for over an hour without even being acknowledged. The glasses came back too strong the second time. They never cleaned the ink off my lenses or adjusted the glasses. Went again to get my lenses fixed. Glasses came back once again not being adjusted to cleaned. Needless to say, I will not be going back.

Ive been to this location three times and the first two times was okay but this last time was the worst experience EVER! When I walked in I got no greeting AT ALL. The whole time while looking for frames no one even left their seats to help I would have to walk over to their desk to get help, once I helped myself and was ready to check out the manager was on her phone on Facebook laughing instead of assisting me once finish we paper work she didnt go over ANYTHING just took my card and even when I asked question she was to busy talking to others. Its been 10 days and I still dont have my glasses because she failed to tell me their machine was broke and had to be shipped them to dalton and then back to Chattanooga. When I called to complain about not having my glasses they made me seem like its not a big deal since my prescription wasnt strong. I will NEVER go back to this company EVER.

They called and told me my glasses were in and we live 30 minutes away so we drove up there to get them and we get there and they told us they werent there. Never called us again, we has to go there blindly. The doctor does know what he was doing.

The worst place in town to go. If you make an appointment you need to be able to wait all day to be seen. Been there twice and both times walked out 45 min after my scheduled appoint and was never seen either time. Do not go here...

About a year and a half ago, a week before I had an appointment for a regular exam with a different physician in town, I had a bug fly into my eye and cause serious irritation. To walk in as an urgent appointment at my original office was going to cost $150 and they wouldnt be able to get me in for hours. I needed to find another option. As a walk in I had a reasonable wait time and I was very pleased with the care I recieved. My eye was thoroughly checked, flushed, and proper medications prescribed along with recommendations to follow-up in 24 hours if it had not improved so that I could be referred to a specialist. Thankfully, the specialist wasnt needed and I was so impressed with the care I recieved, I cancelled my appointment at my old office and have now made Dr. Rosenthal my primary eye doctor. My boyfriend now also uses him as well and has been nothing but pleased.

My experience here was absolute chaos and I would suggest choosing anywhere else in town before here. I waited patiently for some time without being acknowledged. It was my first time in, and they got frustrated that I didnt have an appointment before I arrived. Got angry and dismissive when my insurance didnt pull up quickly, so ultimately just left without any plans of returning. Not worth the frustration.

One of the best eye doctors in the city.

Above and beyond. I had an issue with my eye while I was at a trade show and called the office after hours. Dr. Rosenthal called me back and even personally offered to run the eye drops out to me. That is not the type of service you get every day. Ive been with them for over a decade.

Called in and asked a few questions, they told me what it took to get me in the door and after I made the drive they told me the person answering the phone doesnt know what they are talking about.
