This was such a fun experience for our little ones first haircut. The stylist made it fun and exciting. Our stylist was super talented to be able to follow a moving target without hurting or scaring our toddler.

Great place. Fantastic with children, its truly amazing that they can actually cut a childs hair straight with all the movements from playing in the airplane. This was our experience and my niece cant wait to go back, she keeps asking if its time to cut her hair.

We had a great experience here. My daughter is very apprehensive to try anything new. The fun atmosphere had her distracted enough for the stylist to complete her quick cut. I appreciated her patience and encouragement towards my daughter. We will be back!

Jillian did amazing with my baby! She was very patient and kind. She took her time and told him what she was doing. Would def recommend her to anyone!

They did a great job cutting my baby hair. They even have razor silencer. For the baby doesnt get scared or autism children. The only complaint I say fix their car wheels. Like add rubber on it. For the baby or children dont slam their face. You know how children are clumsy.

My son and I had a wonderful experience at Pigtails & Crewcuts on 2/27/21. The staff was incredibly friendly, and his stylist (Jillian) was so patient and kind. It was my sons first haircut and Jillian explained each step and showed him all the tools before use. She checked in with me throughout the process to make sure she understood my expectations (which was great, as I know little about male haircuts!). His hair looks awesome and is exactly what I wanted. We will definitely be returning customers. I highly recommend!

I got my toddlers haircut few days before and that was good, ladies working there are quite professional and very good at their job. But I regret going there as I found many people areComing without mask in salon. It is salon for kids and they are not vaccinated i found this as risk for there life. Hope they take care of this.

Ashlyn always does a great job on my sons hair! I love that they have the little cars and stuff for them to sit in to keep the kiddos entertained! That helps a lot with my son since he is only one and a half!

Andreia made our experience absolutely wonderful! We have been going here for 6 years and she was by far my favorite! We were pleasantly surprised they had reopened! We were the only ones in the salon, which was a little sad but also nice. My son always loves the treasure chest and its still available with cleaner restrictions. Highly recommend!

The hair stylist was very sweet and patient with my 4 year old daughter. All of the seats are little cars or airplanes and my daughter had a great time getting her hair done. The hair stylist addressed my daughter with instructions directly in a very age appropriate manner and consulted me throughout the hair cut. She looked so cute after she was all done!

Matthew did an awesome job on my sons (hes 2.5) hair! The cut was great, but he was so patient and kind that it put my son at ease and he wasnt nervous during the whole haircut. Matthew also checked with me throughout the haircut to get my input as well. Taking my daughter here was one of the BEST parenting decisions, ever! We had the pleasure of having Jillian as our stylist. She was sweet, patient and understanding with our 3 year old daughter. She asked our opinion on length and didnt make us feel uncomfortable when we said a a little longer. My daughter has curly hair and she was able to give us some tips and recommend a good product for us. This was a great experience, well worth the drive and will definitely do it again. 😊

First haircut and he didnt like it at all! However, she cut it very nice and made sure we were happy with his hair even though he was fighting it the whole time. She done a great job and didnt get frustrated with him at all.

Theyre are beyond wonderful... My son would no longer let his first barber cut his hair and after going nearly two months with no hair cut we tried here. This is his third time going and finally he is sitting in the chair by himself with no tears being a big boy. Samantha is hands down the best!!!

The ladies inside are always amazing with my son and cut his hair exactly how I want it. I had been having a problem with his hair being cut shorter than I wanted it before. Now I get axactly what I asked for and the ladies are always happy to see us.

Everyone is so nice and personable. Also, every stylist we have ever had; takes their time and asks us multiple times if we like the hair cut or if we need anything else.

Anyone that takes their child here shouldnt be disappointed. All the stylist are great with children. Even so much that I drive 30 miles just to have Jillian cut my sons hair and have been for a year and a half now. I have the upmost respect for these stylists at this location bc the patience they have with children of all ages is by far the best Ive ever seen.

My son HATES having his haircut. Its really bad. He wont calm down--screams the whole time. But, the stylists are SUPER patient. They dont get annoyed, and they dont complain.

That staff at this location was very stuck up, not helpful or informative. Not saying the every location is this way. When asked to change appointment time to an earlier appointment they lied and said one was not available ,however online it was available. I will definitely not use or recommend this location to anyone.

This was my second visit to pigtails and crew cuts and it was 1000 times better than our first visit. She was very patient and gentle with my daughter who is very tender headed and nervous about having her hair touched. The place was also cleaner the second time around. I was hesitant the return for a 2nd time but I am now glad I did.

The haircut was wonderful. The gal did a great job. Kassi at the front desk was friendly as was another hair stylist. Unfortunately, the rest of the crew (3 others) were quiet and had no personality whatsoever. Our 3 year old was Nervous about her first haircut and no one was friendly when she came in. The girl who did the cut said about 5 words to us the whole time, despite our efforts to start conversation. They honestly seemed like they had all stayed out too late the night before and werent feeling well.If youre going to cater to kids, you should be friendly and personable. Thats all I ask. I dont even know the stylists name who cut my daughters hair. There was no introduction or even a hello. Service is definitely lacking at this location. Thanks again to Kassi for striking up conversation during the awkward silence.

My son and I went for a haircut for the first time since the start of Covid in March. I normally go to another salon for my own haircut but figured since they offered a mom cut I would save us time and possible exposure by going to just one salon. My son’s haircut turned great! It was his second time at this branch. Mine was horrible, horrible, horrible. When I did my blow dry and inspected my cut more closely a day or so after, I notice that when I pull my hair forward the whole left side looked distinctly shorter than the other by at least an inch or more! How can a professional cutter make as basic a mistake as that? Very disappointing. Lesson Learned - Come for a kid haircut, nothing more!

Samantha was great! My son usually goes to the barber but I loved the experience hed have in a salon catered just for him. He really enjoyed himself and is actually already asking when his next haircut will be. I would definitely recommend. These ladies have a special sort of patience for all sorts of clients. Weve been going her since my son was 18months. And with my son having sensory issues, we go as soon as they open because he pitches such a fit. Every stylist as always been so accommodating and nice to us both, even with all the crying and screaming. We have finally found our favorite stylist in the place, now. Shelby is amazing and she goes above and beyond for my son. She has experience with children who have sensory issues and basically lets them decide what she uses and doesnt use on their hair. She doesnt use a cape on him and lets him stand while she cuts his hair. Weve seen her twice now and the most recent time was the best! Was in today for my daughters first haircut. She just turned two, so isn’t the best at sitting still. But the young lady that cut her hair did a perfect job!! Tried to take her to a different salon last month, and she wouldn’t let them touch her. But had no issues here! Wonderful atmosphere. I’m from out of state, but my mom lives here, and I’ll definitely come back when I’m in town again. The first haircut package is super cute too! I will be framing the card, picture, lock of hair, and little bow!

We drive from Cleveland to there to get our hair cut with Shelby there. My son is special needs and we love the communication, gentleness, and compassion that she has for the kids. I would recommend this place/Shelby to anyone and especially anyone who has a special needs child! A chain store horribly screwed up my childs ear piercing and it took a while but she let them do it again and it was perfect, not to mention again the knowledge, and communication was there the whole time.

We adopted our son 3 yrs ago. He was terrified of a haircut. I dont know what hed been through because we adopted him from the foster care system. Pigtails and Crewcuts were so patient and kind! They worked slow with him and would even put two ladies with him. Now he loves going to get a haircut there! He watches the calendar for his next turn to go. Thanks so much ladies!

I decided to take my 15 month old son here for his first official haircut at the recommendation of several friends. The staff was amazingly sweet from the minute we walked through the door. The place was tidy and smelled very clean. Erin was so sweet to me and my son and was super fast. My son HATED the experience but everyone was so kind and patient with us! Well worth every single penny for the kindness and expertise.

First of all, the hairdressers are always so sweet to my little guy! They are quick, efficient, and are always willing to listen to my requests. My son loves getting his hair cut because every experience has been a good one! Also, Ive used the Original Sprout detangler and shampoo (they are both fantastic!!!) As well as the Johnny Bs Hair Gel which works amazingly! Ive never had a bad recommendation from the stylists!

Normally I love this place as I have been here with my son now 5 times. They do so great with the kids. But this time when I came here with my son. There was a new hire named Stephanie that has been there for two days. (as of todays date) This lady is clearly on drugs of some sort. She couldnt keep focused on cutting my sons hair. Wont stop talking even though theres 4 people waiting behind us to get their kids hair cut as well. She was bouncing from on side to the other consistently. Clear signs of drugs. Like I said I love this place and will be back. But that lady will not cut my sons hair again as it nearly put me in a panic attack just watching her

Just not worth the price. Salon techs not really any better than great clips. Atmosphere great for the kid who went here for his first haircut because he was a little scared the first time around. But none of our visits have impressed us with a skilled hair cutter.

I was extremely worried at 1st because it was my sons 1st hair cut. He is a lil wild and all over the place. But the staff was so nice and handled it so professionally. They even have a membership type of deal where if I didnt like the haircut I can come back. And that was a plus for me.

I went to get curtain bangs and layers, layers looked amazing, but the curtain bangs were horrible.

Ok, so this one is tricky. The perks are fabulous -- snacks, cool chairs (fire engine, airplane, etc.), and of course, suckers! The price, however, is steep because most of the time, the haircuts need to blended better. Thing is, thats happened every single time. If you want to do a first haircut, they have a package and that was cute, but after that, it wasnt worth it for choppy hair.

They were able to actively engage my son. He did not move the entire hair cut, and that says a lot for an overactive 2 year old. He loved the fire truck he sat in. And after months of searching, I finally found a safe childrens conditioner for his hair. Their selection is amazing.

We visited the location on Brainerd Road for my sons first haircut. The staff were very welcoming and informative. Our stylist listened to our needs and was great with our son. Absolutely loved this place and so did my 2 year old! They were great with my screaming son and as soon as it was over he enjoyed playing in the cars and getting a toy from the treasure chest. It definitely made getting his hair cut more enjoyable, for the both of us! I will be back for sure!

The best place by far, for your childs hair cut. Erin cuts my childs hair and she is so sweet. The other women are also very friendly and you can tell they love their jobs. They carry lots of great products and the store is always very clean. If you have to wait a little while, they have Legos, and movies to keep your child entertained. Great place!

Weve been taking our almost 3 year old here since he was old enough to need a haircut. They have a good waiting area with toys to pass the time. The stylists are patient and generally do a good job. And they have a treasure chest to get a toy out of after the haircut, to bribe your child to be good! Overall good experience.

My son is always excited to get his haircut at Pigtails and Crewcuts - his favorite things are the train table and checking out the toys that are for sale. We drive over 30 minutes to get there, but it is always well worth it. Thank you for being so wonderful with children, and for making it a painless process for parents.

The environment makes this place truly remarkable. If its crowded, theres a nice waiting area with a lot of toys for children to play with. Each child can sit in whatever unique styling chair they choose. The stylists work very well with the kids and are very good at what they do. Theres even a place near each chair that parents can sit at and watch their children get clipped. After the haircut, the kid can pick out a small toy from the toy chest. The only down-side to this place is the price. Its not outrageously expensive, but it is a little more than what I think a childs haircut should be.

My kids love it here. The ladies have usually done a wonderful job (with one exception, but they did all they could to make it right). Only bad thing is all the adorable toys they have that my kids beg me to buy them every time we go in!

My sons thoroughly enjoy going to get their hair cut. Even if they have to wait in line there are plenty of activities to entertain them. They both get excited when it is their turn to pick out the vehicle they get to drive while getting their hair cut. Another plus, the hairstylists somehow manage to cut a squirmy, wiggly, scrunchy faced little kids hair and make it look good. I have no idea how they do it. Boat loads of patience maybe?

This is a great way place for children. The staff is patient, kind and professional. Four of my grandchildren get their haircuts here by the wonderful staff. The two others are too young right now. I highly recommend this shop.

If I could leave no stars I would! The first couple times I went they did an amazing job. The last 4-5 times I’ve gone my sons hair has been chopped all to pieces ! The reason I kept going back is bc I couldn’t remember who we had that done such a good job so I started picking different people hoping to find the one that we used the first couple times . The staff are really friendly and do an amazing job with the kids but my sons hair is literally unfixable ! I either have to shave it or let it grow out and take him somewhere else . I explained to each person every time what I disliked about the previous cut and still every time they did the same thing ! Awful job !

They take walk ins only. They got me right in and let my son choose which seat he wanted from a red airplane, a black vintage police car, and red vintage fire car. There was a play area for waiting children. The overall appearance of the establishment was clean and visually appealing. I didnt get the name of the stylist that cut my sons hair. She was fabulous. And the receptionist helped calm my child when he would get fussy. He moved his head around a lot. But neither lady got frustrated! They just kept going. Definitely recommend this for child haircuts!

Every staff member takes extra care with my special needs son. He has a very hard time getting a haircut, but the stylists at Pigtails and Crewcuts are always kind and understanding. We love this place and are so thankful they are available for children.

Great, absolutely fantastic, excellent! I have 2 boys, 2 yo & 4 yo and they are both nuts. We tried a couple other places that ended in tears and disaster. It was all out war to get a simple trim. Then we found Pigtails & Crewcuts and suddenly it was like I had the most well-behaved children on the planet! They both love going to get their hair cut now!!!

They did a fantastic job of cutting my son’s hair and keeping him entertained during the process. He has cried and been frightened at other places that weren’t as centered and geared towards kids. Would highly recommend !

An entertaining place to get your childs hair cut and styled. The staff is always very friendly and obviously love their job. They interact with your kid and make them feel special. Kids have a play area while they are waiting and that keeps their attention for a while, until they see all the sweets and toys they sale. Tanika always cuts my sons hair and does a fantastic job. It’s pretty wicked as well that the kids get to choose a vehicle to sit in to keep them happy while their hair is being cut. I’m very impressed and will be back for the 4th time to let Tanika take care of us. See you guys soon!
