Wonderful owners and staff that genuinely care about their clients. They were very helpful in caring for my 88 year old Mother that recently had her knee replaced. My husband, Danny has Parkinson’s disease and has a lot of different issues that make it hard for him to get out and go with me. I did not want to leave him alone anymore to give myself a break and get errands done. Home instead has been excellent with providing me someone to be with him that I am confident with so I can go and get things done and have some time for myself. I have been using Home Instead from Bonnie Oaks Drive Chattanooga for several months now to assist with the care of my husband. Nancy Harris is our caregiver and she is outstanding.. Due to a brain injury there are some additional challenges to taking care of someone with this issue. My husband isnt always comfortable with other people, but he really likes Nancy. She is patient, caring and seems to have a calming effect on him. When I am away from the house I am comfortable that he is save and being taken care of by her. She is so pleasant and feels like part of our family. I also appreciate that the office staff have been so helpful and pleasant and have worked with me when I needed to make changes to schedules, etc. I highly recommend Home Instead for your needs.

If you are looking for a flexible schedule than this is the job for you! If you’re looking for a stable income maybe try the office positions! The staff is so sweet and understanding and so are the clients. This is such a rewarding job. I would recommend this job and this company any day of the year.

I’d like to express my appreciation for Shirley at Home Instead Chattanooga. She’s so wonderful! She was always tender and loving with my mother who had dementia and then aggressive breast cancer. Shirley has a great sense of humor and a very kind heart. We love her as a family member now. She’s on time, conscientious about doing an outstanding job and doe both cleaning and caregiving in excellence.My mother passed away this morning. We don’t want to let Shirley go. She’s been such a part of our healing process and brings joy whenever she arrives.

Home Instead Senior Care on Bonny Oaks is an amazing office! The staff genuinely care about their clients and their caregivers. I have personally seen the schedulers work very hard to meet clients needs and fill last minute added in shifts, as well as help caregivers work the amount of hours they need. The owners are kind and generous and care about their clients and employees. The entire staff are professional yet approachable and make you feel loved and supported. Great place to work and great people to know!!

I have Enjoyed working with Home instead. It is a great experience with the clients , they are great to work with. I enjoy working with the Seniors. My job doesn’t feel like work at all. I enjoyed being with them.

Our dear Mom, Bertie, has always been an independent and self-sufficient lady, but once she quit driving in 2016 we reached out to Home Instead for assistance. It began as just a few hours per week for help for light cleaning and errands, then meals and more. All of our caregivers were fabulous!! Mary Smith, Shirley Elston, and Doris Cothern were especially attentive and provided loving care and companionship..... we could not have made it without these ladies! Unfortunately Alzheimers forced us to move Mom into assisted living this month, but thanks to Home Instead and these wonderful ladies she was able to stay in her own home for a very long time. I highly recommend Home Instead in choosing the perfect care-giver for your precious loved one.

We used home instead senior care services ,when we adopted our mom who was ill with advanced alzheimers disease. the lady that came to sit with mom was very professional. she knew exactly what to do and how to act around mom. she would sit with her at least 8 to 10 hours each time. mom was very excited when she came . and the care giver even fed her lunch and took her for walks. she was GREAT.if we ever need anyone again we will definitely use this service. PROFFESSIONAL,FRIENDLY AND QUALIFIED. if you are looking for a day sitter a night sitter or whatever the reason ,I highly recommend home instead senior care. you will not be disappointed!!!

I enjoy working with home instead because they are so friendly, kind and easy to get along with. I can never say that i have any problems working with them, because they work with you especially the flexible hours that work perfectly with my everyday life, so i do love my job and i wouldnt have it any other way.

Caregivers are nice and generally know what theyre doing. However, management doesnt know what theyre doing. I highly suggest you do not work here and consider other options before entrusting this home instead with your loved one or yourself.

My friend was an employee for this company from May 2017 to August 2017. Throughout the short time my she worked here I got frequent and horrific calls and texts from her describing the gross misconduct she suffered. The one that struck me the most was when she showed me the email from her bank saying her check had bounced. Just a few days ago she was fired without an explanation over text message. Today she was also informed they were keeping money from her final check. I would not recommend this company to anyone. Please stay away.

Ive been using this company for over a year now and have both good & bad aides. I now have an aide that meets all my needs and is part of the family.

I would suggest doing research into this kind of PRN job before working here. A mistake made resulted in a change of hours after my first day; I went from getting 20 hours to 4 (this can happen in home health care PRN jobs). All the expected responsibilities were not told to me before hand and I believe this is because training used to be somewhat lackluster in my opinion (I worked there over a year ago so this could have been improved upon since then). The mistake that resulted in an hours change also resulted in a house change and I had to drive further than what I had originally agreed to. HomeInstead did not force me to drive further, rather it felt forced because I needed the hours and those were the only ones available to me at that time. I received last minute calls guilting me into working. Perhaps it only felt like guilting because I have a servants heart and wanted to help when there was a need, but perhaps not. Materials needed to do the job were provided by the client and not the company so on one unfortunate situation I worked in a house that did not have gloves and yet I was guilted into (by the client, not the company) cleaning up poop with Walmart bags over my hands. You can call the company in emergencies like this but the client was already upset with me and guilting me into this so I felt pressure not to. I quit the next week because of another offer at a different company for caregiving. This review is only about working here and not about the companys ability to take care of clients -- because I did not work there long enough to accurately review that. Additionally it is about staff from over a year ago so things could have changed.Summary: Use extreme consideration when deciding to work here, especially if this is your first caregiving job.

Ive been with home Instead for a year now, I have 3 care takers that I call my friends. They take good care of me and my needs.

I LITERALLY BEG EACH AND EVERY ONE WHO EVEN THINKS ABOUT WORKING FOR OR USING THIS COMPANY TO CARE FOR THEIR LOVED ONE. I WORKED MY SCHEDULE, I PICKED UP OTHER SHIFTS BC THE SCHEDULE I WAS GIVEN WAS CHANGING THE WHOLE 3 WEEKS I WAS THERE. I RAN ALL OVER TOWN, UP BEFORE DAWN TO GET TO THE DEPTHS OF SODDY DAISY FROM MY HOME IN RINGGOLD, TO COME HOME FOR 3 HOURS AND BACK OUT AGAIN IN THE EVENING. I WAS WARNED ABOUT THE CLIENTS, BUT HAD NO CLUE HOW BAD THE COMPANY WAS ABOUT COMMUNICATING THE WHAT WE DO, WHAT WE ARE REQUIRED TO DO, WHAT TO EXPECT UPON ARRIVAL, AND THAT LIST GOES ON & ON AND THEY ARE UNBELIEVABLY STILL IN BUSINESS!!!!!! I GIVE YOU WARNINGS ONLY TO HOPE & PRAY THAT YOU THE CLIENT, OR YOU THE NEW EMPLOYEE KNOW HOW THIS COMPANY IS RAN. SO VERY POORLY. MY PAY WAS SCATTERED FOR EACH JOB, NEVER CERTAIN OF MY HOURLY WAGE. I WAS PROMISED MY TRAINING PAY AND 1 DAY WOULD BE ON THE FIRST CHECK BC I BEGAN NEAR THE END OF THE PAY PERIOD I GO IN TO GET MY PAY AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WOULD NEVER PAY FOR TRAINING ON THE FIRST CHECK, EVEN THOUGH I ALSO HAD A DAY OF WORK INCLUDED ON IT. SO I CONTINUE TO WORK, I PAID FOR MY PARKING ON THE FIRST DAY I WAS SENT DOWNTOWN WITHOUT ANY KNOWLEDGE OF THE PARKING SITUATION, THEN HAD TO KEEP RUSHING DOWN EVERY 2 HOURS PRAYING THAT I DIDNT GET A PARKING TICKET, HONESTLY I DIDNT HAVE THE AMOUNT OF MONEY NEEDED TO PARK THERE. THE JOB ITSELF WAS UNBEARABLE, THE THINGS THAT WERE REQUIRED WERE ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING, AND THE CLIENT WAS VERY VIOLENT. THEY NEVER WARNED ME THE FIRST SECOND OF WHAT TO EXPECT. WHEN I CALLED THEM ABOUT THE SITUATION I HAD TO USE MY TIME AND GAS TO GO GET A PARKING PASS AND WAS THEN TOLD HOW THE NEW PERSON, OF WHOM I HAD TO DEAL WITH MOST OF THE TIME, WAS NOT FAMILIAR WITH THEIR SYSTEM AND WHAT TO DO. SO HERE I GO AGAIN, STILL KEEPING TO THEIR SCHEDULE AND PICKING UP SHIFTS, USING MY GAS , MY TIME, MY HARD WORK. I DO THIS AND FEBRUARY 26TH, 2017 WAS THE ACTUAL LAST DAY OF WORK, EVEN THOUGH I PICKED UP SHIFTS, DISCUSSED WITH THE NEW GIRL, BUT STILL NOT ASSIGNED THE SHIFTS. I GO IN TO GET MY PAY FOR ALL OF THESE SHIFTS FROM ALL OVER TOWN AFTER 2&1/2 WEEKS ALL TO BE TOLD THAT I DO NOT GET PAID BC I, EVEN AFTER DISCUSSING WITH THEM ABOUT NOT KEEPING A 1 & 1/2 HOUR SHIFT THE 3rd OF MARCH BC I HAD TO GET A SECOND JOB DUE TO NOT HAVING WORK FROM HOME INSTEAD AND THAT I SIGNED A PIECE OF PAPER THE DAY OF TRAINING THAT THEY SLYLY SQUEEZE IN WHILE HAVING YOU SIGN EACH OF THE MANY FORMS. IMAGINE GOING TO PICK UP YOUR HARD EARNED CHECK AND BE TOLD, AFTER MAKING SURE THAT THE YOUNG LADY AHEAD OF YOU WHOM IS NEW AS WELL HAS LEFT THE BUILDING, BEFORE ASKING ME BACK TO THE OFFICE AS FAR BACK AS POSSIBLE TO SAY, YOU ARENT GETTING PAID TODAY, YOU ARENT GOING TO BE PAID ANYTHING BECAUSE WE GET TO KEEP YOUR CHECK BC YOU DIDNT CALL IN, EVEN THOUGH YOU WERE AT YOUR NEW PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT AND TEXTED BACK AND FORTH WITH ONE OF THE OFFICE LADIES THAT YOU WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO KEEP THAT 1&1/2 HOUR SHIFT FOR THE ENTIRE PAST WEEK OF WORK BECAUSE YOU SIGNED A FORM THAT IF YOU DIDNT STAY EMPLOYED WITH US FOR AT LEAST SIX MONTHS, WE LEGALLY HOLD YOUR PAY AND DONT HAVE TO PAY YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR HARD WORK, YOU HAVING TO DO UNSPEAKABLE JOBS FOR US THAT WE KNOW, BUT WE DONT CARE ENOUGH TO WARN YOU BEFORE HAVING YOU ACCEPT THE JOB MILEAGE AND GAS THAT TOOK AT LEAST 2 FULL TANKS OF GAS TO GET TO THE SHIFTS YOU PICKED UP FOR OUR COMPANY, HOME INSTEAD AT 7104 ,I AM BEYOND SHOCKED! IM IN COMPLETE DISBELIEF. I AM HURT, IM DEPRESSED, I CANT AFFORD MY DOCTOR BILLS, MY MEDICATION, MY GAS, MY BILLS! I AM IN DESPERATE NEED OF MY PAY, NOW WAITING OVER 6 WEEKS AND WORKING AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. THIS CANNOT CONTINUE. THEY TOLD ME THAT I WASNT THE ONLY ONE THEY HAD TO RECENTLY DO THIS TO, AS IF THAT WOULD EASE THE STRESS, THE SHOCK, THE ABSOLUTE DISBELIEF HOME INSTEAD OF CHATTANOOGA TN HAS PUT ME THROUGH. IM HERE TO FIGHT THIS, IM NOT GOING TO ROLL OVER AND ALLOW FUTURE CLIENTS AND EMPLOYEES GET HIRED AND FIRED /DISMISSED BC THEY HAVE A FORM THAT SAYS ITS OK. I WILL REPOST FURTHER INFORMATION
