I was at Standifer Place for about a month to get therapy. I was needing therapy because of a nerve disease that was debilitating to me. Everyone that took care of me was kind, friendly, and professional. They were all respectful and courteous to me, and always willing to take time out of their schedule to talk with me and see if I needed anything. My therapy was wonderful, and they pushed me to do things I didn’t think I could. My therapist believed in me and I got stronger than I ever imagined I would. I would definitely recommend people come to Standifer Place because of the quality of care I received and the staffs positive attitudes towards me. This is the first time I ever needed this type of care so I was really nervous, however; the folks here spent enough time with me that I was able to open up and feel more relaxed. Overall it was a very positive experience for me!

Do NOT let anyone you know go to this place. My mom was sent here for rehab after having COVID. She had to call me and I had to call the nurses to do their job. We begged them to transfer mom before she got really bad and they wouldn’t because they didn’t want to give her orders to. Now she is at Erlanger with fluid on her lungs. If they would have done what we asked in the first place she might not be as bad. Let me add the head nurse over 700 wing pretty much told us she had too much going on to listen to what we needed. She said it doesn’t happen like we want it to. But we told a nurse and she had a transport ready to go within 5 mins. Don’t get me started on trying to get someone on the phone after talking to the operator. NEVER AGAIN.

In regards to my son Kenneth Deeter Jr. My husband and I did not go visit our son because of the Coronavirus .When he had a stroke and was sent to Chattanooga to Erlanger Hospital where he spent two months and then from there he went to Standiford place for his therapy they said he would be there about 6 months. And a week later after being there a month my son was deceased. I dont know what went wrong I went one time to visit my son the room we was in with Messy I told my son I loved him and I would see him as soon as he came home never forget that son me and your father love you. and we will never give up on you. it was the worst time of my life after already Burying my daughter to have my son pass away as well no mother should have to ever go through this and feel the pain and they not and not understanding any of this I am not very well advanced in all this reading and writing but my children were my life I dont know how my son passed away when he was supposed to come home in a week everything was going great then the next thing I know my son was on a ventilator and a monitor for his heart pumping his heart to keep it alive .this is so hard to understand how come people cannot take care of your loved one when they get paid for doing this. my son was my life as well as my daughter now I have two children passed away. no mother should have to bury her children before them .please help me understand this.

My boyfriends mom was in this nursing home in 2017. He was taken care of more than she was!! And she was the patient there! The head nurse of this facility should be fired! Her initials are M.B. Sandifer needs to look into this nurse. This place should be where family members bring their sick loved one in there to be taken care of! To family members please keep your eyes on your loved one in this woman’s care! Please

Bad place to send a loved one because they do not do there job as they say they do my father was supposed to come home in a couple of days pryer to hia death they left him alone for 4 hours when was supposed to be watching him every hour then said he passed due to something that had nothing to do with him so they killed my father and Ill see to it this place is tore down

I have lived here for almost 3 years. I have been to other facilities and decided I wanted to come back to Standifer Place. The campus is breathtaking and well taken care of. I still have access to public transportation which is awesome. To top it all off the staff treat the residents with respect.

I have worked at HCSP for almost 19 years now. I have held 3 different positions here at the facility and have watched this facility grow into a wonder place for all areas of care. In the years I have worked here I have assisted in admitting over 7 family members including my own mother who was greatly taken care of on 2 separate admissions in 2018. I also had a total hip replacement in 2009 and did my complete rehab assignment here at the facility as well. Our Administrators, Nurses, Therapy staff, Dietary, Wound care and Social Services teams are wonderful to work with and become better each day upon taking care of our patients from the community and surrounding areas. My sister has been here since 2017 when she was displaced due to a home fire that left her husband dead and her in a coma. She came there after treatment in Atlanta burn unit. It has been a challenge for all of us. We were told she would have a private room for one month. She admitted to vent unit.They recently took 500 dollars from her account for bad debt. Her insurance paid during her skilling period and they have gotten all her income since. She had no bad debt. She got 1200 stimulus and they took over 500. SAD when nursing home patients are abused financially or otherwise. She was Tennessee resident and had no choice due to trach....had to go here.

My father was admitted with COVID related pnemonia. When my mom called to check on him she was told he is no longer on oxygen and no longer had pnemonia. She learned days later this was completely incorrect. Absolutely unacceptable!!!

I can not say enough about how well this facility treated me . I was nervous being such a young guy getting place here for rehabilitation after my partial leg amputation , until I met the people so eager to help me get back to a normal life. The staff here was so kind and I quickly felt acclimated as part of the family here. My physical therapist and my social worker , I can not praise enough they worked so hard to make sure I had what I need, and was ready to conquer my goals. I would 100% recommend this place if you are looking for a loved one or even yourself, for a respectable, caring , and friendly atmosphere!

Nurses at this place are allowed to steal from you and can get away with it....thank you mr.boozer should have came to you in the first place

I like the activities they have here for the residents. The staff here are really great and they take good care of me. They still let me be independent which I appreciate.I really like the pot roast and ham the kitchen serves.

Been here for 4 years now. I love it here. The staff treat me so good. My head nurse, Alisa Strawter is like a second mom. She has done so much for me. The nurses and aides take real good care of me. I would strongly recommend standifer place for your loved ones

This place is disgusting in all aspects!!! I beg you do NOT send your loved ones here.. the room remained dirty unless other family or I came in to clean my dads room. They also ignored my dad and treated him as if he was a nuisance when he needed a drink. ( as he could not lift his arms) he went septic while in there care and is now fighting for his life. As they didnt clean his wounds. They would yell at him and the staff argue with others staff in front of him and us the family. It was the worst experience Ive ever encountered. I work at a nursing home and was disgusted with the 3weeks my father was here!!

They are the nicest people I have ever met. While Ive been here I have received 1on1 attention from all levels of staff. I feel like they have a family atmosphere and the people here are called to serve others. It is a great facility!

When my father in law was placed in there my mother bought new pajamas and they were stolen before he could use them. They pretty much was waiting for him to die, which he did in about a week.Also when my mother was placed there she was not able to use her motorized chair and had to use a wheel chair which she could not move by herself to go to eat and no one there would push her wheel chair so eventual she starved to deathMy grandmother also had a short life at this place many years agoIf I could give no stars I would

They have really good nurses, and the CNAs are great. We laugh and have fun. They help me and all the other patients with any of their needs. I also like the food very much. The staff get me up on time and ready for therapy.The management staff keep things in order and keep staff well trained. I love this place!

I truly feel blessed to have had the opportunity to work for The Health Center at Standifer Place for the past four years. The different levels of care that are offered from short term rehab, to long term care, to the assisted living facility and independent living, represent how important they view continuity of care for their patients. The staff from nursing to administration care about delivering a high level of quality service to our patients and their families!

The staff that take care of me at Standifer Place are considerate. Theres not much I dont like. This place is like home...I would rather be here than at home.

I was a patient here at standifer place and the staff was excellent in taking care of me. I feel like they went above and beyond what they needed to. The facility was welcoming.

This place constantly smells like urine and seems dirty. The staff doesn’t seem to care much about their patients. They are very rude and have been known to let patients lay in their urine and feces on a daily basis and also not help them up when needed or get them things they need. I have heard others lay and yell for help to no avail. My husband had to pick up my loved one up out of the floor last time we were there because the CNA would not come help her to the restroom. It took them so long that my loved one ended up using the bathroom on herself!! It makes me very sad for my loved one to have to stay there!!! Also since my loved one has been there, quite a bit of her clothing has come up missing, even with writing her name in them, with no help from staff to find it or find who took it. I would love it if my loved one could get out of there!!! If you will notice, all the GLOWING 5-star reviews all come from the staff giving themselves pats on the back. I just wonder if they pay them to give good reviews!!

I have worked at Standifer Place for over 8 years now, but I have been a long term care licensed administrator for over 20 years, and in that time have seen many things. The thing that makes Standifer Place stand out among our peer group is the amazing staff, many who have been here for decades. People who have been doing this important but hard work dont do it that long for a paycheck only, it is a career of the heart for them. I would invite anyone to come and see for themselves what genuine caring spirit looks like.

I made a decision to work at Standifer Place 10 years ago, and Im still very glad of my decision. I love our team and the customers we serve. Im proud of our caring staff and the services we provide. Come visit us and see for yourself!

My Mother was here last year for nearly 5 months receiving Rehab and Wound Care. All of the Staff took exemplary care of her. She still talks about the Staff and some of the other Residents that she became friends with. I would advocate that if your loved one needs any category of care, you would consider this place.

Positive reviews of this facility are almost certainly fake. Im sitting in it right now. My mother is diabetic and on her first day has only had her blood sugar checked twice, which required prompting the staff. There are two nurses providing care for 37 patients. Parents are waiting an hour or more for bed pans. My motherblood sugar has been over 300 all day... It was 442 about 40 minutes ago but the nurse has to call in for medicine so we are still waiting....a CNA came in and asked how we were doing and when told about the current blood sugar levels she said we would keep praying....I think this facility goes out of its way to accept Medicare patients and provides only the staff required by law.

I have had multiple family members stay at the Health Center at Standifer Place and it is a wonderful home. I remember when my great grandfather was a resident and passed away; multiple CNA’s were crying over his passing. This meant a lot to me and my family and demonstrated how much they cared. I am proud to work at Standifer Place and show the same compassion to others.

My sister is going to be admitted there soon for rehab. She is on a trach. The only place that provided exemplary care for her from October until present has been Specialty Select at Tennova Powell and of course Blount Memorial when she had to be sent out for complications. She was recently sent from Summitview in Farragut back to Blount Memorial. She was treated worse that a dog would be at a vet. She couldnt speak and her roomate could not either. They were left with broken call bells and her commode was not emptied for 3 days. Whem the staff at Summitview was confronted , they denied everything and said that they do not put 2 trachs in one room. they tried to make me think I was crazy. My sister is terrified now because I live in Maryville and her only choice is Chattanooga. I am praying to God that she will get the proper care that she needs as when she becomes anxious her breathing gets compromised and she has to be put on the vent. I hope that our minds can be at ease and that she will be able to achieve her goals and come home soon.

I would recommend Standifer Place because of the staff, they were very nice to me. Everyone I talked to was kind. If I ever need to come back for rehab this is where I will come!

This place is pretty good at taking care of each of us (the patients) who live here and those who come and go for restorative therapy. Sometimes they are shorthanded which causes a longer waiting time to get the help that you need.Most of the time everything runs like clockwork but sometimes there are bumps in the road.

The staff is very friendly. I am happy here. The activities department is the best!!! My mother stayed here years ago before me and yes I would recommend it to others.

I have been the Director of Nursing at The Health Center at Standifer Place for 18 years and must say it is a great place to work. The facility staff strives to be the best. As I walk the halls I witness this everyday. I have patients and families solidify this daily. I could not be prouder to be the DON.

Standifer Place has come such a long way over the years. The staff truly cares for its patients and each other. A great place with a great all around environment, not to mention the beautiful campus its located on.

I had a family member that was recently discharged March 2018 from Health Care Standifer Place and the quality of care he received was excellent and the Social workers was very informative. He praised the therapy staff and was very appreciative of the services and care he received.

Everyone has been sweet and nice to me while I have been here. I have enjoyed the food which is often a concern when coming to a facility.

The nurses and CNAs treat me with respect and give good care. I go to church Sunday morning and Wednesday night here at facility and enjoy the services very much. I have visitors who visit and are able take me out. I can get on my computer OR watch tv. They have good channels like weather channel andHallmark. I was able to watch the Countdown to Christmas.

Delightful, tremendously caring organization that cares for my mother as though she were a family member. I want to extend to all members of the staff hugs and kisses full of thanks!

It is a pleasure to work with a group of people that have a passion and a heart to serve at such a demanding and sometimes challenging capacity. It is not always an easy task to accommodate hundreds of customers and employees, however, management/administration does a great job by supporting events that shows appreciation to their teams. They are always making improvements for our customers.

Horrible facility

As a part of management at Standifer Place for many years I have personally witnessed many dedicated team members whos number one priority is to wholeheartedly serve our patients.

There has been some good some bad while my mom has been in this facility for rehab! There has been other women that live in the facility permanently that have come into my mothers room stealing things. This woman has come in twice while I have been there. Someone needs to get ahold of this lady and put a stop to this even though mentally that would be hard. There has been times when my mother was rehabbing that she would call me crying because she has waited hours on someone to come help her get up. I think now that she has switched buildings that she loves her wound care specialists, nurses, and cna’s! I will be glad when she gets to come home very soon!

THIS PLACE DID GOOD FOR ABOUT A WK OF CARING FOR MY MOM, THEN MOM TOLD ME THAT U CANT GET ANY HELP AT NITE TIME FROM THE NURSES. THE NURSES DESK WAS IN SIGHT FROM HER ROOM. I SPOKE UP BC THEY ALSO WANTED MOM TO GO FROM ADULT PULL UPS TO DIAPERS. PRETTY MUCH THEY WANTED MY MOM TO GO ON HERSELF & THEY WOULD CHANGE HER WHENEVER !!! THE NURSES WORRY BOUT THEMSELVES INSTEAD OF THE PATIENTS!! SHORTLY AFTER i SPOKE UP MY MOM HAD A BAD MORNING ON HER BREATHING ISSUE, THEY GAVE HER A NEW PILL THAT EVENING I HAD TO MAKE THEM CALL A AMBULANCE. i THINK THEY GAVE HER SOMETHING THAT SHE WASNT SUPPOSE TO TAKE & IT SHALLOWED HER BREATHING OUT TO LOW & SO IT SLOWLY KILLED MY MOM!! THEN THEY SEND THE FAMILY A BILL FOR THIS 1 MEDICINE TO OUR HOME AFTER MOM PASSING!!!!! HOW CARING IS THAT?? IT WASNT THEIR LOVED ONE SO THOSE PEOPLE DIDNT CARE!

I have worked for The Health Center at Standifer Place for 12 years and absolutely love it! I am so proud of who I work for and the team I work with. It’s a great facility for patients, their families, and employees. I’m not only an employee, but have also been at patient. After a scary and surprising battle with Guillain Barre Syndrome 9 years ago, I received the upmost care at HCSP. The staff and rehab team is exceptional and the gym has all the equipment needed to recover and become stronger.

I have been a resident here at Standifer Place 3 1/2 months and I have felt nothing but safe, cared for, and encouraged by the doctors, nurses, PT/OT therapists, CNAs, and the auxiliary staff, as well. I have improved in every way from physically to mentally/emotionally and spiritually. The doctor`s have treated and tested me thoroughly. The social workers are exceptional and have provided information and met many of my needs, often going above and beyond in their efforts. I cant forget the unit clerks, and Ive had two of the best, Peyton and Keisha, and they keep everyone and everything running smoothly! The nursing staff, which includes the CNA`s have become like my family as they care for me on a daily basis. The CNA`s are beyond helpful with my needs but its the sunshiny attitudes, and the love of Mrs. Bennie and Meyling that makes me happy to be here as I recover and grow stronger. And the extraordinary aspect I`ve discovered here, is that many of the employees have worked here for decades! They are loyal employees of ten, twenty, thirty, and forty+ years! The support staff in housekeeping, maintenance, dietary, and restorative greet me, know my name and always seem to be happy to be working here. When I hear them singing, smiling, and being generally pleasant it boosts my spirits even more. Every day I look forward to activities, made even better by Cedric and Jennifer, who plan fun things to enhance each day and keep everyone laughing, happy, and busy! The activities have empowered me and encouraged me to engage with others. My favorite activities include book club, bingo, jewelry-making, artsy projects, karaoke and just being together coloring and listening to music! Very important to me, as well, are the many opportunities to go to Bible study and worship. Mondays with Pastor Perry, Tuesdays with the pink ladies, Thursday`s with the charismatic minister, Keilah Brownlee and opportunities to sing and worship on both Saturday`s and Sunday`s at 3pm with various non-denominational churches who bring lots of love and joy with them! I have been truly blessed as a resident of Standifer Place!
