I have seen my therapist, Melissa Doucette, for over 2 years. I love her warm & welcoming presence. She is very knowledgeable in trauma & abuse, as well as mental health and family dynamics. I continue to see her because of the work we accomplish through CBT & EMDR therapies. Thank you also to the kind reception staff!

Back in November of 2017 I went for one counseling session. I had primary insurance through my work and secondary through my husbands. I got a call from them in January saying they tried to submit my claim to insurance but my info was wrong. Turned out they switched which was primary and secondary. They called back at least TWO more times because they couldnt figure out which was which. The last time they called me I had every reason to believe they would finally submit my claim. Instead, I got a letter from a debt collector in July... I called my primary insurance company, THEY NEVER RECEIVED A CLAIM. I called Northland and they said they would take care of it.Well guess what... I got ANOTHER call from the debt collector a couple months later! I called Northland AGAIN and talked to Jared, he spoke to his manager and assured me that it would be dealt with.And now TODAY, another 4 months later, I got a call again from the debt collector. Northland FINALLY submitted a claim after I called them in September but the insurance company denied it because it was too long after the counseling session. It was Northlands responsibility to contact my secondary insurance with a letter from primary saying they denied it. But instead, NOTHING! I am so far beyond being angry. I originally went to them after experiencing sexual harassment and assault at my previous employer and was/still am suffering from anxiety/PTSD. This was literally the last thing I needed to deal with, and it was from the people that were SUPPOSED TO BE HELPING ME!!

Saw melissa at northland counseling in chanhassen, mn 2x and had it paid for by employee assistance program.I got a bill for 3 months. I called each time to tell them again... they needed to bill EAP.I would not go back till problem was solved.Once solved....I Saw sherri at same location and again was billed when it was an EAP session still.This time I asked for the manager, elaine? And told her that their billing is ridiculous and extremely upsetting. People are in pain and suicidal and should not even see a bill. She apologized and said that they do not have the resources to have someone go thru the bills, so it gets sent to every client and its the clients responsibility to find the discrepancies and call the office.I will never go back there. Way to stressful and disorganized!!

Data privacy breaches, un professional, liars, I am actually sick to my stomach on how I was treated by staff and didnt even have one session thank god.i wouldnt even trust them to pour a cup of coffee!!!!!!!!!

Melissa has been a blessing in my life and a wonderful help with grief, family, and mental health issues.
