Highly recommend Solidarity CrossFit!! I did personal training sessions with Coach Gabby. If you are looking to become strong and fit, she is the trainer for you! I started out with a specific goal in mind, the leg tuck for new Army ACFT, and with her coaching, met that goal. I also came in with wrist issues. By incorporating specific exercises, she improved their functionality level better than the occupational therapy sessions I had previously used. I cannot say enough good things about Gabby. With the workouts she designs for me, I feel confident in my physical fitness level after several years of not feeling so. She is an excellent coach and knows her profession--the workouts are diverse, never boring, and she pushes you to strive harder.

Great CrossFit gym. Probably some of the best coaching I have had in 10 years of CrossFit. Great location, good size classes, and a very welcoming atmosphere. If you are looking to start CrossFit or are an experienced athlete, I highly recommend this gym.

Had a great drop in class while in town. Well organized, clean, easy to find, and friendly. I joined the 6:30am class with about 8 members. We started and ended on time and got in a great workout. Only wish they did a shirt and drop-in combo for those of us who like to collect shirts from our travels.

Cant say enough great things about Michael and the entire Solidarity CrossFit team!! I joined the gym while in graduate school at UVA and found an amazingly supportive community at Solidarity. This was my first time starting CrossFit, and all of the coaches were incredibly helpful in their instruction on fitness, conditioning, and strength. For anyone living in the Charlottesville area - whether a permanent resident or student - I would highly recommend checking out Solidarity. Its a special place!

On a scale of cotton candy to Brussels sprouts, Solidarity CrossFit is certainly sauteed spinach with bacon, onions, and garlic. Toss in your favorite starch, and youre good to go.My sister and I dropped in to an evening CrossFit class at Solidarity CrossFit while visiting Charlottesville, and we discovered a box with pristine equipment, knowledgeable coaches, and friendly CrossFitters. Even though the coaches founds out that we were only in town for a few days, they were friendly, remembered our names (for the most part because were sisters who sometimes get mistaken for twins), and took the time to help us find equipment. If youre looking for a box to visit while in Charlottesville, definitely check out Solidarity CrossFit.

I could go on for days about the community, the athletes, the coaches and the programming. Each are stellar and whether youre just starting out or have been hitting the gym for years, this gym is likely for you. What makes Solidarity unique boils down to one word: investment. Ive worked out and been a member of many gyms and for the most part theres very little diversification, but Solidarity coaches and athletes truly invest a great amount of time and effort in cultivating and curating athletes into strong, swift, durable fire breathers who scale walls and crush ice. Each day another lego piece is added to an athletes repertoire via relatable and tangible coaching expertise and while many gyms will overlook an athletes weakness, Solidarity coaches will fervently work to address flaws in each members bag of movements. Investment in equipment, investment in athletes, and investment into the community all mesh to form an investment well worth your time and effort.

Yes I joined the Crossfit cult. Solidarity is awesome though, and much less cultish than some other Crossfits Ive visited. There are several classes that offer free childcare (yes!) and there are some laid back people who dont get super competitive at the classes Ive gone to. The trainers are knowledgeable and good about correcting any problems in a friendly non-condescending manner. I like how the location is fairly central in town -- other gyms Ive gone to are pretty out of the way.

This box is the real deal...what CrossFit is supposed to be. Community, support, workouts that are scaled and scale-able for everyone who walks in the door, newbie or mad-crazy WOD lover. Great equipment and a staff that is conscientious about performance and improvement. Super-clean, welcoming to traveling CrossFitters and a great little retail section. If youre wondering? Dont. This is the right CrossFit box if youre in Charlottesville!
