Only second visit but staff is friendly and do their work very professionally. Quick and thorough...and going to the dentist isnt one of my favorite things, so thats saying something. Also happy to share information on what/why they do.

Probably one of the best dental appointments Ive ever had!!! I shared with the staff dentist and her assistant that I suffer from severe anxiety going to the dentist. My appointment at Blue Ridge Dental was a very positive experience. The staff was kind, and very well educated in all areas I needed help with. From my check up, to my cavity and crown being done. All went wonderfully, and normally I am terrified of the dentist. Everyone I worked made sure I was comfortable, and happy. Two rare gems to find now a days!!! I had an emergency which they did not respond to my voicemails from the weekend, but when I called during normal office hours, they quickly filled me into an emergency spot the next day. The dental assistant was so nice and the doctor was very attentive and gave me referrals to other services the first appointment I’d ever seen him. 10/10 recommend especially in an emergency!

Ive had an extremely difficult time using CPAP mask due to breakouts, allergic reactions, etc., unable to use successfully; therefore decided to move forward to a mouthpiece. They were amazing! I had a dental emergency that required a tooth to be pulled, seen me within 24 hours. Very clean and followed strict covid guidelines. Also they were super quick with getting the tooth pulled. I was in the office maybe 25 mins. Not to mention the price (with insurance) was not a huge dent in my pocket.

We moved to the area from Florida last year and one of the first things on my list was to find a new dentist! I’ve had a lot of work done over the years from different dentists, so I knew at my first visit that I had found a good one here!I have been in 3 times so far, each time with a different hygienist, and they have all been so wonderful! Dr. Nick is also great. I most recently went in for a couple of fillings and Dr. Nick noticed one of my older fillings (done at a different dentist 5+ years ago) was done in a way that made flossing challenging. He said that he was going to fix it for me - way to go above and beyond! They also made sure I was happy with how everything felt after my fillings - encouraging me to feel my teeth and make sure everything was perfectly smooth! The entire team is very thoughtful and patient - I’m a happy camper!

Dr Justin is efficient, congenial, and uses just the right amount of numbing to cover the procedure. I was up and out the office, ready to eat lunch afterwards. His assistant Kelsey was also very knowledgeable, pleasant, and efficient. Overall a superb and painless visit.

After years of visiting this office I discovered that John Schoeb (part owner of Pro Re Nada brewery) was a part owner. John Schoeb threatened and harassed me on Facebook because he did not like a review I posted about the brewery (I still have all of the screenshots!!)He additionally had staff from the Crozet office harass and threaten me on Facebook.I recently became aware that they are charging patients the PPE that staff wears, $15 per patient, per visit. My insurance reimbursement was $10.81. Typically there is a right off between what your insurance pays and what the cost is, however they are charging patients in full. A rough cost estimate of the PPE they are using is $5. Therefore they are using the pandemic as a way to make profit.

I had a crown replaced by Dr Justin on 10/13 and it was the best dental experience Ive had in a dental chair in my 62 years of going to the dentist. I paid the requested amount due and on 10/21 Delta Dental sent a check to the dental office for the insurance portion and an EOB to me with the claim info and I saw that I had overpaid by $204. On 11/11 after 2 phone calls to the office I was finally able to confirm I did have a $204 credit and was told they would refund it to me. On 11/30 I called to follow up on the refund and was told they did not know when I would be refunded, that the checks were processed outside of the dental office and they had no control over it!? It seems very extreme to me that first I would be overcharged by an amount as large as $204 and then secondly be told they had no idea when I could expect to get my money back! Ive never heard of anything like this and feel like it is certainly not a fair way to do business!

Went here for my first appointment today - this place is awesome! The office is very comfortable and clean as it’s in a converted house. All of the staff is very welcoming and happy to answer questions and work with patients. My hygienist tech was awesome - knowledgable, considerate, and gentle. The dentist was also great and made sure that I understood the treatment plan they were recommending. Also, as far as I can tell, dental work done here is super affordable. I will be recommending to any friend who needs dental work or routine cleanings done in Charlottesville.

Ive had not a lot of bad experiences lately with dentist in Charlottesville. I got very lucky calling Blue Ridge dental early in the morning and they had me in a seat 45 minutes later. They are very friendly and explain everything to me before anythings being done. If you could ever go to a dentist spa this would be it, I really appreciate how nice and professional they were . I can only count on one hand how many times Ive giving a site five stars Blue Ridge dental and their staff absolutely get my five stars ,thank you. This is 100% true review 👍

I love Blue Ridge Dental! The staff and Justin are AMAZING! On 2 separate occasions I called them In terrible pain and they were able to squeeze me in and provide treatment and relief within just a few hours of calling. They were very understanding of my time limitation as it’s hard for me to get off work to schedule multiple appointments. They are also great with kids! My 3 year old loves going to the dentist! I simply can’t say enough great things about BRD! Give them a try! You won’t be disappointed!

Our first experience here was wonderful. I have a shy 6 year old and the hygienist Denise was so sweet to her. She didn’t speak to her like a baby or push her to talk when she got shy and clammed up. By the end of the appointment by daughter was chatting and telling her about our dogs. It was a great experience for my daughter and for me!

I am THE BIGGEST BABY when it comes to the dentist; however I have been a patient here for 3 years and I actually look forward to going. They are extremely accommodating. For example, today I went in for routine cleaning, shared a concern about 1 of my teeth. Turns out I needed a filling. Not only did I get my routine cleaning done, but they filled my tooth minutes afterwards rather than ask me to return another day. I was thrilled. Everyone is professional, caring, happy, personable..i cant say enough positive things about this place. EXCELLENT CARE every time!

I just got back from an emergency tooth extraction today (Saturday) and from the time I first called and left a message till when I had three teeth extracted was four hours total. Dr. Kevin Albert and the technician were pleasant, knowledgeable, very friendly and most importantly explained everything in detail while making it painless (!!) and kept me at ease the whole time. A very nice experience considering what had to be done.One very happy patient here !

My case is absolutely annoying and needs a ton of work. I first came in everyone was very kind, everyone seems to be on the same page with the dentist. Everyone was helpful even when it came down to paying. This office works with you especially if you have an annoying case like mine. Which cost money. Just happy I found a reliable dentist who actually wants to help you get to where you want to be oral wise.

Great experience--Sheila, my dental hygienist is the best--I would suggest her if you are a new client. Never had someone spend as much time on my teeth during a cleaning as she did. Dr. Nick is great too--fixed an old filling on one of my front teeth and made them even as well since I was already numbed up. Also, Ive had to go through the painful process of having a dental implant---it was a complicated one where I had to be sent to a periodontist. And although they did try and reset the post that had broken, they were very upfront and honest about my personal situation and options at different price levels to make a referral out.

Ive been a patient for a year and needed a fair amount of work. Dr. Hunter took the time to educate me, laid out a treatment plan and provided great care. The entire staff is excellent. Im a patient for life.

Dr Nick and ALL of the staff have always been so kind, professional and caring. I have a couple dental concerns and I have never once felt judged by this place. They honestly care for you and your dental health and I no longer avoid (for years) my visits.

Update 2021I am disappointed with how they handled an insurance/billing issue, that showed minimal care for the experience of loyal customers with multiple referrals. It should always be the policy to confirm dental plan coverage before scheduling a non-routine visit.--I had a great experience. The office was conveniently located, clean and nicely decorated, and I was seen promptly. The rooms had individual flat screen TVs for entertainment and to look at X-rays and other visuals. My hygienist was friendly and followed up about things I’d written on my intake form. The dentist introduced himself and addressed all my concerns. The cleaning was easy and it was an all around great experience! I will definitely return.

I love this place. I do not like having dental work or cleaning but the doctors and assistants are amazing. They are extremely cautious, patient, considerate and friendly. I just had Harley and Justin complete 3 fillings for me. This is the second time I have had this procedure done here. They were remarkable. I requested nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and it was ready as soon as I got in. That helped dramatically with my anxiety. Harley was extremely polite, kept great conversation and was very helpful during the procedure. Justin was professional, cutious and calm/patient. He did a phenomenal job with numbing, finishing fillings and making my “bite” just right. He took the time to listen and explain every step to me (as requested). I can’t rave about this place anymore, they are just extremly patient/helpful/considerate and professional. Thank you.

I was very disappointed with my visit today. I think before they do any type of procedure to find out when you last did it, so you dont have to pay out of pocket. They informed me today that I had a balance on my account, which I would have loved to have know 6 months ago. I think this is a blessing in disguise anyway, the atmosphere there isnt very cordial, at least when you enter. The dental assistant and the dentist who I saw once are okay....but Ill be finding another dentist.

The staff here was so patient with me! I was a new patient and not only did I get lost and arrived late, I was also having trouble narrowing down which insurance covered my dental costs, they waited for almost 45 minutes until the problem was sorted out (which they did for me) and showed no signs of irritation and maintained the utmost professional customer service. They even give you out-of-pocket estimates for any fees you may have, BEFORE they do anything (unheard of in todays world). They were great and I wish I was staying in the C-ville area to keep them as a dentist. Overall a very professional and positive experience, my dental hygienist was so personable and sweet as well.
