Ive been going to Dr. Yeargan for years and have always loved the man - he is honest, trustworthy, and takes his time with you to answer all of your questions.Yesterday was my first real experience with him as a family dentist, as my 4 year old had a cavity that needed to be filled. Dr. Yeargan was incredible - explaining each step, letting her hold the different components, keeping her engaged, and most importantly relaxed. I was more anxious than she was! He called the filling jewelry so she wouldnt be too scared, and referred to the drill as a motorcycle brush. He did test runs so she could hear it before he started, and seven the mosquito bite lidocaine injection didnt phase her! Seriously just incredible.He is a wonderful man, and a great dentist. I could not recommend anyone more!

I went for a cleaning and my husband went for several procedures and we are really impressed not only with the treatment but with the kindness and professionalism here. The front desk is such a sweetheart and always makes me feel at home. Shes an absolute treasure there. Definitely pleased and will continue our care here.

The staff is also so friendly and personal and they always get me fixed up quickly and efficiently when I need it. They make going to the dentist a very pleasant experience and I would recommend them 100% to anyone.

I had a chipped tooth that needed fixed. They were able to get me in quickly and were beyond helpful. I ended up having to take my little 3.5yr old. The staff was so sweet. They took turns entertaining her while I had my work done. She thought it was so fun! Usually I am not a fan of the dentist. I always feel rushed and not comfortable. The dentist and his team were awesome. They talked me through everything, gave me zero judgement (it had been a while since my last visit), and even tried to help me pick the best option for the best price, not just overselling the more expensive fix. From beginning to end it was a great experience. Everyone there went above and beyond. Definitely recommend!

I broke a tooth last night and immediately began searching for whatever dentist could get me in asap. Yeargan was the ONLY prompt reply I got. I submitted an appointment request at 8pm and I received a call before 8am this morning. They saw me at 11am! I have yet to even get returned calls or messages from every other dentist I inquired with.Dr. Yeargan had the utmost professional manner. He was personable, informative and thorough. I was extremely impressed with the technology of the place and the timeliness that they are able to get things done. They made me a replica half tooth and I was out in 2 hours.I never felt awkward, as all the staff are super friendly and accommodating.Will definitely be making this our dentist and totally worth the 30 min drive!

Dr. Yeargan is a good dentist. However, I feel they could do a better job on keeping the appointment time. Today I had a teeth cleaning. My appointment was 8am, but I didnt get the cleaning until 8:30am. I finished at 9:25am. 1 hour 25 min for tooth cleaning was too long. I made 8am appointment because I could go to work after that,

One of the things that drew me to this practice was that nearly every google review said something nice. I thought that was incredible so I called and made my first appointment. Now I have been there three times. I hadnt been to a dentist in quite a long time. I went in worried that I would be judged and I couldnt have been more wrong. Everyone I met was kind and understanding. Every single person in that office cares about what they are doing and about you as a patient. The practice seem to be well informed and if they dont know something, they arent afraid to say so. I would recommend Dr. Yeargans office to anyone. I am so glad I went. I have been going to Dr. Yeargan for quite awhile, and the office game keeps getting stronger. Friendly office staff, truly professional hygienists, very flexible hours (including after-work appointment times), all headed up by a knowledgeable dentist with a great sense of humor. No one loves going for regular checkups/fillings/etc., but this office is one I dont dread; the entire staff does all they can to make your visits smooth, stress-free, and worth your time and hard-earned dollars.

Very friendly staff and most generous to see me in an emergency even though I am not one of his registered patients. Dr. Yeargan quickly communicated with my regular dentist sending him an x-ray of the problem and called-in a prescription to my pharmacy for an antibiotic.

Cannot say anything but fantastic things. Was in town for the weekend for a family get together and in the flight in my temporary crown fell off. He was nice enough to fit me in and replace the broken fitting on a Friday afternoon at 3 pm. If I lived in town no matter what this would be my family dentist. Three generations of our family are patients of Dr. Yeargans. We all love the service from the whole team but particularly appreciate Dr. Yeargans attention to detail and his ability to keep up with the latest in both dentistry but also service. Love the text reminders.....and the friendly, knowledgeable service of the front desk and the hygienists.When we have had emergencies he is always quick to respond and goes out of his way to be accommodating.

Love this office I had a terrible toothache called them 8 at night they called me back first thing 8 in the morning and I have an appointment the same day. Jesse the office manager is so nice and so understanding and empathetic she called my dentist got my records made the appointment the same day when I got there Dani is the dentist assistant she is so sweet and did everything to make me comfortable and relax she spoke to me the whole entire time ease my nerves they had a Roma therapy Im very scared of the dentist and I felt very comfortable. Now Dr Yeragan he was very nice he saw that I was nervous he relax me with humor very funny guy he explained everything made sure I understood everything gave me my options was very gentle would definitely recommend this dentist office to anyone who needs a good dentist and amazing staff

Never went to the dentist as a kid (or an adult) before coming here. They came highly recommended by a coworker, for good reason. Friendly, so easy to work with, knowledgeable , and up on the latest techniques and technology. I got a crown yesterday on short notice and it was a really uneventful procedure from the patient standpoint. They do everything to make sure you know what is going on, how much it will cost, and to make sure you experience the least amount of discomfort. This is serious work, and for Dr. Yeargen and it was just so quick and easy. Dont be afraid of the dentist, and dont bother looking elsewhere, just come straight here.

Called in to set up first visit appointment. Staff was helpful and polite. A day before the appointment (Wednesday evening), I received a message stating my appointment had to be cancelled -- but that I would receive a phone call first thing in the morning to reschedule. I was fine with that. I never received said phone call; when I finally got tired of waiting, I called back on a Wednesday (a whole week later). Staff was very dismissive on the phone, and did not even apologize for not reaching back to me or having to cancel. Was too casual (at one point, even burped on the phone and did not apologize). I was scheduled almost a whole month later. When I called back to try an earlier appointment, this same person continued to be dismissive and casual. Tried to book me for the day before, as if it would be much help. I am sure Dr. Jody is an excellent professional, but he should have a talk with his front desk staff as not to lose more potential customers. I would not recommend this place on the basis of poor customer service.

They are impossible to get on the phone for scheduling or changing appointments. I once had to go in just to talk to them about an appointment I needed changed and they blamed it on a new phone system but I had the same problem the year before also so I think it’s just their office system. Currently trying to get my records to move to a different dentist and yet again can’t get them on the phone...To add to that I had about 4 or 5 cleanings done to give them a chance and had 1 good experience.

Staff was incredibly kind and reassuring for someone who is horrified of the dentist. Really appreciate the staff here. Definitely gets a recommendation from me.

Horrible staff! I went in for an appointment and the technician was so extremely rude and unprofessional that I walked out. It was the worst experience I have ever had in a dentist office before, even sitting through root canals was a better experience than dealing with a staff member like that. I never met the dentist so I cant say anything regarding him but the unprofessional staff would make me stay away regardless of the quality. I would recommend going where youre treated like a human being with respect and professionalism.

Ive been going to Dr. Yeargans office for the last 4-5 years for cleanings and checkups. His staff are very friendly and gentle on my gums. Dr. Yeargan has always treated me with honesty and respect. Theyve never suggested unnecessary treatment (Ive had this problem elsewhere) and they use clean, modern equipment. The dental x-ray machine even plays music while you get your pictures taken! He was originally recommended to me by a colleague and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Dr. Yeargen repaired a broken front tooth for me, right in the office. He cemented the broken piece long enough to photograph it, then had a computer-controlled machine which carved an exact copy. After filing down the stump, he cemented the custom-made cap, which is 3 years old now (still securely in place), and indistinguishable from its neighbors. It took about 2.5 hours and cost less than I thought it might.

Was 4;45 on a Friday and they fit me in as new patient due to horrific tooth absess. Amy at front desk was beyond amazing and service was truly unconparable ..dr was prompt and provided outstanding care getting to the issue and affordable without insisting upon costly solutions...would 100% recommend to anyone strongly impressed with this practice

Disappointed. Went for annual cleaning (free with insurance) and was charged 111.17$ because they gave me a deeper cleaning (procedure) and I was NOT informed of this! They even asked me why are you here today? I stated - for my annual cleaning. Then I called later to complain and left VM. Three days later, still no call back. Will be changing dentists.

Took him 3 tries and about 9 months to get the right color for an implant. Also he is only in the office 3 days a week. Glad I switched to someone else.

The Doctor was nice but nice doesnt fix my mouth! The front office people Doesnt return calls and its unacceptable to see someone twice for a consultation and charge them as a new patient both times. I have over a 500 bill for 2 sets of xrays and 2 dental plans?,?,? Left me on hold for 23 mins the first time I called and I should have known it wouldnt turn out good. I will say Amanda is nice too but again nice diesnt fix your mouth if it hurts to bad you cant eat :(

I have been going to this office and seeing Dr. Yeargan for almost ten years. Dr. Yeargan has a wonderful bedside manner with me, and I have started bringing my young son who was put at ease by Dr. Yeargan and the hygienist. I have only ever found it easy to get an appointment, courteous staff, and efficiency with this office. They are always on time, and you are in and out of the office in a reasonable amount of time. It is unfortunate that some of the reviewers had a bad experience, but it is not the norm. I will continue going to Dr. Yeargan as well as highly recommending him to my friends.

Weve been going to dentists in Charlottesville for 30 years and Dr. Yeargans practice is absolutely the best weve ever experienced. What started as just a test visit for myself to his practice has now extended to my husband, my children and their spouses, and now our grandchildren. I recently took my two grandchildren, ages 3 and 5 for their first dental visits.
