Dr. Prax helped me greatly with the process of my newborn sons tongue tie release. She did body work before and after the procedure to help ensure that it was smooth & efficient. She also recommended a wonderful IBCLC & Pediatric Dentist for the procedure. Im very grateful that I not only knew to start with a Chiropractor, but that she was the one I chose! Many of the issues surrounding my sons tongue tie have already greatly improved. With her help, he is already a much happier & healthier baby! I cant recommend this practice enough!

I was 5 days past my due date with no labor signs and only 1cm dilated. I met with Jennifer on Tuesday morning at 9am. We had a very helpful conversation and she did some body work. My baby was born the next morning at 07:01am and the labor was fast! From the start of contractions to the birth was 4.5 hours. Thank you Jennifer!!

I recently injured my back and neck from a pool diving incident. The pain worried me so I saw Dr. Prax for an adjustment and to just check in. The experience was great and after the adjustment all the lingering pain went away. It also helped with the headaches and prior back pain that I had.

I came to DR. Prax with extreme pain in my neck and back . In less than 3 months I am almost pain free. He really is knowledgeable about how the body works along with good nutrition, exercising and staying away from meds that just masks the pain. I came to Charlottesville for a month for an executive training during which time I saw Dr. Jennifer. Her adjustments helped me feel better and more comfortable during my last trimester of pregnancy and helped my baby go head down! I recommend this practice to everyone. Dr. Jennifer is warm and kind, just the sort of person you want to be treating you. She really listens and genuinely cares. And her front desk staff, especially Megan, are wonderful to work with. I can’t begin to explain how wonderful Dr. Jennifer and Dr. Brian are. Dr. Jen helped me throughout my entire pregnancy—without her, I would’ve been in a good bit of pain! Since giving birth, she has given me, my fiancé, and my son so much more than just chiropractic adjustments. Her knowledge, advice, and compassion are so comforting and truly helpful. Dr. Brian is just as incredible—it is plain to see how much he cares about each patient. Together they are quite the team, and I’m so glad I found them!

I am a bit overdue in writing this review. I had decided to see Dr. Jennifer as I was preparing to give birth at home with a care of midwifes and a doula. There wasnt an issue, however, I wanted to make sure the baby and I had the best alignment and to create space for the baby to rotate and assume the best position for her arrival, and Dr. Prax is THE specialist to see about that. After every adjustment, the baby would drop lower into the pelvis. Clearly she liked the alignment and it did work for us. My pushing phase lasted only half an hour and no tears, etc. I healed very quickly. Dr. Jennifer is gentle, caring, full of useful guidance, and words of support. A remarkable woman.After birth, I had a rough start with the breastfeeding. My baby was getting a bit sleepy during feedings. We saw Dr. Jennifer for that too! With a bit of work on my little girl, she definitely became a more active eater. Its like magic.I think it is worth doing a periodic check in with Dr. Jennifer to make sure childs development is on track and it never hurts to check ourselves as well. The appointments are only half an hour. Although this service is not covered by my in-network, half an hour session is definitely affordable. I highly recommend it, especially in preparation for birth.

Something was wrong, I knew it from the moment I squeezed myself through an underground cave crevice on a recent field trip with my daughter. My back was torqued out of place and in spasm. I told my kids to stop jumping on me, explaining that my back was injured. This was serious! After much ibuprofen and a week of rest, nothing changed. I was willing to concede, I needed help. One trip, one trip! to Prax Chiropractic and the relief was immediate. That evening, I invited my son to climb up on my shoulders to test the healing progress.......and good as new. I have been to several local chiropractors.Dr. Prax was the first to correctly identify and explain my issues. When he did it all made anatomical sense. I am a Massage Therapist, he has really help me with repetitive use issues related to work.I have referred quite a few clients to him. I hope they follow up. Fun but professional personality. Best decision weve made for our 10 month old daughter. She was having issues sleeping, rolling over, crawling, balancing and other milestone delays. During our first visit, while still in the office after her adjustment, our daughter went to her hands and knees and crawled. Something she wasnt able to do before. The next morning she was able to pull herself up to her knees and pull her leg under her to attempt to stand. She was not physically able to do this before either. After her second adjustment she slept 4 hours straight. This may not seem like a big deal but she has not slept more than an hour to two hours at a time since her birth. The day after her second appointment she fully pulled herself up to a standing position. She can raise up onto her knees with no support and balance there. I no longer have to support her back while she is in my arms. Prior to these adjustments she struggled to balance in an upright position. I cant thank Dr. Jennifer Prax enough. She listened to all of my concerns with genuine interest. Everything about the visit was comforting to me as a parent. She took the time to show and explain what she was going to do and why, even the amount of pressure she was going to use on my daughter. I truly appreciate everything she has done to help me understand and ease any worries I had. I cant thank her enough for what she has done for our daughter. She is finally flourishing like she should have been.

My mom has taken me to chiropractors since I was a child, so Ive seen many doctors throughout my life. The Praxes stand out to me more than anyone else because they dont just adjust. The incorporate many seemingly-simple techniques that relieve people in chronic pain. My stepfather saw Dr. Brian two days in a row for his back and hips and he said that he felt the same relief in two days that he did after seeing a physical therapist for four weeks. I began a long, tough road in August when I suddenly began having seizure-like symptoms which multiplied from 1-2 a night to nearly 35 in a 24 HR period. This persisted for 10 weeks. The first 3 weeks were misdiagnosed as vertigo. After multiple treatments, it was ruled out. I saw multiple specialists and had a gamut tests done. During this time, my health took away my ability to train which is my stress relief. I was medically pulled from what was supposed to be my first Ironman 140.6 race. I trained solid for a year and was devastated to have it taken away. I rarely left my house because I would I would fall to the ground and shake nearly everywhere I went. My sleep declined and my anxiety grew each week as the testing continued to show nothing.I finally decided to reach out to anyone and everyone that would listen and possibly offer an idea that may have been missed by previous doctors. I posted my concerns on my triathlon club web site. To my surprise, Dr Brian Prax called me. We had 1 consultation and he came to the same conclusion my husband and I had early on in my illness. He thought it was likely to do with an overlapping combo of prescription drugs that was given to me after I was diagnosed with a simple sinus infection. His treatment was simple and within 3 days, my episodes decreased by half. In 9 days, they ended. It has been almost 2 weeks since I have had one now. I have put my life back together. I am running again, assisting the soccer coach during practice, playing with my kids outdoors and getting ready to celebrate Thanksgiving with my family. I am most thankful this year for my familys love and support during this rough 10 weeks and to the doctor who gave me my life back, Dr Brian Prax. I went to Dr. Prax experiencing muscle spasms in my neck and shoulder as well as numbness in my hand. Dr. Prax designed an eight week program for me that fully relieved the spasms and numbness. I highly recommend Dr. Prax and staff.

I am 65 years old and trying to remain fit. I lead early morning fitness classes in my development using fitness DVDs (primarily HIIT, high intensity interval training) and play senior softball in the summer. I began to be slowed by nagging issues/injuries related to my shoulders, back and feet. After an analysis and a few treatments, I was playing softball with abandon again. Also, I had a shoulder injury which prevented me from lifting my arms above my head. In ones session, full motion was restored. What Dr. Prax has done for me is truly amazing.One day I will not be able to do the things I do but, that day is NOT today.

WOW, trying to think of a word to describe my adjustment today and WOW pretty much sums it up. I was having horrible neck stiffness and called Jeff to see if he could squeeze me in to see Dr. Brian, sure enough I was being seen within the hour. I was going for my neck pain but had a totally unexpected much needed benefit in addition to reducing the neck pain. I was having a horrible week, for 5 days was borderline panic/anxiety attack to the point that I did not work on Thursday. The anxiety was at a level that I had not had in quite some time. As I said I went to Dr. Brian for the neck pain BUT the unexpected result was as soon as he did the neck adjustment my anxiety vanished, immediately went away. At that moment I felt like I could actually breath, my hands stop sweating and I didnt feel like I needed to run from his office. Completely shocked by the instant calmness but ever so grateful!!

Dont see these Chiropractors! My child and I were patients for over a year Dr. Brian would tell me about Other patients and completely violate HIPPA, usually the patient he saw right before me he would even tell me their Name AND if there was a new issue or something related to me. And Dr. Jennifer... I really dislike her! My child saw her for a short period of time. She is fake and completely rude!! She is ONLY nice to you if you are currently seeing her. She is Mean to her staff! The new secretary at the time, the poor girl, was on the phone and Dr. Jennifer started fussing at her and demanding her attention, it was completely bazar and very unprofessional.Insurance Comment below happened to me too!!!! I was billed for TWO massages that never happened. I never even saw their massage therapist!! They are crooks!!

I came to Prax during November of 2012. I came with my four month old daughter who has been having bowel movement and gas issues since she was a week old. The poor thing was on miralax and milk of magnesia since two months of age. It just didnt seem right that my four month old already be on prescription meds. So I decided that it was time to take her to the chiropractor. My grandfathers mother took him to one way back in the fourties for the same problem, my grandfather had been set for surgery, luckily my great grandma was a smart woman and knew that a chiropractor would fix the problem. So I followed in those steps of that very smart woman and did the same for my daughter. During the initial consult Dr.Jennifer was amazing with Leila, and Leila seemed very taken with her aswell. She had my girl smiling during the whole process and as soon as she was adjusted Leila went limp and simply smiled. I knew then that this was what she needed. Shortly after coming home Leila filled two diapers and now passes gas many MANY times a day without struggle or complaint. I am so thankfull to Dr. Jen for the amazing care of Leila.
