This was my second visit with Dr. Ward and both times I have had a very good experience. He has been caring and carried a good conversation with me explaining my symptoms and possible solutions. It always make the patience (me) feel good getting an honest assessment.Over all my experience has been a positive one despite a long wait time to see the doctor both times. I’ve been struggling with severe pain in my elbow for years. Every doc I’ve seen said there was nothing to do except PT and rest. Dr. Ward was the only one to take a complete history, do an exhaustive exam, ask pertinent questions, and take me seriously. Together we developed a care plan that I have complete confidence in. Very generous with his time. I trust him. Oh, and he’s a really nice guy.

Dr. Ward and Ortho Carolina was a great experience in a time when I was in pain. Explained my problems clearly and made sure all the proper tests, procedures were done. Very friendly and considerate workers there throughout the whole process.

Very pleasant visit with Dr Alan Ward. He took the time to explain everything in detail to me about why my thumbs hurt. Dr Ward explained what could be done to elevate the pain from us a splint to surgery. I would certainly recommend Dr. Ward for anyone having problems with their hands.

Dr.Ward is an exceptional surgeon. He is a caring and compassionate professional. He shows concerned for his patients and does not push for surgery. He told me that I would know when the time was right. It was right for me in June of this year and my surgery was a complete success. I would not go to any other doctor for this procedure. Dr.Ward is also supported by great team a nurse and PA.

I have seen Dr. Ward several times for carpal tunnel. It was easy to make an appt. and appt. was made in a reasonable time period. From the appt. desk to the sign in desk and sign out desk the staff are professional, yet kind. Dr. Ward is extremely knowledgably, very patient, respectful and kind.. He listens actively to the issue and makes a plan of action for your well being. He is one of the top hand specialist around. I am very thankful to him, his RN and his staff. Best Doctor Ive ever known. Im Noah Mullis. I was 10 years old when he first done a surgery. And now Im about to be 20 in June. I wish I could have went more but I couldnt, 11 or 12 surgerys when I was 10 going thru ages 11 and 12. I remember it like it was yesterday day. Doctor Ward is a great man he is good at what he does. I liked meeting him everytime I was excited. He has good works I cant really remember them but they were great as well. Thank you Doctor Ward. If you wouldnt have I wouldnt be here today. Life saver.
