Terrible doctor. If I could give negative stars I would. Went for a follow for a terrible rash that my elderly mother has been battling. He acted as if he hadn’t seen her before or read any of his previous notes. He acted surprised that it had continued to spread even though he did not prescribe anything the first time he saw her. Then had to wait at the pharmacy for almost 2 hours for the office to call in a simple prescription. Also he took biopsies at previous visit and never communicated results until I had to call and ask. Will be looking for a new dermatologist and recommend avoiding Dr Schulman at all costs

If you need to see a dermatologist for a problem requiring immediate attention avoid Dr. David Schulman. I’ve been his patient in recent years and called his office today to request an appointment ASAP as I am experiencing serious pain with an inflamed and swollen cyst. I was told Dr. Schulman is only working three days per week and it will be a month to get an appointment. I explained I cannot wait that long and was instructed his practice is a “one man show” and if I need a doctor to find someone else. I requested he provide a referral with a larger practice. I was told to do a Google search as he doesn’t have time to call me and there’s no one in the office who has this information. Dr. Schulman must refer to the binding covenant that he promised to uphold during his medical training: the Hippocratic Oath, requiring he always act in patients’ interests.

If I could leave a zero I would. One of the worst, non compassionate doctors ever. Would not examine my skin. Didn’t even touch it. I’m sorry I was under the impression dermatologists were skin doctors. Told my husband to rub my feet. I have since been diagnosed with a serious skin condition stemming from issues he didn’t want to hear about. High five as he said to me. F. Don’t waste your time. Most of you others must have seen him on a day he took his doctor skill pills. I’m glad you were fortunate enough to have good visits. His staff was very kind.

Dr. Schulman was awesome! As someone who suffers from severe anxiety, he has a very calming presence. Love the Saturday hours, I was expecting a long wait, but I was in and out in about an hour, even had a mole removed during that time. Highly recommend

Dr. Schulman is one of the most down-to-earth doctors Ive ever met. He takes the time to explain everything. Oh and bonus- great sense of humor :) The entire staff are friendly, and best of all, I didnt have to do any waiting at all! Great group of professionals, highly recommended!

Dr. Schulman is the best! My first visit two years ago, he was very friendly, and very patient. To this day he has the same spirit, and he was blessed with great staff who also has great people skills. Dr. Schulman not only have a great relationship with his staff but his patients too. Its important to have team work, and hard to find staff who has the same demeanor, what a good spirited place to be in the most uncomfortable situation. Your skin is on the outside, but taking a trip here makes you feel good in the inside! I first came to Dr. Schulman with cystic acne, I wanted it gone that day, but of course there is no magic pill! We tried several medications, before we could go to the next step. Each visit Dr. Schulman and his staff made me feel so comfortable, and encouraged my gloomy days became brighter. My skin after two years is awesome, thanks to his expertise. I feel right at home every time go there. He not only know his job, but he knows his patients and Im sure he has quite a few. He remembered my voice on the phone and was able to call me by my first and last name, this just confirmed how attentive and devoted he is to his job, and his patients. Most Doctors just see you as a patient, but Dr. Schulman not only remembers your name, but can remember things you may say as a patient that brings humor during your visit. Although he is out of my way in travel, due to the great service, and great staff, meeting them half way for people who go above and beyond is worth every mile!!!! South Dermatology is the best! Excellent doctor! Diagnosed correctly both my kids in one visit. Just recommended moisturizers for my little one which eventually helped . No prescriptions medicines needed.

He is witty, kind and a wonderful caregiver. I was in a lot of pain. Dr. Schulman knew exactly what he is doing and got the Cyst out of my armpit within minutes, assured me that I would need nothing else after this visit. He is really good. I am lucky to visit him.

When your doc tells you that you have a rare and potentially dangerous reaction to a med and you need a dermatologist, and you call a doc youve seen twice in two years, and the person on the phone hears about your situation and does NOT say we are full today, what about a week from Tuesday, but instead tells you to come right now and they will fit you in, you know youve found not only the right doc, but the right team. Big fan of everyone in Docyr Schulmans office.

I have seen Dr. Schulman ever since moving to Charlotte years ago. This doctor will put your mind at ease. I would recommend to anyone who needs a great dermatologist.

Dr. Schulman and his staff are tops. The front desk ladies are efficient and super friendly. Dr. Schulman is not only a great doctor that gets down to business with the treatments, but he excels at patient rapport. He has a great sense of humor and can explain things well for lay people. He has totally healed my son of acne, whats more. He has also treated our daughter and performed an all over skin ck. on my mother in law and me.

I actually made my first appointment with Dr. Schulman because he was the only dermatologist I could find in Charlotte who had office hours on Saturdays. It was Ia bit last minute but, they were able to work me into the schedule. I couldnt be more thankful to have stumbled upon Dr, Schulman. He is very kind, down-to-earth, and thorough. Dr, Schulman even took time to call a couple of days following my appointment to check on me and make sure I was feeling better. The office staff and nurses are also very kind and welcoming. I very much recommend Dr. Schulman.

I feel like I saw a different doctor than the one many have described on these reviews. Dr. Schulman was pleasant but more focused on telling anecdotes than listening to me. He spent a rushed 10 minutes with me. The body check seemed less than thorough. He gave me samples of otc products that I told him Ive already tried and that didnt help and gave bland advice that I had already read online and didnt work. He was dismissive of my concerns and his tone was abrasive. When I asked how my skin looked he said , Im looking for black. I assume that means melanoma. Well, Ive already had a couple of carcinomas removed so I really want my dermatologist looking for more than black. And lastly he said, I dont want to see you for your skin (eczema) just skin checks (for cancer screening). Sorry but this visit with Schulman was my first and last.

He completely underestimated my healing time ( and I heal fast!) and despite being clear on what I wanted him to do, he left out those procedures that in his view were not covered by my insurance-despite my telling him I would pay for whatever insurance did not. These were procedures he was already doing under my insurance and would have been completed in seconds more time.

Dr. Schulman is a wonderful, helpful and extremely compassionate man. Hes always concerned for your well being and treats you with the utmost respect. I cant recommend him highly enough!

I had a mole removed years ago by another dermatologist. For some odd reason that area started to become sensitive and painful. I started to feel a small lump beneath my skin near the area I had a skin biopsy procedure. I called my dermatologist and her next availability was three months from today. At this point, my concern was locating a dermatologist whose experience in treating a broad range of skin of diverse ethnicity. I took a chance and called Dr. Schulman office to book an appointment. Upon arrival, the wait was approx. 20 minutes but that didnt bother me at all. The front desk staff and his assistance was friendly. Dr. Schulman was professional and a compassionate listener. Dr. Schulman provided his feedback that helped reduce a lot of stress. The stress was reduced but didnt entirely go away. Although, Dr. Schulman didnt believe the the lump was something to worry about. Im still wondering why do I have a small lump beneath my skin. He did explain where the pain could be coming from, suggested ways to heal my leg but he didnt feel the need to schedule me a follow up appointment. My review rate is based on my overall visit which was actually better than expected.

Ive called on the healthcare industry for over 10 years and Dr Schulman is one of the most personable, compassionate and knowlegeable physicians I have ever met. He and his courteous office staff will do their best to work you into the schedule within a few days for urgent needs. If you are looking for a new Dermatologist, I highly recommend Dr Schulman.

Couldnt find a more responsible, knowledgeable and personable doctor if i tried. I had two recent incidents of melanoma which were identified and diagnosed in an extraordinarily expiditious manner, with an immediate accomodation for treatment of the problem. Again, I could not recommend a doctor and his staff more highly.

Great bedside manner, unfortunately this office was unable to resolve a very painful issue I was experiencing after three visits in two weeks.I did not feel that the doctor listened to me at all. I have since found another dermatologist that was able to resolve my issue in one visit and listen to my concerns.
