Our doctor in Miami told us to go see Dr Meehan and I am so glad to have been led to him. His staff is friendly, he took lots of time to listen to what my past back/neck issues were, he did a thorough exam (including c-rays) and gave me a very gentle adjustment. I discovered Dr. Meehan this fall and have been seeing him and his team three days a week for the past two months. To say that Dr. Meehan is a gifted healer is an understatement. I dont even like to call him a chiropractor because he puts every other chiropractor Ive ever seen to shame. Dr. Meehan and his team are absolutely incredible! I have a myriad of health conditions that cause a high pain tolerance, this is the only chiropractor that I have been to that has brought my pain numbers to any sort of manageable level and keep me mobile. I was in an auto accident 34 years ago which resulted in 8 back surgeries. Over the years I moved to many different cities and states and have been treated by more than 25 chiropractors. I can say without any reservation Dr. Meehan is by far the best chiropractor to ever treat me. As a rule, other Chiropractors required numerous visits before I realized any benefit and most failed to help me at all. My lower two vertebrae are fused together and secured by wires, pins, screws, and rods. I also have a spinal chord stimulator implanted in my buttocks. Despite these anatomical changes to my spine from multiple spinal surgeries Dr. Meehan has “always” found a way to correct my misalignment and reduce my pain within one or two visits. Thank you Dr. Meehan for thinking outside the traditional chiropractor box. I am confident after your are treated by Dr. Meehan you will agree and understand why I decided to write this endorsement.

In July 2017 I was involved in a work related vehicle crash where I was struck in left front door area, my vehicle violently rolled over around 7 times. I had to be cut from the vehicle. A lot of the first years are vague.I have seen, and continue to see, several specialized doctors. My diagnosis in 2017 was a Mild Traumatic Brain Injury (MTBI) to the frontal lobe region that could last for 8 years. I work hard and I continue to improve. My balance,vision, spacial recognition, double vision, as well as dizziness and ringing in the ears was a common thing (I could not watch TV, be on computer, drive, cook, function as before for over a year and a half).My eye doctor in Raleigh (she specializes in MTBI to the eyes, She explained that the Orthogonal treatment has helped other patients). she recommended that we go see an Atlas Chiropractor, and felt like this would help my recovery as well. We were given Dr. Meehans information and made the appointment.After listening to Dale Juniors book about his injury (Very, very familiar symptoms), we decided we would start being pro-active and not wait for things to improve. We did not want to accept this condition as we were told once. So off we went to see Dr. Meehan.Now cutting to the point here....it was amazing as to the compassion and concern he has for his patients. The day we went, he stayed late to go through everything with us since we had a long drive (OVER an hour one way). after the second visit, we noticed a SIGNIFICANT improvement in my symptoms. I am now going to see him about every 10 days, instead of 3 times a week as at first.I now drive myself (which is amazing), I strongly encourage you to seek any and all treatment for your issues...of course I strongly recommend Dr. Meehan and his awesome staff...I cannot say enough about them. For I dont know how many years I have been in Charlotte, I found the best adjustments to be in the hands of Dr. Meehan. He didnt jerk my neck so, I like that technique better than traditional chiropractors. When my husband sees me standing he often comments on my posture. At the age of 75, I stand up straight. I have been seeing Dr. Meehan since around 2009 and he has been pivotal in getting me back to school and work.History:Ive been suffering from severe chronic neck pain since 2007 (linebacker injuries). The primary cause of my pain is osteophyte formations (bone spurs) forming on C3 and C4. I also have a thin disk at C5, and C1 and C2 are losing their natural spacing.I should note here, it was Dr. Meehan whom found these causes, not an orthopedist, or spinal surgeon, or any other expensive specialist. It was Dr. Meehan, using digital X-Rays.Treatment:I tried tons of treatments available in traditional medicine, from Radio frequency lesioning, to Botox, to Trigger Point Injections and more, but all with little result. Then I heard about atlas adjustments from someone who worked with my father. Atlas Orthogonal adjustments changed my life. Each time my atlas is out of alignment and I get it adjusted, I can immediately feel my blood flow returning to normal, as my body becomes flushed.I started seeing Dr. Meehan 3-4 times a week for the first 3 months and then my atlas slowly began to hold longer and longer. At this point in time, my atlas can hold in the correct position for up to a year or more.Another example of treatment I have received:Once I came into Meehans office with a foot I couldnt walk on, totally unrelated to my neck (but still an alignment issue). He did a dozen or so adjustments, from my mid back, down to my calves. By the time I came back out of his office, I could once again walk normally.Benefits:The most immediate change I noticed after getting treatments was how much better I was able to sleep. I still occasionally wake up in the night due to pain, but its not every 2 hours.In my last two semesters in Computer Engineering, I was only 0.12 points off the Deans list! This wouldnt be possible if I was in as much pain as before.I would recommend Dr. Meehan to anyone I know who is suffering from pain that cant be treated and/or explained by traditional medicine.If you live anywhere near NC, this guy is worth the trip!
